Worse customer service ever. I had an appointment at 10:30 for over a month, on my way to the clinic from the other side of town I received a notification that my appointment was canceled when I was just arriving early to my appointment. The person in reception told me I was wrong and there was nothing she could do. My appointment was setup by her initially and she said 10:30 and I wrote it down in front of her 6 weeks before. Worse customer service. Won't return here. I was no more than 15 minutes late if it was at 9:30. I drove over an hour and I explained this to the receptionist. Nothing matters to this person. I made an appointment this morning for a new issue and got an appt within a few hours. This was my first time at any ZoomCare. I saw the PA, Nicole. I was seen immediately at my appointment time. Nicole was amazing, listened to me and addressed all my concerns at the visit. I didn't catch the name of the girl at the front desk but they were both kind, efficient and friendly. My partner went in for an Illness/Injury visit today. Website says $165 for an uninsured visit. The front desk assistant decided the initial cost before any tests or treatments for an Illness/Injury visit would be $250. How can you just decide to charge more than what your website displays?? No "transparency" whatsoever. I've tried to visit this clinic before and they said they couldn't see me, once I had already arrived for my appointment, because I had an insurance they don't carry. I explained that they had an old insurance listed for me that is DEACTIVATED, and that I have Providence now which they carry. They STILL turned me away because their "system" wouldn't allow me to visit and they "can't update information." So y'all are dumb AND money hungry? Yikes. This isn't about the providers, the low rating is billing issues. The provider we saw was great but if you need any kind of documentation regarding billing, you are out of luck. You can't even get a breakdown of what your charges are for to submit to insurance/HSA/FSA/HRA plans. They just tell you what your estimated charges are but zero breakdown information. Since there is no billing statement, all you can do is take a screenshot of their online portal, showing a "receipt" of what was paid. But that won't actually do anything because what you pay does not match the insurance EOB so the HSA/FSA/HRA claims get denied. I would say that if you're paying cash/OOP for visits and the records are moot to you, it may be a good place but billing practices are way off normal here so you will struggle. read more

(Gosh I hope that's her name) Got to Zoomcare, and my insurance was verified by the time I walked in the door. (I entered everything when I made my online appointment) And now I'm sitting here waiting for the test to come back which I'm pretty sure will say I have strep. The staff is AMAZINGLY nice. I came in with abdominal pain. The new guy at the desk told me they needed to take a pregnancy test which I knew I didn't need and want going to pay $40. For one when I knew that wasn't the problem. The doctor saw me for maybe a total of 5 minutes, mostly just asking me questions, and then ended up telling me to just go to the e.r. or urgent care. They literally didn't help me at all. It was a waist of my time going there in the first place. And they charged me for the test I didn't even need. I almost called the manager the next day to demand a refund. Let me save you the time and hassle, unless you want to pay extra for cough medicine, don't go here. read more

Melissa Small, PA-C is everything you could want in a medical provider. She is attentive, friendly, a good communicator, and knowledgeable. Recently took myself and my 3 y.o. in to see her, and was so glad I did. The 3 y.o. particularly was totally disarmed - Melissa is a natural with kids. Over the past year, Melissa has also become my wife's preferred provider. The Zoom experience of in/out with meds in ~25 min was as smooth as always, but it's providers like her that really make the model work. read more

3.5 stars. Went to see Nicole Foster for PT over a few weeks time - she was great - educated, attentive, fixed the problem, etc... No issue with her - she gets a high rating. My issue is Zoom Care itself on two counts: 1. The "transparent pricing" is not so. I was never sure what I would be charged for the visits (I went multiple times). It was amazingly confusing - more so given that part of the Zoom Care philosophy is that the cost of medical care should not be hidden Trust me- in this case, it was. 2. This specific branch - the receptionists were professional enough, but not friendly at all. I also did not like that while waiting for my appointment, they'd casually say to another patient things like, "Okay, here's a cup for ypur urine sample.." That should be done privately! One of the PA's did the same thing. That lack of confidentiality is unacceptable and it happened more than once and with multiple clients. read more

Doc Andrew was very knowledgeable, professional and prompt. Listened well and was through. Diagnosis wasn't a surprise, drugs suggested and prescribed were available in house. Exam room was spotless and seemed well equipped. Got a flu shot to boot. Better experience than Kaiser in Denver, much quicker and more personal and no lines. I had planned on just walking in but I made an appointment because the reviews were good and I didn't want to wait too long because I was pain. I showed up 10 minutes early and there was one person already being seen with no one else waiting. I was told it would only be a few minutes. Turns out I waited around 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I was only seen for about 3 and half minutes before I was written a prescription and sent on my way. Tell me why I couldn't have been squeezed in while the other patient was waiting on lab results? I can't stand the fact that an office like this is the only place that can have you wait for so long after a scheduled appointment and demand you to pay full price. read more

I so wish I didn't have the chance to say that of ALL the times I have been to Zoom Care EVERY experience is good. Well, as good as it can be when either myself, husband or one of my two germ infested children have gone. The very first trip was when my daughter shoved my son off of a window seat and he fractured his wrist. That was his second birthday gift from his big sister. After that, I think we were regulars between colds and the flu. We would normally choose to see Melissa Small, if at all possible. Someone said she is a natural with kids. TOTALLY agree. She is INCREDIBLY kind, attentive and EVERY time I have been there she totally gives them great attention and care. Both of my kids feel totally at ease with her and I've got a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 1/2 year old. We have also seen Andrew Murison, who is also good with kids, but he isn't a natural like Melissa. But I have no complaints with him. The third PA we saw, I cannot remember his name but I will say that he was a 3 or 4 star out of 5. He seemed genuinely distracted and uncomfortable with me and my kids but he got us taken care of. I ALWAYS use the app or website to schedule and all but once we were seen on time. The front office staff is always sweet and friendly and they get you in and out. I honestly have never had such a GREAT experience with any urgent care. No wonder why Zoom Care won Best of Portland award for the BEST Urgent care. We love them and even though we have regular doctors now (we were using them for not having established PC physicians after moving from FL,) we will definitely be using this Zoom Care in a pinch. Especially grateful for Melissa. She is FABULOUS! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this location. First of all, it's open on Sundays. That's a huge plus -- not all of the locations are. Secondly, they take appts if you can call ahead but they also got to me as a walk-in pretty quickly. The staff here is amazing -- the lady at check-in was friendly and ran my insurance right away. She fully explained what was covered and my out-of-pocket costs up front. The PA who saw me, Melissa, was knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. She answered all of my questions and gave me options for treatment and also explained the costs/benefits. I needed a brace and crutches and Melissa helped wrap my foot and adjust the crutches to the correct height for me before I left. So thoughtful and kind! Note: they do not do imaging services at this location, so the staff referred me to a place that did and gave me all the information I needed to bring with me. Love that they can do it all right there- was able to leave with my prescription in hand, which saved me, with a 102 fever, from having to stop at the pharmacy and likely wait at least a half hour. I really appreciate this office. It is close to my home, they have friendly service and staff. They even have an X-ray machine. Super handy. As a bossy nurse I'm extremely impressed with the knowledgeable staff. They are talented providers. I trust them and have no hesitations in recommending them. My usual modus operandi is to be very suspicious so I'm not easy to impress. Lol. One tip, they might be cheaper than an ER visit but they are not offering cheap or free healthcare. If you are planning a visit make sure you have your insurance cards ready and plan on paying your portion of the copay immediately. read more

Terrible experience. I've had a severe respiratory infection for weeks but have had no time to go to the doctor, i walk in before i have to go to work as it is the only time i have off out of the week expecting to be seen soon but instead this guy who could not care less about what was happening to me who did not say hello or look at my face when asking me questions. He told me they only work by appointments and there wasn't one for hours. so much for "fast and easy" i tried going to urgent care but unfortunately good fast easy hospitals are out of my insurance network so i'm stuck with zoom care. Then the best part was that i had to put in my card number in that moment because they would charge me there and then for todays visit. I don't know about anyone else but if i'm going to zoom care instead of OHSU i obviously don't have the money to pay for radiographs there and then and would instead like to be billed to my house. Reception was absolutely terrible. Had never used Zoom Care before, needed urgent care on the weekend. At office, met by an unfriendly doctor who spent five minutes in appointment with almost no words. For five minute visit Zoom Care billed $300. Received an email with results which did not really confirm anything. After billing insurance company there was a balance which was paid with credit card (required to set up appointment) without courtesy warning. Very unprofessional. Life is too short to waste time or money on low quality service. read more

Still waiting for my x-ray results, 3 days later. I was a walk-in and waited for 45 minutes to see the Doctor, even though the place was empty. ". . . yep. . . could be broken". I had already been to the Epic Imaging for an x-ray, who insisted I have a note from a physician. Back to Epic Imaging with my piece of paper. "Will call with the results right away". Nobody could call and run down the results? I called several times. Seems like lack of concern and broken promises. Very disappointed. The big screen mounted on the wall behind the cash register display the names of the patients and their appointment times. On Day Three, I found my results at a different Zoom office after making a battery of phone calls. Three hours following the delivery to the correct office, I get the results, only after waiting for 15 minutes for a doctor, and then having to leave my office phone number. Actually --- never did get a call back from the doctor. Spent the rest of the day asking questions back and forth via e-mail. Five different times I was told "We will call you back", which never happened. Sad excuse for Medical Care. AND - I'm still walking around with a (finally confirmed) fractured toe, under a lot of pain. read more

so regret that I came to Zoomcare, should have waited until hospital office hours. The doctor I saw last week did two tests, neither of them got done correctly. First test got biased sample which I have told the doctor, but she said it should be fine; the second test the doctor ordered wrong imaging so I have to take time to make another imaging appointment. They only take insurance if you're insured; however, doctor visit price is even more than their cash doctor visit price. everything was so disappointing! read more

Zoomcare is garbage. I was misdiagnosed a few weeks ago and was sent home for just a "migraine" they did very minimal testing and it turns out I was bleeding internally. My bill for this misdiagnoses was over $100. I've been trying contact their problem solving team for weeks now, they won't respond to my emails or return my calls. I was so impressed with how efficiently Zoom+Care operated. I had taken a fall and injured my foot and I really didn't want to go to the ER. This location is right near my house and I was able to get looked at by a doctor and xrays were taken in less than an hour. Not to mention its way cheaper than what I would have paid had I gone to the ER. Melissa Small was the doctor and I wish I could remember the guy who did my xrays but they were both amazing! First, the staff here that I delt with was great. They were friendly and had a good attitude throughout every visit. And for general medical needs, Zoom+Care May be an awesome alternative to traditional medicine. Staff-5 Stars!! That said, I was there for PT after shoulder surgery. The PT made many comments that made me think she had never delt with a Rotator Repair before. But understanding that everyone starts somewhere I continued. She also showed my wife how to do a few basic things to help me progress at home. After a few weeks of going, every day being told "your doing great" all of a sudden I was told that zoomcare was not the right place for me. In that the 30min format was not enough time. Which seemed from out of no where. As everything was positive encouragement up to that point. My real complaints: It was incredibly frustrating that I paid for multiple visits over multiple weeks while they delt with an extremely common PT rehab and that it took so long for them to figure out that a 30 min appt was not adequate for my type of injury. Having never been to a PT, I didn't have anything to compare it to myself. The average visit consisted of 10min of admin and 20min of jiggling my arm. And now going to a different PT and seeing how they treat me. I almost feel like I was scammed out of my money as they waited until the last possible moment to not cause lasting injury by inaction. (A month later I am still behind the curve but fears of my shoulder freezing up are mostly gone) After talking to multiple PT's, my surgeon, and several other people who had this repair done and they all looking at me like I was insane, telling me that a 30min appt is nowhere near adequate to deal with a major injury like a rotator repair. Based on this, they Should have known that they were not the right place for me and said something in the first visit. We got there in the end but it cost me weeks of recovery and hundreds of dollars out of pocket, not to mention the Thousands of dollars to my insurance. The last minor thing- after every visit they would Email me an excersise regiment that I then had to either print out or try to follow from my phone or computer.
