Unfortunately, both of my kids have had to visit OrthoNow. The older one fractured his fingers a few years ago, and most recently our 4 year old fractured his toe. Getting an appointment was easy, and the wait was not long at all. The doctors and staff delivered quality care, and I left feeling at ease with the treatment plan. So I'm at the age (50 shhhh) where unfortunately doctor appointments become a part of life. Being active, thankfully, those appointments have been only sports injury related such as a tennis elbow from some weight lifting mishap. Thus I found my way to OrthoNow. I picked the Doral location because it's close to work. Having recently started at a new position and being in my probationary period, I had to deal with a super basic insurance before my employer's policy kicks in. Karla, the office manager, was really helpful in calling and dealing with the company thus saving me that "headache". After previous home & alternative remedies weren't working, I called this office. It's located in a Doral office building and next to another orthopedic practice. From what I understand, the other office is OrthoNow's "home base" where I would go if my condition doesn't ger better. It's also where OrthoNow does their imaging. When I visited, Melissa who does double duty as an xray tech & medical assistant, took my vitals and took me downstairs for xrays. After the x-rays, I was checked out by William the nurse practitioner, who reviewed and said that basically I have tennis elbow, so I have to take it easy for at least a little bit on the weights. read more

I had a great experience the first time I visited. Unfortunately, the second time I visited, not only was there a ridiculously long wait time for my scheduled appointment, but the receptionist was extremely condescending. After patiently waiting 45 minutes to be seen for my scheduled appointment time, I approached the receptionist to ask how much longer the wait would be because I had another appointment to go to. She told me that she didn't know and that I had to wait my turn because everyone else there was dealing with something too and had other things to attend to after the appointment just like myself. She was condescending towards me but whenever my mom spoke with her, she was polite. I just asked a simple question and was met with impoliteness for no apparent reason. I don't think someone who lacks customer service skills should be sitting front desk dealing with customers. read more

I suffered a really scary and frustrating low back flare up that I haven't felt in years and when I needed help in getting some more answers about what was going on so I could have a better understanding of how to heal, Karla, Marissa, & Lauren greeted me as I walked in worried and with no appointment and they calmy assured I'd be taken care of. That's when Daniel saw me and gave me a ton of assurance on a road to relief and recovery and helped me alleviate my symptoms with the right medicine modifications and peace of mind gained from having someone knowledgeable who cared take a closer look. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a Ray of sunshine, Jessica, which is hands down the best receptionist ever. Always smiling. Always chatting. Fast and efficient. I arrived at 10 am. They're lobby was less than 20% full, yet it took them 1 hour and 20 minutes to call me into the exam room. Then I waited ANOTHER 1 hour and 20 minutes. At this point I left the exam room, asked the receptionist what was taking so long and her response was that the Dr. was reviewing my x rays. The Dr. never came into the exam room to see me. Injured my knee on Thursday. It got worse and got up early Saturday and traveled 45 minutes to this Doral location - the only one open on Saturday. I used their app at 9:19 am to tell them I was on the way. After my husband overheard them after waiting 40 minutes they admitted that they had no medical provider on site. Their phone calls went unanswered by their medical staff. There was an excuse provided about administrative issues and mix ups, etc. They offered to take my medical information and take X-rays but no one could give me any results or provide any treatment until Monday. So I would sit through all this diagnostic procedure without getting a diagnosis because no one is there to read the results. How can you advertise opening times and then not be staffed to take care of people. You advertise as an alternative to the ER but it's not an actual alternative without medical professionals and the ability to diagnose and treat someone. I also said that I should've gone to the pinecrest location the day before and they said it was closed yesterday for an owners meeting. So if I had gone there I couldn't have gotten any medical care either. This is not a true urgent care center. This is a regular doctors office with X-ray machines and later hours. An urgent care center is open for business and treatment during their posted hours. Not half ass because no one wanted to work on a Saturday. The medical staff and office manager was informed that a patient was in the waiting room and said there was an emergency medical procedure - so EVERYONE was attending to an emergency mysterious procedure? LIES - I guess they thought I would buy that easier than none of our employees want to work and no one is professional enough to care that their office isn't properly staffed. Also weird that their 2 positive reviews mentions ARP wave. Sounds like relatives to me. Three hours later I haven't seen a medical professional - if I had gone straight to the ER I would at least have seen someone. Waiting to see someone is better than waiting and never seeing anyone. read more

This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any service provider of any kind. People at this office hate their job, starting with the main therapist that works in the morning. On several occasions, I heard him cursing the fact he had to be there working in the morning. Then he would punish his patients by letting them sit around waiting while he watched videos on his computer. I am returning from a new therapy office I had to go to complete my therapy and I just realized how poor of a service I was receiving at ortho now Doral. I didn't know where to turn until a friend recommended OrthoNOW. I'm so glad I made an appointment to see Dr Badia & his amazing team. His office is a one-stop shop. Everything from X-rays, to MRIs, to Rehab, etc is available so you don't have to visit multiple offices depending on how severe your injury is. My injury turned out to be tennis elbow & after his team did a full diagnosis, I was given 2 shots (one in my elbow & one in my wrist) After 2 weeks of resting my arm, I was back to 100%. We went to OrthoNow because we had had a great experience before and where else could we walk in two days before vacation to check out this concerning pain. My son had a wrist injury playing sports at school and we went to the Doral office instead of taking him to a regular urgent care. We were recommended by a friend and it was the best decision we ever made. From the receptionist Jessica, who was super kind and helpful assisting us to contact our insurance, to the doctor Yanira who was extremely gentle and guided us through the whole process. I had an injury to my knee while skiing in Utah and had orders to make a follow up appointment with an Orthopedic doctor immediately upon my return. To my dismay, when I called to make an appointment with the specialist at my primary care facility they were unable to grant me an appointment until one month later. I then immediately went to my OrthoNOW application on my phone and was able to bee seen the same day! The advantage that they have and what they pride themselves on is the initial expertise that you just don't get in an emergency room or let alone a general doc in the box urgent care center. I was able to be examined by a ortho doctor and have an MRI in the same office on the same day. The Team was exceptionally professional and attentive and they made sure that I was comfortable during my visit. Amazing service and professionalism which you hardly see these days and especially at the larger hospitals. They saved my son's finger!!! Our story about going to the right specialist at the right time!!! My son is a baseball player and injured his finger, I took him to a general urgent care and they sent us home saying that they couldn't do anything, for me to find a specialist. What???? And I was charged for that! I soon noticed a white material under his nail and through a friend I finally took him to OrthoNOW, where with X-Rays and evaluation by the orthopedic specialist showed that my son had an Open Fracture of the bone at the tip of his finger, the Distal Phalange. They immediately set me up with a hand surgeon who within hours fixed the problem, and now his finger actually looks better than the opposite same finger! If you have a serious injury and need an MRI stay away from this place. They will refer you out to an incompetent imaging center that will delay the process for up to a week. Once you are in the process you are stuck waiting for call backs that never come. I called my insurance to verify the delay and they informed me that it was approved days before I finally received a follow up. They have me jumping thru hoops. I can't walk and it's been a week since my initial visit. They had me come in twice to only tell me I had to go somewhere else. Misinforming me and charging me thru the process while I'm in a wheelchair no less. Still have not seen the OrthoNOW doctor. A week later I still don't know what's wrong with my knee. Complete nightmare. Left weeping in the waiting room. This place makes a lot of money and shows little compassion or effort during this process. My experience at OrthoNOW was hands down the best medical treatment I have received. I injured my knee (ACL) on Wednesday night and on Thursday morning I was in the clinic being fully treated. Dr. Badia, Dr. Husain, and their staff were all highly professional and took their time to make sure I understood all treatment options. What really set OrthoNOW apart from anywhere else I have been was the full suite of services. Terrible experience. Two days ago I tried to see a doctor and I spent the whole afternoon there just filling papers. I stayed there from 3 to 6pm and no doctor came to see us. Today I came back to try again, they always says it will be just 5 minutes waiting and it's a lie. I spent 30 min and when I asked to the front desk she was rude and said I would have to schedule in another day or go away. The front desk is the most rude I have ever seen. In short? Next time I will take my injured self right down the street near 41st/97th area to Baptist Health Urgent Care. Never had a billing problem and they are MUCH faster. Now, in long. I am really so so so so tired of being treated like a dummy by south Florida medical office's billing departments. I visited this office 2 years ago for wrist pain. First, I spent a half a day in here waiting in the front office and then a treatment room, then their downstairs office, and then an upstairs room again. I was a walk-in, so I wasn't too bothered by this. The only issue was, when I was sent for my scan downstairs, patient after patient was called in before me even though I was sitting right in front of the window and the girl logging in everyone could see me the entire time. I wound up being there a LONG time because of this, and wound up with several patients being pushed in front of me. At the time I didn't know rather they were there for other things. No, everyone was getting a scan just like me. So anywho, I was treated, I paid my office visit fee, my wrist recovered, I went to a follow-up appt, badda boom badda bing. Great, all is well. Fast forward 2 years later to June 2015. I receive a bill from this place for about $2000. $1500 for the first visit where I got a scan, a wrist splint, and some ice packs, and $475 for the second visit where they looked at my wrist and said awesome, its fixed, have a nice day (NEVER AGAIN). The bill came on a Friday after business hours and I almost lost it (because I had another Miami office do the same thing and threaten to put the bill I had no knowledge of on my credit report for non-payment). I never received ONE bill from OrthoNOW in 2 years saying that my insurance had not paid the claim, that it was being processed, that there was an outstanding bill, NOT ONE WORD, not one correspondence. HOW does an office function like this? Don't you pay your employees, the light bill? And of course this 2 years late bill says its overdue, hasn't been paid in a million days, blah blah blah threat threat threat. After calling them, the billing department told me that yes this is the first bill I received and the reason is because they billed my insurance and they never paid the claim. Seriously girl? And you notify the patient of this for the first time 2 years later? You know Miami is the medical fraud capital of the US right? So she tells me they send this bill out so that the patient can notify the insurance. I thought that was her job, but okay, I'm the one with the bill so I call (even though when you call your insurance there is a special line for doctor's offices with less/no waiting time for this exact reason). OF COURSE my insurance says, OrthoNOW didn't send us the requested documentation after we received the bill. So then I have to call OrthoNOW back and tell them all of this and discuss billing codes that I have no idea what they mean. REALLY?! "Ain't nobody got time for that!!" So then OrhtoNOW tells me, okay, let me call the insurance and find out what's going on. (blank face from me). WHY did you just not do that in the first place? And I don't even blame the girl on the phone, this is probably just some type of messed up office procedure/billing/management issue. Ugh! You guys need to freaking get it together. I will never be back to this office. EVER. read more

Excellent customer service. All the staff cares about you. They even followed up with me over the weekend, which I found to be adorable. There's a lot of parking. The decoration and cleanliness of the place is beautiful. I strongly recommend a treatment they offer called ARPWave for chronic pain, it is unbelievable how fast I recovered. Right after the first treatment I saw a huge improvement. The entire staff is very friendly. The best health care service ever. read more
