Obscene wait time with scheduled appointment My husband scheduled his blood draw appointment for Saturday at 10. We arrive here promptly and find out people have been waiting since 8:30am! There is an 85 minute wait. No, thank you! Can you imagine all of these people, including my husband, had to fast for 12 hours and now have to increase their fasting time due to the lack of staff today?! Wow, I honestly can't believe how quickly I was in and out. The other reviews almost scared me off, and I'm so glad I chose this location anyways! Writing this in the parking lot now at 10:10, I walked in at 9:55 AM on a Friday, fully expecting to wait a few hours. The kiosk was easy to check in with, and I was offered a spot at 10AM with the option to wait in the lobby or go walk around until they were ready. I brought the book I've been meaning to read and didn't even get half a page in before they called me back. The gal working with me was super kind and friendly, and I actually felt super relaxed despite my medical anxiety. She answered all of my questions and got me in and out in minutes. I never leave reviews for anything, so I mean it when I say take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. All of the employees were very quick and kind, and it sounded like they worked well as a team to get people in and out. Do not come here without an appointment. Maybe do not come here at all? I cannot speak to the skills of the phlebotomist, only of the lack of ability to get people through in a reasonable amount of time. There were not appointments available, so I came in the morning hoping to be worked in within a reasonable amount of time as all I needed was a urine test for my employer (who only gave a two day window and this was the only day I had available within that). The parking is only for one hour, but the wait can be several (and then you can be told to leave without being able to complete any testing). I was top of the list of walk-ins, sat for hours with a full bladder, only to find they would not be able to do a one minute sample collection as they stop doing those tests at 12pm. This would have been a super easy thing to work in, but instead I was there for hours without getting anything. After wasting a morning here I was able to quickly be seen at an alternative location and wish I had never tried here. Thank goodness I didn't get a parking ticket as an added insult to a wasted morning. read more

Phlebotomist here told me though most insurances do not, my insurance covered blood test for Vitamin D levels. It was great to then receive a bill months later for almost $300 for the Vitamin D test and have neither Quest billing services nor my insurance listen to my argument. Wish they would take their time and provide patients with accurate information. read more

The woman with blonde hair (Brandy?) I believe is so sweet and efficient. I was told Monday and Fridays are their busiest days, and try to avoid coming for a walk-in during lunch hour. The best way to get in and out as soon as possible is by making an appointment. I wasn't able to make one in-time so I waited on a Friday morning for over an 1.5hr. They were moving as fast as they could, so I was patient and eventually got in. All in all, make an appointment! read more

Didn't make an appointment, made sure I got there right at opening at 7 am, put my name on the waitlist and got in at promptly at 7:30. Marianna was my phlebotomist and she was amazing! Blood draw didn't last more than 10 minutes and was in my car by 7:40. Will definitely come back to this location in the future. read more

This company is a complete joke. I needed a pre employment drug screening which shouldn't be complicated. Since I got the request for test late from my employer, I figured I would just be a walk in. I went in and after not being able to use the self check in kiosk managed to find a staff member to help. I was told this location doesn't accept walk ins usually do to such limited staffing and for drug testing. I came back a different day after making an online appointment and when I finally, over an hour past my scheduled time, got called in, was told that the system must have made an error when I was making the appointment online because this location doesn't do drug testing after 12. Honestly just save yourself the time and effort and go to any place else u less you like wasting your time and being in a small confined room with no staff to help you. read more

Wish I would have known a couple things before coming. My employer needed a drug screen so I got an email about going to this Quest location by a certain date. They didn't really say to make an appointment in my email, or rather they did, but they buried it under a big blurb about COVID and calling to confirm service availability. **BUT YOU DEF NEED TO MAKE AN APPT, THIS LOCATION IS INSANELY BUSY**. Here's the Quest Call Ctr number I eventually found: 1-800-877-7484 I called this number after calling the number they have on the TV in the lobby for "if you came without an appt" - don't call that # it's literally a scam number phishing for old ppl with "congrats, free medical device!" I called this number after trying to schedule an appointment online on my phone in their lobby- no luck on the mobile site. I called this number after rereading my email a bunch of times and already having waited at this location more than an hour, only to be told there was no way they were gonna get to any walk ins today. Literally standing room only in the wait room. And they have a ridiculous system where it's a robot that checks you in- you have no access to anyone for help, except when they pop their head out to call the next patient. So call that # above first or find some other way to make your appointment in advance. In 2024, walk ins seem impossible here. read more

Went there again in March for pre-employment screening. Checkin and everything was fine. But, when they called me in, they couldn't do the test because their own system's problem. Instead of solving the problem, they asked me to go out and contact my employer for solution. What?! I did, and it was all legit but somehow this location can't perform the tests. And the technician was not very friendly. I get it, he's busy, but I and my employer also paid and made appointments ahead of time to get the service. They failed to deliver. And offered bad on site service. I wasted two hours going there, waiting, and going back home. All without getting my screening done. So upsetting. In the end, my employer decided to make a business account with Providence and made me go there instead to avoid this company. Bad luck for this business when they can't care for their clients. read more

This review is for the greater Portland area, but likely applies to all of Quest. First, the phlebotomists are good: they try. The company does not appear to try to do the obvious to serve patients well. First, take a hard copy doctor's order; they often do not have the order sent by the doctor in their system, and have 10 minutes for your visit. If you have the order, they will take the time to enter it. I helped to figure out what my doctor had ordered by looking up the apparent term on my smart phone, or I would have had to get another order with clearer handwriting and return a second time because of Quest glitches. This day, my appointment took almost an hour. Rescheduling and returning because of Quest's various glitches is not unusual. My test results are essential (in this case) for some life changing decisions. The time waiting to get my lab results is being dragged out because I had to reschedule because of Quest glitches. A different time, I arrived with the appointment confirmation code. The lab (inside a store) denied having any appointment. Another patient there at the same time had the same problem. I was referred to go to another Quest and did so. They also could not draw my blood: my test could only be done at Quest in Vancouver: they have dry ice needed for this test. I scheduled in Vancouver. Staff were more stressed and less pleasant. Wasted time that day with Quest glitches in misinformation was round 90 minutes. read more

Appointment or walk-in, the male manager working here gives a no craps. He/they was vocally impatient with a waiting room full of patients. 4 walk-in's have been waiting since 7:10am - with no calls or glances in our direction. When asked about the wait time a rude answer was provided well-over necessary volume about being the only person working -though there are 3 workers. The unprofessional level of attitude caused one waiting patient to just leave. The status computer in the waiting room isn't being used, so all we see is a TV with 0 patients being served. The AC is on so high, if you're coming - bring a blanket and a book! I've been waiting 2 hours. Don't come w/o an appointment !! read more

Overall good experience..I did not run into the same issues as others. I came in as a walk in for my employment drug screen and I only waited about 15 mins. A couple things you should know.. Drug testing window closes at 12pm. And going around the lunch hour could cause delays as the staff rotates for lunches. I've never scheduled an appt because I've always had trouble working their scheduling system. Always prepare to wait for at least an hour. read more

Horrible experience dealing with this lab. My doctor faxed order twice. Of course there is no way of talking to anyone. You have to make an appointment. I did this yesterday only to find out they did not have the order. Called doctor who faxed again. This morning I made another appointment. Showed up for my appointment and they had neither my lab order or a record of my appointment. Absolutely worthless company to deal with and will never use them. The only redeeming aspect was the poor woman working the second day I wasted my afternoon was very apologetic and essentially agreed that the systems they have are complete garbage. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I made an appointment for 12:20 and had to wait almost an hour to even have someone talk to me. When they did they told me that the only person who was able to perform my test was on lunch and I would have to wait longer. The waiting room was full of people who had either had to come back due to not being able to see a previous day, or with people who had been waiting for obscenely long periods of time. The whole time we're waiting the tv plays ads on loop talking about how quick and easy it is to get lab work done here. Do NOT come to this location. I wish I could give a zero! This was the worst experience I have ever had with 1) a lab, 2) a diagnostic company. 1)They completely messed up my lab orders missing at least 10 tests that were not only faxed to them but I had paper copies to make sure they got it right- they didn't. 2) They double ordered one test and then claimed they could not cancel the billing for it and that I had to call customer service, or they gave me the phone number to their "local" supervisor 3) Their local supervisor never called me back 4) Their customer service phone number will send you on a wild goose chase to simply cancel a test that they mistakenly ordered and yet are charging me for. Each time they will give you a phone number for "a person that can help" only to have it route back to customer service and another person that cannot assist you in anyway nor offers to. I asked a question in a very large medical group (in the 1000s) about their experience with Quest and it was a resounding thumbs down. If you have the unlimited time to correct their mistakes only to find out they will not help you to correct them- then have at it. If you disregard the predominant opinion about Quest and choose them anyway, all I can say is, God be with you..... read more

I know the other reviews of this place are terrible and I was nervous to come back to quest since my dr office stopped offering these services but Robert was great! He was so gentle, I hardly felt the needle go in and I was really comfortable. It was over fast and he was friendly. Everything was clean. I only had to wait about 7 mins after my appt time. About 1.5 hours into waiting I was told that there was no one to help preform a urine test and I would need to continue to wait. ALSO they forgot to give me back my ID. Horrible! Checked in 10 minutes early for my 11:00 am appointment. Room was full. 6 people in front of me all waiting more than an hour. I've now been here well over an hour and there are still 3 people in front of me. I understand that sh*t happens but according to all the negative reviews (which I wish I had read before booking this location), this seems to be the norm. You may even be publicly embarrassed by staff in front of a full waiting room, as I witnessed happen to two people who were politely asking questions that were apparently deemed too stupid to be answered respectfully but were perfectly reasonable questions to have asked. Once you are called back to do your lab thing, you'll be lucky if the person 'helping' you even looks you in your face one single time. First this place is ridiculous to find, in the back of the westerly. They have a monopoly and don't need to provide service like explicit directions. There is no social distancing in the lobby . Quest Diagnostics is a respected international lab used by hospital and physicians. But their customer service in person, online and by phone is unacceptable. They are all designed to discourage customers from the get go. I stopped by is location. They had a well filled waiting room. Then they announced suddenly they were stopping service for the day. They gave the customers a list of alternate locations. They all proved completely incorrect for the tests ordered on their own paperwork. The online system is not able to find locations for specific tests, nor is the phone. There is no way to determine if a location can bill to the paperwork account or send the results ordered. The front line med techs there are fine, giving them back a star. It's a management and upper management problem. They do have a supply of free parking which is otherwise tough in this neighborhood I've used Any Lab Test before with fine customer service. They use Quest for the actual analysis. If you can use another company to insulate yourself from Quest's bad customer service, I'd recommend it. read more

Awful as the ratings suggest, at least customer service-wise. Cannot get a hold of a human being unless walking into a clinic where the human beings are not much help either! Could not select the appropriate test/s online, could not get through to anyone on the phone to assist. Physically went to a clinic to get help, waited for 5 minutes before being acknowledged then was rudely told I could only book online. When I mentioned I had tried was (rudely) told I would have to wait 15-20 minutes just to have my question answered.
