Months before I was reading reviews from this location and one name kept appearing with stellar reviews, 'Angela'. It was my lucky day, Angela was working the day I went in... YAY!!!! I have no complaints about the service. My main complaint is the frankly awful claims system they have in place. It is their job to file the claim correctly, but they have made a mistake filing the claim, and as a result have become an 'Out of Network' provider in the eyes of my insurance. I know for a fact that they made a mistake because my insurance has investigated the claim and told me that according to the claims, the labs involved were in Miramar, Florida. I know for a fact that this lab is in-network as I had the same labs done a couple months before at this exact same location under the guidance of my PCP. Even after contacting Quest to correct this claim, they cannot submit it correctly and have thrust the cost onto me. It has been 5 months acting as messenger between Quest and my insurance. Angela really knows her stuff. I've come home from blood draws with black hematomas on my arms that take weeks to heal and one guy at Providence St Vincents Hospital, after numerous unsuccessful pokes, had to use an ultrasound to find my vein, but not Angela. She's in and out with barely a mark and never a bruise so far and she's drawn my blood quite a few times. She's awesome! She works at the Quest on Cornell Rd in Portland. God Bless Her! read more

I had a great experience here with Caitlyn (who was a roving employee, normally based at the Westover location). However, it was clear the space was disorganized and the mask rule wasn't enforced by visitors because, as I was told, the facility didn't have any masks to give customers and were told they wouldn't for a couple months. Also..I was given a bag with vials to collect samples But zero info on what to do with the vials after samples were collected and the bag has no indicator they are my samples other than what I wrote in read more

Unfortunately, Eric no longer works here. Their "floating" employee, Tina who was there temporarily until they find a permanent is atrocious. I was there 10 min prior to my scheduled appointment at 910, but Tina was very late. I had to wait until 920 before I could be seen, and only after she called someone who came in after me and after I complained. The website states that if you are 10 min late, you will be considered a walk in in the system which means even a longer wait. Tina mistakenly claimed that it is 30 min late, which is flat out wrong. When I was getting my blood drawn she was extremely disrespectful and called me "the Boss" because I asked for a butterfly needle instead of the regular needle. She even poked me extra for good measure. Quest Diagnostics is horrible; dont go. read more

My son's employer required COVID test via Quest at a completely inconvenient Walmart in Hillsboro. He's a college student with limited funds and lives 40 minutes away from the location he was required to go to. When he arrived at his scheduled appointment, Quest did not have any of his paperwork in order. After getting out of line to call Quest and being on hold with Quest for a half an hour he was told everything had been set up correctly only to get back in line with nothing correct. Must be nice to be able to stay in business and collect a paycheck by being so incompetent while also not caring at all about customers and expenses incurred by someone with little to no cash flow especially during a historical pandemic. I went to another Quest prior to going to this one; the other one wouldn't even open the door. I'm here to tell you that the most kind and efficient person is undoubtedly Sabrina. She was amazing. I don't know how much you guys are paying that woman but whatever it is isn't enough. Give her a raise and some dang flowers because wow. Words can't even describe how wonderful she is. The appointment through website doesn't work. Even scheduling it, stand by list was being called before me, so I ended up being called 30 minutes after my appointment, not respectful. Also, checkin by appointment doesn't work because I scheduled it, was there, checked in and my name kept disappearing from the list. read more

I went to pick up a specimen lab kit and sat waiting with my 5 year old for over 20 minutes before I finally knocked on the tech's closed door and requested she help me. I was signed in this entire time and the kit is all I needed. I then dropped off this kit to another Quest location only to be told the previous Quest tech did not inform me how to fill the sample correctly. What a waste of my time! Maybe an instruction sheet accompanying the kit would be easy enough! The sample had to be destroyed and now I need to start all over again. This took well over 2 hours of my time between the 2 places. I had to wait 20 minutes at the 2nd Quest location (Teal) even though the tech was sitting in her room waiting 10 minutes for the scheduled client's appointment to begin, despite me being there 1st. She told me as a walk-in I have to wait until all appointments are done. Quest should create a process whereas a specimen kit can be picked up and dropped off without all this waiting around. It boggles my mind why this can't be done more efficiently with today's technology. Quest owes me a complimentary Starbucks gift card for this mess. read more

I was really concerned about going here having read the reviews but my Insurance requires it. I was a walk in, not realizing I should have made an appt. The waiting room isn't very welcoming so I sat there really worried due to the reviews I read. I was happily surprised that the phlebotomist "S. H" came out and told me she had an appointment coming in but would do her best to get me in. I had about an hour wait and when I got called "S. H." was very friendly. I am sorry I can't remember how to spell her name. I think it's important that people realize the phlebotomists sees patienta every 10mins. They have to deal with Insurance entry for new patients like I was. If you need to be somewhere in a short time make an appointment. The websites should stop advertising Walk-ins accepted because it makes people irritated when they have to wait and the Phlebotomist takes all the heat. "S.H." was very kind, very thorough, professional and gentle. I will make an appointment next time as it's the best idea. I will go back, I was happy and relieve. read more

I tried to call Quest and talk to a human with some questions. No such luck....they don't want to pay humans to provide customer service.

I just experienced terrible customer service at this location. Not only was I told by the phlebotomist that she had to leave in fifteen minutes despite my having an appointment and her running late, but she also shamed me once I was in her chair and she couldn't find my test orders. I had been told to make the appointment by my provider and that the tests had been faxed over. I remained respectful and she decided to call my provider. It seems there was a problem between my insurance and Quest which the phlebotomist decided was my fault. She chastised me when I didn't want to just reschedule and when I stated I had taken the morning off work for this appointment and hoped to not have to come back. In the end I left without my blood being drawn because I was tired of being chastised and shamed. I have called Quest's central customer service. Avoid at all costs. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The older woman who worked here 90% of the time is literally the rudest and coldest person I've met. Getting blood drawn is not fun for anyone and she will hardly acknowledge or speak you! If she hates people so much she sincerely needs to find a new job. I was hoping she just had a bad day but every single time I've gone there she's been exactly just as rude. Another woman was in there as well and was telling me about her too. Someone seriously needs to speak with her and explain how she is treating her customers is inexcusable. read more

The phlebotomist was great! She was was very patient, very nice and extremely overworked. I had an appointment at 8:45am, she was already running about 20 minutes behind. Understandable once it was my turn. The one and only phlebotomist has to data enter in all of your personal & insurance info, lab tests ordered, collect the copay and make copies of it all. That alone takes quite awhile. She's doing the job of another person in a ten minute appointment window. Then there was a challenge in taking blood, uncooperative veins, taking even more time. With walk-ins added to the mix it sure makes this Quest business model look weak in their level of customer service and patient care. Their locations maybe convenient, but their schedule to cram in so many appointments is not manageable or appreciated for all involved. Especially, after fasting for hours and hours and being late for work. I will consider using another lab service in the future. read more

I'm 63 and normally don't write reviews because as a business owner myself there are a lot of people that whine online. However this was deserving and zero stars should be given. My wife and I needed blood work done and the provider ordered it through Quest. Saturday was the best day to have this done. We fasted in the morning and needed our blood taken by 11 am due to the tests we needed. We arrived at this location at 9:45am and signed in at the kiosk. It came up on the monitor that we were walk-ins and that we had a 75 & 85 minute wait time. There were 6 people in front of us (2 had appointments) but no others in the waiting area. 20 minutes later the time didn't move and another couple came in. Their wait time was 95 minutes. We called our provider's MA and she tried calling Quest but no one answered. She got a hold of a supervisor that was out of town and supposedly the person manning this location had called out the night before and no one scheduled a replacement. I find this very unprofessional. The door to this location was unlocked which should be an indication that someone was there. I guess they just leave it open. In this day of technology these locations should be networked so someone should have gotten online and at least put a notice up on the monitor but even better a locked door with a notice. I lost 4 hours of my business time today (I'm a contractor) which equates to $300 and now I have to do this again on Monday. There is no excuse for this type of ineptitude. This is not the persons fault that was suppose to work today because they called out. This is poor management and/or scheduling. We walked out at 11:30 am and I'm sure there was other pissed off people that were in before and after us. read more

Horrendous experience at 1 of 2 Vancouver locations and in contacting Quest Customer Service on-line and by Telephone. Tried paying my bill, invoice, via the on-line payment service and also by telephone using unavailabe representatives with unbearabel long holds. On-line bill payment would never recognize my payment after several attemps of entering all information and clicking on the 'pay' link. No error indication, just returned me to the pay information screen. Tried contacting customer service via on-line and telphone with no success. My first Quest lab visit was at PeaceHealth Family Medicine clinic, 505 SE 87th Ave. Vancouver, WA where after a long wait (not busy!) 1 lab Tech couldn't succeed getting a blood sample from either of my arms and called a 2nd tech who took the sample from my hand (more painful). Second Quest Lab visit was at PeaceHeatlth Clinic on SE McGilvary which was uneventful. Good Blood Draw. Certainly not a fan of the switch from Peacehealth Labs to 'Quest' Diagnostics Labs!
