When I tried to explain that their system wouldn't accept my second insurance and asked a few questions, the front desk staff kept telling me to sit down instead of assisting. I asked if they could call Labcorp Gambrills or my doctor to confirm a second order, but the receptionist refused. When I asked for the fax number so my doctor could send the order, she said she didn't have it, only to later reveal it was sitting right next to her on a paper labeled for public use. That level of disregard and lack of communication was disappointing and unnecessary. When it was finally my turn, I tried to clarify instructions because I have a concussion. Instead of listening or showing understanding, one of the staff members told me to "just listen" and spoke down to me, not just like I was a child, but like I was her own child she was trying to scold and discipline. When I said I wasn't feeling well and needed to end the conversation, she told me to "look for the common element," implying I was the issue. It was not only disrespectful but also deeply unprofessional. She later called me back after checking with the doctor and offered what felt like a scripted, business-style apology. By then, I had already decided I would not return. Even if my life depended on it, I would rather skip the blood draw than tolerate that kind of treatment again. To make matters worse, when I called Labcorp customer service to report what happened, the representative was also dismissive, rude, and talked over me. They did nothing to help, except make me wait a long time on the phone, to come back and yell some talk then hang up on me. It's sad that in a developed country, patients can be treated this way by people who are supposed to care for their well-being. As someone with experience in business consulting and professional development, I truly believe this location could benefit from training focused on empathy, communication, and customer care additionally to establishing better processes. I would be happy to help Labcorp enhance its customer experience and staff professionalism, and I invite the owner or management to reach out if they're open to making meaningful improvements. A PATIENT AND CONSULTANT

Seemed like a good idea at the time. First, this is definitely one of the newer and nicer Labcorp facilities I've visited. It's clean, bright, and updated. Now...let's talk about that parking lot. Parking is TRASH. If you come during a busy time, be prepared to circle around or wait for a space. The biggest issue was the wait. I walked in knowing full well that scheduled appointments would be seen before me. That's completely fair. What confused me was watching other walk-in patients who arrived after me get called first. At one point, I was monitoring the screen and noticed my name disappeared altogether. I was supposed to be next...or so I thought. Nope. To be fair, it looked like they were very short-staffed, and it was around lunchtime, so employees were taking turns on break. I understand that. Eventually, I brought my concern to the receptionist. She moved a little like molasses, but once I explained what happened, she got everything straightened out and I was finally called back. The phlebotomist who drew my blood was kind and professional. She looked incredibly busy and honestly seemed like she was carrying a lot of the workload that day. I warned her that I'm a "hard stick", but she found my vein on the first try and completed the blood draw with very little bruising or bleeding. Mission accomplished! I definitely appreciated her skill because that's not always the case for me. Would I return? Probably not. My regular Labcorp location has multiple phlebotomists, and I'm usually in and out with little to no wait. This visit reminded me why I normally stick with what's familiar. The only reason I came here was because it was convenient while I was already in the area. Not a terrible experience, just one that could have been much smoother.

I was able to make an appointment online within the hour. Upon arrival, it was pretty much empty inside. The waiting room is clean and welcoming. I saw others complain about a receptionist; however, the woman that I encountered was polite and direct. My wait was about 20 minutes before I went back. Once back I saw a nurse immediately and was tested for all the things. About 15 minutes later I saw the NP. She was kind and answered all the questions that I had. I even left out, realized I had a question went back and she still made time for me. My prescriptions were placed and I was able to pick them up within the hour from my local pharmacy. Although, I generally try to avoid urgent cares, I know I'll be in good hands here.

She repeatedly referred us back to the site and kiosk with the most disregard. Not listening to my issue with the site, continuously cut me off and told me to go back on the site. Only after I asked for her name, did she make an attempt to answer. Mind you there were zero other patients to serve in the waiting room. Just my son. As a Practice Manager, I would never hire let alone have a person with such lack of empathy and customer service sit at the front and be the first impression of my business. No one wants to be in urgent care on a Sunday. Have some compassion and at least act like you give a care when patients are standing directly in front of you. I had to ask multiple times what she said since she was talking in her chest. Never looked up. Her phone was more important than taking 2 mins to guide a patient entering your establishment. This place needs to be mindful of who they hire! A co worker came in (Monique). Nadine looked at us and whispered something to her. At that moment, Monique attempted to explain the site and process. I'm guessing she was to assist with customer service recovery. Poor customer service. Disgusted with this interaction. In the back, prompt care and out the door. Fix the front staff immediately if you care to stay in business.

I was the only one in the waiting room. About 10 minutes after I arrived, a few employees walked in. This is interesting, as the facility starts walk-in hours at 9:00am (opening time). So now, I've already waited 10 minutes and the remaining staff are just arriving. After waiting 20 minutes (again, I'm the first arrival) I inquired about the wait. The receptionist went to find out and came back informing me it would be a bit longer. Are you kidding me??? How unprofessional- if you advertise walk-in hours from 9-4pm, then your employees should be on site and ready to start work at that time. This office does not seem to be well managed, as I experienced issues my first visit. I decided to give them another chance since I like to support businesses in my neighborhood but I will never use this imaging center again. The lack of respect for patients' time, lateness by employees, and obvious lack of effective management is disappointing. Patients deserve better.
