I HATE having blood drawn.. I mean, I don't know anyone who actually likes it, but even as a heavily tattooed person I get super nervous and even feel nauseous afterwards. I also typically expect to be at the doctors office for several hours for bloodwork. This Quest location made it super stress free and easy. I checked in while I was in my car and was seen within maybe 2 minutes. Monica was my phlebotomist, and I always tell any professional that I get nauseous when having blood drawn just in case. Monica was super understanding and professional, and the process was over very quickly. Her friendly demeanor made me feel very comfortable. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. No stress, no pain, no nausea! If I ever need any more blood work, I'll ask my doctor to send me here. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this Quest Diagnostics location during a pre-employment drug screening. The lab technician who attended me was extremely rude, impatient, and unprofessional from the moment I arrived. While I understand that a physical ID is required, the way he communicated this was unnecessarily hostile and dismissive. When I returned with my ID, he abruptly asked me for a barcode without any explanation. When I said I didn't know what he meant, he became visibly irritated, took my phone and started going through my email himself... Then he steps out speaking negatively in Spanish, apparently assuming I wouldn't understand. That behavior was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. When it was time to do the urine test, I wasn't able to pee the EXACT amount of mL of urine he needed and proceeded to tell me that its not enough very rudely again and dumps it all out in the toilet...mind you he is doing all this with the bathroom door open and there are other patients looking in and other employees just staring. At this point I have already been in there for an hour going back and forth with this man. He tells me drink water and wait until i have to pee again, what he wasn't understanding is that I made this appointment at a specific time because I had another appointment to get to, so unfortunately I had to leave and he "invalidated" my test due to refusal??? I did not refuse to take the test, it was just not enough pee for him He also was not wearing a name badge like the other employees, so I was unable to identify him afterward. Lastly, I observed him repeatedly lifting his lab coat sleeve to look at what appeared to be a tattoo with his computer login information while trying to access the system, which did not inspire confidence and it makes you question the type of people working here Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism, and I hope management addresses these issues. read more

I highly recommend making a reservation online, to avoid a long wait inside the crowded lobby. On my last visit all 25 or so seats were filled and a bunch of people were standing there. Their check in process is pretty good. A few hours before my check in time, I received a text message and I followed the link to virtually check in. If you are inside the lobby there is a big screen, displaying your position in the queue. It goes by appointment time rather than check in time, so if you arrive way early, all you see is people arriving after you but with an earlier appointment being slotted ahead of you. Therefore, there's no point in arriving much earlier than the appointed time. The screen also tells you how many clients they are seeing at the moment and how many people have checked in. Then, when I am near the top of the line, I receive another message telling me to get into the lobby (should I be waiting in the car or elsewhere nearby) to be ready when they call my name. A lot of transparency there instead of just sitting and waiting with no clue when your turn is. So... the reason for the two stars: my arm was all bruised up after the drawing of blood. It was a bit greenish and bruised immediately after, and then by the next day this big bruise developed. Definitely the worse blood test I ever had!! read more

The experience began with making an appointment online. I immediately received an email confirmation with a QR code to scan at check-in and telling me to arrive 10 minutes before my appointment time and if I was more than 10 minutes late, my appointment would be cancelled. On past visits, I received a text message asking me to check in from the car. Not this time, so I had to stand in a line of more than 10 people waiting on two kiosks with no staff to help. As soon as an old person approached a kiosk, confused by the technology, that position would be tied up for more than ten minutes. Scanning the QR code in my email did not work, and I was given the option to join the walk-in line. Keying in the six character code in the email found my reservation. This process took about 18 minutes. Another two and my appointment would have been cancelled ? I sat down to wait. An extremely rude bald/bearded employee came into the waiting area and started barking at anyone that considered talking to him. He waved his clipboard and announced that he had more than 50 people, clearly implying that nobody should consider themself special. The elderly woman who had been confused by the kiosk tried to approach him. He barked at her to "Sit down and wait your turn" and his tone and facial expression implied "and shut up". The woman in her eighties was now in tears and most people in the room were shocked by his behavior. He has no business being in a customer contact position and would probably be happier taking out his frustrations on a mop and bucket. A young lady jumped up to help and protect the elderly woman. I commented on my customer service experience to the phlebotomist. He shrugged and justified their performance by assuring me that all their competitors were worse. I left with the clear impression that no one associated with this business has any concept of customer service. In fact, I don't believe that they perceive the people walking through the door as paying customers. read more

Difficult to schedule a convenient appointment date/time due to lack of available slots. Arrived prior to appointment time and waited 30 minutes after scheduled time. Too many people jammed into waiting area, some visibly sick. To be avoided. And whats with the positive reviews saying they will ask for a specific tech - Not a chance of talking to anyone, much less requesting a specific lab tech. An impressive, fully automated medical assembly line - But why pack in so many people that can not be processed in a timely manner? read more

I want to thank Giselle. She was one of the best people who has treated me in all the times I have gone to have my blood drawn at Quest Diagnostic. Located at 3401 S Congress Ave, Ste 107 in Palm Springs, I went there for the first time because I always go to the one on Lakeworth Rd., and she made my experience a good one. She is a kind, professional, helpful person with an expert hand at taking my vein the first time. While her supervisor was observing her work and telling her to move forward, she maintained her professionalism and her delicacy to draw my blood and I don't know how she did it because her supervisor had me nervous with her harassment and bad mood, which is what I see very often at the Lakeworth quest, that's why I decided to try another to see if my experience would be better and it was thanks to this girl Giselle but definitely not to her two supervisors and I know that they are supervisors because the harassment was so great that I couldn't contain myself and I asked her permission who those two women are, I know that this happens a lot at Quest Diagnostic, I hope someone does something to change this and they use as an example the professional and loving treatment of this girl Giselle who unfortunately I can't say her last name because I don't know her, it's the first time she sees me and I was so satisfied with her that I had to ask her her name. In trying to keep costs down, none of the Quests have anyone working at any of the locations to discus payments and insurance information. They have left this job up to the lab technicians, and this should not be their responsibility. They told my husband that he had to pay $250 when in fact we have no copay for labs with our insurance. Trying to speak to anyone at Quest is impossible. After over an hour of trying to figure out how to speak to someone that could help, I was told that they don't actually charge anything and that it was more of placing a card on file, just in case. Well that's not what he was told and he had to leave. Walk ins take several hours if they even take you, since sometimes they already have too many. Usually things are fine, but this was a disaster. I tried calling the number they have online for issues and concerns and its the regular automated number that no one picks up unless you say that it's to pay a bill. This leads me to believe there really is no customer service agents working for them. read more

Since the last time I was here a few years ago, the place has had a major makeover and looks AMAZING now! My biggest peeve the last time I was here was the appearance of the facility, but they did a lovely job renovating the space. It felt very clean and modern. Gone is the tiny bathroom where I was forced to have my face in the garbage can while I went. Nice, clean, well sized restroom in its place. Special mention for Ana Alonso, the nurse who took care of me. Such a sweet, kind person. She was gentle and patient with me about my needle phobia and used the butterfly needle I requested with no issue. The greeter was also very polite and check in was a breeze. I just scanned my bar code at the kiosk and that was it. They also called me in by only my first name this time, which I was pleased with. My privacy felt like it was considered. Came to get some testing done. This is the closest location to my house so I almost always come here when I can. This particular time I got held up at work and had to rush over. I arrived a couple of minutes late and was told they had to double check if they could still see me. My lab tech was kety G. Kety was very kind and understanding, even let me go retrieve some documents I forgot in the car even though I was already running pretty late. I was really grateful for her patience as I know everyone at quest has been overworked lately considering covid. As I left almost everyone was kind with exception of one woman with black hair who as I said good bye to decided to roll her eyes and shake her head at me. I thought that was totally uncalled for because I would've had no problem rescheduling had it been such a bother. Anyways I hope I don't get her as a lab tech any time soon. read more

In and out in less than 12 minutes! That's one of the things I liked the most in here. The service I got from the front desk lady was great too, she explained to me how things work when she asked me for my credit card. They will not charge me unless​ my insurance doesn't​t pay. I liked the appointment​ email reminders​ and the​ follow​-up​p emails too. That's the type of service I like nowadays. But...I didn't like how I was treated, the lady that took my blod test wasn't the sweetest, and I felt like she didnt' want to work, plus it hurt a little bit when she did it. Had to do annual lab testing and so with my insurance to Quest I went. I had to fast so I wanted to go as early and possibly without effecting my work schedule. I was given a list of different Quests that were close to home and my job and was happy to see they are open by 6:30 am. Pulled up early in the morning with parking right in the front. Once inside I was advised to check in electronically on the tablets. There is so much seating and a TV to keep you occupied while you wait. It was when they first opened so there was only two other people inside waiting. By the time I sat down and pulled out my make up bag they were already calling my name...eyebrows had to be done another time. Carmen, my lab technician, sat me down and drew my blood so quickly and painlessly I forgot I was getting my blood drawn. Whole process was quick and painless. I was advised to call my PCP for results in 2 days. I walked out of there ready to grab some coffee and even made it in to work on time! We totally had a positive experience. I took my 14 year old and my 10 year old in for blood draws. We arrived on a Wednesday morning at 7 am and we were out by 7:30 am. Both my children are "hard sticks" but we had Ana as our phlebotomist and she was very professional. She was very considerate about dealing with children, she was sweet and kind and she managed to get all their blood with only one stick each. I was very impressed. The lab was very clean. The overall lighting was appropriate and there was ample parking outside. Ana was dressed appropriately and she maintained Universal Precautions the entire time and she identified both my children by name and date of birth. When I asked if there was anything they could do she didn't even help me reschedule an appointment she just told me she was closing and had four appointments in front of me. I waited until they closed only one person walked in since I had walked in. I didn't need an accommodation however a little more help and sympathy would have been appreciated.
