Update: I had my blood drawn for a third time here. It was a good experience today. The place was packed but I got in 15 min after my appt time so that wasn't too bad. Unfortunately last week I had a draw that ended badly. There was a lot of pain from the draw site and I asked her to stop. I'm not sure what she did but it's been a week and I'm unable to fully extend my right arm without sharp pain from my inner elbow to my wrist. There's no bruising but the pain and weakness are significant. The other Kendall location seems to have more competent phlebotomists but the wait is too long for someone who's hypoglycemic in the morning. I made an appointment for 2pm and the place was deserted. I was able to get in and out in 10 minutes. I drove right by it as the sign is almost the same color as the exterior paint so it blends in. Park by subway and you'll be good, it's right next to subway facing Bird Rd. The staff was friendly and polite. The check in tablets weren't working but it wasn't a big deal. I'm taking off a star because I have a hematoma the size of a blueberry on my arm today and it's gross and sore. Also the same color as a blueberry, ugh. Today around 1:30 pm this afternoon I arrived at the Lab Corp which is located at 14713 sw 42nd st suite 101 Miami FI 33185 to do an analysis that my doctor ordered me. But when I arrive at this office, Mr. Ricardo Martinez, an employee of this office, says that he can't attend to me because he doesn't have enough workers who can't take more customers without an appointment. Walked in at 2pm on a Friday and this facility was completely deserted. OMG! My lucky day! I was the only soul in there :D This place should be a madhouse but that's only true in the mornings, which are their peak hours especially for those who are fasting. Sucks to be you! :-P Note: Tried to make an appointment online but it was all booked yet I walk-in and it's completely empty...? :-/ The front desk gentleman was very nice, curteous and professional. Took my insurance card, sat down for about 2 minutes and was quickly called in by the phlebotomist. She was sweet and personable. Makes getting my blood taken out a little less unnerving. I was in and out of that building in 10 minutes to say the least. YES!!! This location not only smells nice but is also very clean! Although the waiting area chairs can use a little Clorox wiping, the chairs are starting to look black instead of beige. Those might be permanent stains and wear & tear from all those Ñooo!!! HUGE TIP:Labcorp is next to subway but on the side that faces 40th st(bird road) I was kind of confused as to where it was. To start the location has free WiFi. WOOOOOO. they also have a small coffee station, water dispenser, and a tv in the waiting room. Everywhere you go there's going to be a wait time just like a doctors office. The staff was super kind and they explain all the papers you sign as you're signing it. Also the test you're going to do is explained to you once you go into the room so no surprises. I for one don't like surprises at places like this. This is m first visit here and my appointment was at 12:45 and I was seen maybe 15 minutes or so after which isn't bad because there's been places that I've waited almost an hour or so. I live in Hialeah and have 2 Lab Corps by me, but the reviews made me want to come here. The guy @ the front desk isn't really friendly, I asked for the price and he wasn't specific with me. The short nurse drew my blood quicker than anyone and was gentle but again, not really friendly. I was seen quick and I drove 30 min away from home thinking it'd be a better experience. Not bashing on cubans but in South/West Miami it's full of cubans. It feels like if you're not cuban you don't get welcomed by them. I just noticed that, strongly, on this visit. read more

Today was my second visit to this locations. First visit was walk in during morning. That was chaotic but they still took care of me. Wait time for that visit was about 40 minutes, again, walk in. Today, the visit went VERY well. I had an appointment, checked in with desk, got called in, in less than 5 minutes. I was in and out very quickly. Both times I was treated very nicely by the people collecting my blood. They work quickly as they have patients back to back, but they do everything well and correctly. I recommend this location, specially if you go in with an appointment. Note: if you are having tests that **don't** require you to be on empty stomach, then book for the afternoon. There is always more people in the AM, as most tests need to be done on empty stomach. read more

When I first came in I tried to ask the front desk a question to see if I was at the right LabCorp and basically interrupted me while I was trying to ask a question and asked me to sit down. Face it, this is your typical Vampire place. Thing is, you willingly (or not) walk in there to get your blood sucked out of you. I always have to fast before going so it doesn't help matters that I have to smell the deliciousness of bread baking at the Subway's next door. If you make an appointment, you may be lucky and not have to wait long. Otherwise, prepare yourself. Bring a book. Maybe War & Peace. You will likely have entertainment as well because folks will get on their phone and talk loudly. But heck, we're in the MIA. Land of no manners whatsoever. Yesterday I took my daughter to do a routine analysis, how she was fasting, I notify the girl and she tells me, in a while they called me, to the minutes I get up and ask her because I noticed that people who had arrived after of me, I remind her that my daughter is fasting, unfortunately she answered me very badly, so how can there be people attending to the public with that kind of attitude, is very wrong, just for asking a question? I went for lab work with my mom, who also needed bloodwork. Front desk young man is Awesome! If it weren't for him, they wouldn't receive a rating. He is very helpful with those that are not savvy with the computerized self check in. Didn't see the Phlebotomist was her hands, only put gloves. I noticed the sink in the room she put me in was full of computerized patient labels, not empty so she could was her hands in. But since hand sanitizers are effective, didn't think it about it much until I tried to use the wall sanitizer myself, and it's empty! Now it was my moms turn. She left with my bloodwork to another room where the specimens are dropped of and she came back to us. She put gloves but I did Not see her wash her hands. I told her my Mom's veins require that she use a butterfly needle and she said "ok", but I didn't see her put one in the small basket of supplies about to be used, so I mentioned it again and that's when she fetched up and admitted they didn't have any. A bit hard to find, but this LabCorp is beside a Subway. Making an appointment online was easy. Reception was friendly and easy - no problems with my insurance, doctor's orders, or appointment time. I was a bit annoyed that I didn't get in right at 1 PM because there were walk-ins but they were so fast that it worked out in the end. Blood draw was painless and quick - the tech was fantastic. Had an appointment and had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. People without an appointment were seen first. The older woman in the front was incredibly rude, sarcastic and lacked professionalism. It was a shame to see her speak the way she did, especially to elderly patients. If she's so miserable at her job she needs to go elsewhere. The younger woman with the curly hair also lacked professionalism. Such a shame that at a medical office there is individuals with these traits. Not to mention several patients complained and even left due to the way they were treated. The technician who did my exams was the only one in this location with any kind of work ethic. Definitely do not recommend this location. It's an embarrassment for LabCorp to have an office with employees like this. read more

I had an appointment to get blood drawn last week on Friday June 29 around mid afternoon. To sum things up, I had a horrible experience. The phlebotomist who performed the blood draw did not seem experienced and she was very rough during the whole procedure. The whole process seemed rushed. I think she might have inserted the needle too deeply or maybe it was the angle of insertion that was off. It has been about 4 days since I had the blood work done and my arm is severely bruised and looks blue/green. Also, I have a loss of mobility in my arm. Hopefully the bruising dissipates but I am very concerned that the techs who work at this lab corp are poorly trained. read more

This place is terrible. You have to wait even with an appointment. They were sending patients to another location because they ran out of a test kit. Waited over 30 mins even with an appointment. At Quest you never have to wait if you have an appointment even if the place is full. read more
