I advised I was pursuing getting to PT and would consider the injection if PT feels pain is causing inability of function. Would recommend this practice. Dr. Michael Yurubi, D.O. Was the treating physician. I had my doubts as he is not an 'MD' and I am old school but he was knowledgeable and had training under the Miami Heat physician. Finally I grew up in Miami and very aware of this practice. I even went to school with one of the doctors, Keith Hechtman and of course everyone knows Dr Harlan Selesnick of The Miami Dolphins and Heat. So I would trust them for my needs and you should too.

Called them back today and was told they were waiting for a copy of my x ray from orthopedic specialists. I Call the office, they put me on with the person (Sonia) who can help me. She tells me they don't send the xray films, they put notes on the referral. When I ask her to please call that office to speak with them, she tells me no. She has ZERO customer service skills. They expected ME to call and pass on the message (extremely unprofessional). Office is dis organized, they answer all the phone only to put you on hold and when they finally pick up, they are having a personal conversation with the person next to them. If this is how they handle their patients, I would hate to see how my hip surgery would turn out. I will be finding another orthopedic surgeon, this office just lost me as a patient.

I also loved that Dr. Alvarado trusted me when I said I was ready for the second surgery and how I wanted to manage my post-op rehab and recovery. I highly recommend Dr.Carlos Alvarado without reservation for your orthopedic needs. If he is not the best fit for your surgical procedure, he will certainly know who to refer you to. He recently moved and changed to another orthopedic practice with his wife who is also an orthopedic surgeon and was offered a fellowship in New York. Two Total Hip Replacements later and I have my life back.

I don't have the expertise to judge whether the doctors at PerfectFeet are good at their craft…read more ***But as a businessperson, I can say with confidence that their business practices fall somewhere between slipshod and unethical.*** PerfectFeet has typical and annoying "doctors' office habits" such as keeping you waiting with no apology (once, I waited two hours for a five-minute appointment). Whatever. But what convinced me to write this review and warn others was the fact that they recommended I get my orthotics (purchased previously with another out of state provider) refurbished through a subcontractor of theirs. One pair went well, though I was made to wait more than *two months* to receive it back (PerfectFeet had estimated 2-3 weeks). I then gave them two other pairs to be refurbished (PerfectFeet handled receiving the orthotics and the payment), and waited another three months (again, Dr. Cala had estimated 2-3 weeks). I was required to pick them up - only to discover (I had not been warned) that the orthotics not only hadn't been redone, they had been torn apart and destroyed by the subcontractor and were no longer usable. When I complained to Dr. Cala that they were unusable (I had originally purchased the orthotics for $750 apiece), he shrugged and said that because it was a subcontractor, there was nothing they could do beyond refund the $300 fee for refurbishment. But they didn't make that easy, either! PerfectFeet declared that they could not reverse the charge on the credit card and they would have to write me a check - but only one person in the office could do it and they were not available. I requested the check on multiple other occasions over a period of two months, during which time they claimed the check had been mailed (it never arrived). Finally, I got my money back only because I issued a claim with my credit card provider. The level of indifference to customer experience is frankly offensive to me and I hope others will be forewarned and avoid PerfectFeet, which either chooses not to care about its level of service or purposely attempts to wring extra money out of their unwitting customers by attempting to make our lives so hard it's not worth bothering to dispute. Stay away!

Approximately 3 yrs ago hubby needed knee surgery and now about 2 weeks ago he needed it on the other knee. Dr Jaen was available and preformed the surgery. He is a kind and caring physician. He truly cares about each and every one of his patience. He so kindly remembered us from the last time and even remembered my hubby insisting on playing basketball which is why we are back now!! Dr Jaen staff is also very kind and professional. They treat everyone with the up most respect and courtesy. His office is kept clean and neat. Dr Jaen addresses your every need and question. He is a straight talking kinda doctor. We are thankful for his great service. Amazing Dr and Surgeon! office we go to is at Palmetto Hospital - Hialeah - however he does his surgeries at an outside facility (also yelping it!)
