Easy, no appointment necessary, for lab work, part of the Providence network. After a doctor appointment on the first floor, the doctor requested lab work. I assumed I needed to head up the street to St. Vincent's Medical Center or the East Pavilion, but the doctor said, just go up to the 2nd floor and give them this paperwork. I said, 2nd floor of the Medical Center? No, just take the elevator up one floor. Note, building is in the process of getting painted so there were no signs (4/8/24.) After walking up and down a long hallway with no success, I stopped in a pediatric office and the receptionist told me the lab was in the hallway directly in front of the elevator. Walk across from the elevator, hallway goe off to right, about half way down on the right is LabCorp. The hallways are very sterile with small signage. Once inside, you do a self check in at the kiosk. The machine couldn't read my insurance card, no idea why, so I had to manually type in all the info. This happened to several other people so it definitely warrants being fixed. After that, I took a seat and waited my turn. Some people had set up an appointment so they were in front of me. There is a screen with people's initials so you can see where you are in the queue. My wait was about ten minutes. A little soft background music in the waiting area would enhance the environment. The technician was friendly, efficient, and most important, skilled. Hit the vein first time even though I was a bit dehydrated, and a minute later, done. I have an order for a repeat test for early June, and now that I know this lab exists, I'll stop here. There is a parking lot right out front, easy exit off 26, very convenient. read more

Not a trustworthy place. Would not recommend. Its unfortunate to see American Healthcare continue to decline at such a rapid pace

Day 1--- trying to get my blood drawn at LabCorp-St Vincent on Barnes Rd My doctor sent in a fax for blood work. I checked, waited about 20 minutes and then was told they had no orders either electronic or fax. I know my doctor did it as I was on the phone with him when he made the order and sent it in. LabCorp conveniently does not have any paper copies of their faxes anymore so there is nowhere to physically look to see what happens when errors occur. Believe me, this is not the first error in LabCorp's electronic system that I have encountered and one of their own employees admitted she had problems as well. Thinking he made a mistake and sent it to their other Barnes Road location (Wouldn't you think they would add something to the end of the LabCorp name as I did above to distinguish it from the other one which is one block away to avoid errors for those who do not know there are multiple LabCorp's on the same street? There even used to be three of them within a few blocks which is still on the internet to confuse the unknowing.) So, because LabCorp is nearly impossible to reach by phone, which I did try to do, I went to the other nearby location. No orders there either. LabCorp gave me their fax number which they have conveniently made copious numbers of copies to give out probably because they have this same issue happening on an ongoing basis. I had my doctor resend the fax. Day 2 -----trying to get my blood drawn at LabCorp-St Vincent on Barnes Rd My doctor confirmed he resent the fax, and the system said it was received to the same location as yesterday with the number provided by LabCorp. Before leaving the house, I attempted to call to see that they did get the orders but again was unable to get through as they just want you to leave your number so they can return your call at their convenience. So back to the lab, checked in, waited only about 5 minutes today before they told me they had no orders for me again. They had no idea why they didn't receive two faxes and had no help to give me other than to go to my doctor's office to get a paper copy. Isn't the whole idea of a fax or electronic order and the fact that you may not be physically with your doctor at every visit (think Telehealth calls) so they send it electronically? It is really sad that we cannot use technology to save paper ending up in the landfill because a system is so poorly designed or does not work properly for whatever reason. I have spent a total of around two frustrating hours over two days trying to get a simple blood test done and still have nothing to show for it. My doctor has kindly emailed me a paper copy to accomplish this task tomorrow. If any of you has to use this lab be sure to have a backup paper copy because there is no guarantee your electronic one will be in the system. Personally, I think this is a really shoddy way to treat people who already have medical issues and often may not be feeling well. I did call into their main office, and a very nice man is looking into the problem for me. I hope they can fix whatever ails their system, but I am not holding out hope for it. I will always bring the paper copy with me from now on because these electronic orders are not reliable at all. If I had another in network provider to use, I certainly would not be using LabCorp again. read more

During a lengthy hospital stay, a number of contracted Labcorp employees seemed improperly trained in care quality with unnecessary roughness and haphazard technique that blew my veins. This wasn't the case when a hospital employee drew my blood. I knew the difference because Labcorp employees wore lab coats displaying the company name. After discharge, I had additional outpatient lab tests. There was no problem with their technique but the turnaround time it took to receive the results took too long, from 3-8 days. The eight day result was to determine the therapeutic level of a medication. By the time they returned the result, I was finished with the medication. The outpatient check-in process was disorganized and lengthy as the phlebotomists were also in charge of the front desk. Perhaps they were short handed that day, but they were continually unsure of who was doing what with the patients. read more

I had a blood draw on March 31, 2025 at the facility at Legacy Good Samaritan. In the procedure area, there were multiple items of TRASH on the floor on both sides of the room--discarded gloves and foil packets from the alcohol wipes. Further, they had a blood draw station set up in the doorway to the EMERGENCY EXIT. I should have notified the fire department. The first tech tied the torniquet over my rolled-up sweater, several layers of knit fabric. I corrected her. The second one jabbed me so hard it was as if she didn't care. She chuckled when I said OW! I give two stars only because they called me back withing 10 minutes of my appointment time and at least one tech had been there before the takeover, so they did not completely flush the staff. I don't even know where to begin. So I guess I'll start from the beginning. I went to get a bloodwork. They wouldn't let me in unless I had my insurance card and would check in and having the card pictured. Ok, inconvenient but had to come back. Did the check in. I go back to have my labs done and the room is filth. There were pill!! Pills on the floor! And trash like a syringe or cap can't remember. Then couple weeks later a bill for $900 comes in the mail. I call them to see what that was about as my insurance usually covers it all. They said insurance wasn't billed! WASNT BILLED!!!! WT... The customer service rep says they don't have my insurance on file... excuse me? I had to come back with my insurance so you can take a pic of it for your file and you don't have my insurance on your file? I'm sorry what? This my second time trying to do a routine lab. Today my appointment was cancelled 45 minutes prior, becuase the facility is closed (at the hospital). For some reason they didn't know the facility was going to be closed yesterday. Looking at the reviews maybe it's easy elsewhere but it's a goat rodeo in Hood River. I must admit, I was a little anxious about going there due to the poor reviews. I was there a little early and spent 30 seconds in the waiting room and was ushered into a room where Naheelah got me situated and hit the vein the very first time. My veins have a tendency to roll, making it difficult to draw blood sometimes. She was amazing. The staff was so friendly and I don't think I was there 5 minutes, start to finish. Clackamas labcorp is close to me and convenient. The staff is professional and friendly. However, to actually receive timely results from blood draws is bad and getting worse. My most recent blood draw was 19 days ago. I have not received results yet. I have draws done every month. It has been slow before, but it is getting worst. Support requests are ignored... My doctors at UW now asked me to find a more reliable- a more responsive lab. Lung transplant patients require monitoring-it's critical. But Labcorp is somewhat of a monopoly near here and they certainly remind me why monopolies are bad for customers!! read more

Second visit they lost the order that my M.D. sent the night before. Now, they can't get the results to my M. D. still, after nine days. It was allegedly faxed yesterday, but it was never received, and it does not show up in my patient portal. What. a. NIGHTMARE. I have Providence docs and insurance so I have to use them. The check-in kiosk is often down and there is no sign or staff to direct patients to clipboard sign in sheet. I arrived at 8:00 for 8:15 appointment. I wasn't seen until 8:45. Why bother with phone app if it never works? The staff hate working there. I asked why they tolerate it. Most are just getting experience until they can move on. To sum it up it's really hard to tell who Labcorp hates more, their clients or their staff. I made an appointment for 8:30 AM and fasted for over 12 hours in anticipation of lab work. I arrived and checked in at kiosk before 8:30 AM. At about 8:35, I asked a technician whether they had a record of my appointment and would be honoring that time. I was told it would be another 5-10 minutes. I gave up and headed to work about 15 minutes later. I called LabCorp to report the issue and re-schedule, using the same phone number I'd used earlier in the week (which I'd been given by my doctor's office) and was now told this was the wrong number and he couldn't help me. I finally received a text message indicating they were ready for me at 9:50 AM, which is nearly 1.5 hours past my appointment time. Had a lab draw today. We waited 3 hours, diabetics were complaining of blood sugar drops due to the wait which for some was beyond our 3 hour wait. One woman had her husband drop her off, he went to OHSU for his lab draws and came back with a 2 hour wait afterwards. The worst part was the young woman who drew my blood. She wore no gloves, sprayed blood all over me and had her mask down around her chin. The lab area had garbage in corners and the staff was openly complaining about the people waiting. This was one of the worst experiences I have had with lab draws. I used to think Providence, St. Vincent Medical Center was a good hospital. Not so sure of it now. read more

Labcore took over lab services for Providence Health and since they are the lab, everything has gone down hill. Getting lab orders to them are no longer automatic, wait times are horid and there is no such thing as coustomer service. It is so bad we are looking to leave the Providence Health to another provider that doesn't use Labcore. I was absolutely appalled by the person that came to our home. First she could nit park in the right space, and acted ignorant and refused to move. She came to draw blood for highly contagious diseases that the hospital possibly exposed us to. She wore gloves and other then that there was less then a lack of concern for any sanitation. She set her bag on my bed. So I put a chuck under it. She told me to leave her bag alone and moved it off the chuck onto my blanket. She pulled out the vials and needle tape and gauze and put them on my pillow. I grabbed another chuck and offered it to her. She said she had one. But did not use it. When she drew my sons blood I put a chuck under his arm she shaved it out of her way. I laid another chuck out for her. She laid the bloody gauze on his cloth lazyboy. She did not do a very good job. I had never seen anything like it. She only partially filled all three vials. Then she had to repose him in the other arm. And added more blood to all three vials. Again with the chuck. Then when she tried to set the bloody gauze down I slipped a chuck under and she turned and set it on my cloth chair along with the vials. Then she took her dirty gloves off and shoved them in her bag. I have called repeatedly and went on line to contact the company about what happened I have not heard from them it has been almost a week now. Providence let an outside company come in to do their labs. So when you have to get labs you have no choice but labcorp. You enter to machines for checking in rather than the humans sitting at the window. I sat for 30min before the human called me to the window to ask the same questions I filled in on the machine. 30min after guy at desk and I'm still not called back. And hour for blood work and I haven't even been called back yet. They need a better system read more

I rarely, if ever leave reviews. This is really just a warning if you value your time. Their website AND phone line clearly state that walk-ins are welcome. I went there today to complete a pre-employment drug screening and was turned away. Apparently they have to be completed by appointment. Which mind you, aren't available for nearly two weeks. Not only here but ALL of the LabCorp locations in the area. So now my window to get tested has closed and I'm having to scramble to get an extension with my new employer and find somewhere else to go that's open on the weekend. Thanks LabCorp! This is an example of the downgrading of health services for profit. When it was a Providence lab it was much more patient focused with shorter wait times and better management. Now it is like a socialized medical clinic in Canada with lines out the door and very long wait time in a crowded, poorly equipped waiting room. What they didn't tell me was that they closed at 4:30 pm, so when I got there, the doors were locked and no one would answer. Daughter went for a stool sample and they lost it went back 6 days later waited for 2 hours to be told their out of stool test kits. Can't get a results to find out the health problem. I came here this morning for a routine lab. I was on time and checked in. I sat for 40 minutes after checking in and questioned the staff when I saw that people who were checking in after me had been called before me. She told me I don't have an appointment in their system. I showed her my paperwork which showed I did have an appointment at that location and at the time 10:30 am. She then said she would have to fit me in because she was the only person there. I feel bad for her but I still find this unacceptable service. She knew I checked in and acknowledged that. Why she didn't bother to address me if she knew I didn't have an appointment is what upsets me and then to tell me I don't know how long I'd have to wait makes it worse. This company needs to staff adequately or close if you don't have enough staff then this staff member needs to realize no matter how bad the situation is she needs to reach higher to be of service. read more

Came here to give my fingerprints for a background check. Not hard to find really, up on the second floor. As I walked in, there was no one at the reception desk. There was a sign in sheet which I used, then took a seat. The waiting room was kinda blah. About 7 others waiting their turn. The place needs music. Very awkward silence. As I waited, I was surprised to be called up first. Perhaps because I had an appointment. I didn't see any others check off they had an appointment on the sign in sheet. The person that took my finger prints was very nice and also funny. Made the experience fun. Yeah, I know that sounds weird. They were all digital prints which went very quickly. ZERO STARS! I have major feedback on the staff at this office. I brought my eleven year old son in for annual blood work today and it was a HORRIBLE visit. After the third tube he turned white/pale, blacked out and stopped breathing. The staff did not get the oxygen tank, the smell tube and or even lay him on the floor with his knees over head. They did NOTHING, it was horrible! I worked in healthcare for ten plus years of my life; this should have been protocol. In addition, i wanted to spike his blood sugar levels quickly..... They said that they had nothing and that i should have brought something myself....? Do these people not experience something like this all day...? This was very scary and would never recommend this place or business to anyone. Please share this feedback and PLEASE train the staff with emergency protocol. Anytime lab work, specifically blood draws, don't involve me being stabbed more than once I'm giving the tech ACES for a grade. I pulled INTO the parking space at 4:27 today. I got BACK into the car at 4:42. That's 15 minutes, including me getting halfway in, and walking back to the car because I'd forgotten my lab order. Then I had to walk to the office on the second floor. And once I got in, Nahleen (I'm not sure if I spelled this correctly or not,) took my order and had to input it and I had to give payment as well. So it took maybe 5-7 minutes for her to get my blood. Now let me be SPECIFIC about this. I have "hidden veins" and I've also been told that my veins "roll," I have no idea what any of that means BUT I usually leave after a blood draw with 4-6 stab wounds and not always a successful draw. I always ask the tech to do my hand first because it ends up there anyway but this time Nahleen got it the first try, in my hand, with NO issue. She was nice, it was easy and it was well worth the $11 copay. Thank you so much for making this a non-traumatizing experience and for it being SO fast!!!!! read more

Do not recommend, terrible and unfriendly service. 1 star because I can't do 0. I should've known from the voicemail I received that it was going to be a waste of time and poor practice. My company scheduled me for an antibody test and the next available appointment was at 4:30pm, as listed available on their site. Which, come to find out, is when they close. Thus, the agitated voicemail I received this morning - checking that I wanted 4:30pm. I tried to call them back to verify and neither the Spanish nor English menu could get me back to the rude receptionist. Once I arrived, I checked in via the express option and was asked for a paper copy of my order slip. When I mentioned it was my first time going in, and needed help with the terminology, I was rudely interrupted and dismissed (as if I should've known better). Between masks and language barriers, I was utterly taken a back by the appalling and discouraging tone from the staff. I get that it's the end of everyone's day but it's unacceptable to put that on clients and customers. The email I received from LabCorp permitted mobile forms, and arriving from work, this made sense to me. However, they did not accept my mobile order slip (despite the email disclaimer) and declined printing it via email. At this point, the receptionist could've provided sympathy and better assistance (before 4:30), instead of going to the back and laughing or gossiping with the practitioner. In between feeling uncomfortable by their demeanor, I tried downloading a fax app but there was limited to no wifi or cellular service. From here, they both became extremely rude and unhelpful right at 4:30pm, while I was still trying to fax it to them. Then, they repeatedly said they were going call their supervisor, as if to scare me off. Regardless of having arrived early and staying until 4:40, I sat in the waiting area patiently while trying to find a way to fax them the order slip - since they claim to not have emails nor accept mobile devices as proof. All my information was readily available but they started to close up, despite having a 4:30pm appointment confirmed. I could easily put their names in this review and share their recorded attitudes and terrible customer service; it's the principle of their business to better train staff, to ensure quality services and experiences, no matter the time or day. I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed in these two, as I'm sure not all of the LabCorp staff are this unprofessional. read more
