Labcorp is in suite 202 upstairs

Normally, walking in to a Labcorp without an appointment results in a long wait. I had just seen my doctor a few miles from this location who ordered some blood work so I thought I'd roll the dice and stop by on the way home since they were closing in 10 minutes. I got lucky and there were zero patients waiting. I did a self check-in on the kiosk which only took a few minutes and handed the receptionist my requisition form. I was called back a few minutes later and was on my way in under ten minutes total after drawing two vials of blood. Both the receptionist and phlebotomist were very friendly. Another patient came in a minute after 4pm and was told they are closed so if you come late in the day, make sure you arrive at least a few minutes before they close. They are located in suite 202 right at the top of the stairs. I have not been to this location in quite a while and it seems like have they cleaned it up since the last time I was here. It is a pretty small location, maybe a dozen seats total inside to wait, so if they are busy expect to wait outside. I got lucky with no wait on a walk-in, but I always highly recommend making an appointment to save time.

Completely different experience than in years past. No lines, courteous staff, and helpful when you have stubborn veins.

I'm very sad I didn't catch his name because he was amazing but he made it so quick and PAINLESS.

Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

I called and when they answered the phone, I quickly made an appointment without any issue. I was lucky enough get something that same day. When I did arrive, 20 minutes earlier than my appointment, as they suggested, and many doctor offices suggest that so there is time to fill out the paperwork, I was almost immediately seen once I completed everything. Also, my CT scan only took a few minutes after that. I'm giving it 1 less star because the front desk lady who took my information seemed a bit disorganized and confused. Nothing horrible, but she seemed like she wasn't very organized. Also, this place really caters to Asians since it seemed like almost all of their staff was of Asian descent. Despite that, I would definitely go here again if I needed something.

I went last week with an authorization for and MRI with and without contrast as well as an X-ray. The lady who took my paperwork asked me if I wanted to get everything done that day. I said yes. The next thing I know, they take me to get the MRI done. When I come out of the room and ask about the x-ray, the receptionist tells me 'we don't have an authorization for an x-ray and we can't do it because you have contrast dye still in your system' I don't know whether or not that's true, but regardless. What's going on in that office that they misplace paperwork and can't even tell you ahead of time that they best thing to do would be to get the x-rays done FIRST?!‍
