It's so much farther than these other ones...but man did I ever have to eat my own words. For context, we were trying to get blood work done for my mom who has late stage dementia. Even though we had worries about how this was going to go due to her illness, we had such an easy time here thanks to the staff. Xandy, our phlebotomist, went above and beyond with the service she provided. She helped us draw blood from my mother flawlessly and helped us navigate a customer service call with ease. Honestly, we wouldn't have been able to do it without her and I'm not exaggerating. Shout-outs to the manager/supervisor who helped us as well, unfortunately didn't catch her name but she also helped suggest fixes for our little online registration mix up. We had a typo with a birthdate which made our test request not appear but the team here was great all around on getting it fixed for us. They were super patient with us and yeah it's the little things that count.

I want to give a special shoutout to Maelynn who is a practitioner but also the head of their billing department, for patiently working with me on a very tedious issue involving our insurance (and medical group). A PSA for others, especially using Anthem BC - your medical group must be clearly written on the card and not every urgent care takes every medical group. 1. Make sure you have the most up to date cards with you. 2. If there is a coverage issue (insurer denying or rejecting the bill, file a grievance quickly as medical groups don't always communicate rejection reasons to your primary health insurance company, and your insurance company can determine which medical groups you should be resubmitting claims. 3. Your insurance company can work with the urgent care center if a bill needs to be resent to a different medical group or reprocessed. Maelynn did an amazing job helping us reconcile what would have been almost $600 in insurer-rejected charges to essentially nothing!

All of my drs keep writing orders to labcorp but I've been still going to Quest. Finally I gave up as my son's pediatrician also wanted us to go to labcorp. When I looked it up I saw this location is so close to his elementary school so this is where we went. He has not gotten labs done for several years and his last experience at Kaiser was not good. The tech talked to him to get him to redirect away from the 8 vials of blood she took from him. The staff were all great at check in and to draw the blood. It's a brand new facility opened 1 year ago. Clean, small, but mighty. After us there was several other people that checked in after us who the staff knew by name. Great quality care! Consequently, the wait time and billing errors have increased while the overall experience of venipuncture has really declined. The staff have no sense of urgency or concerns about HIPAA. They openly disparage and talk about patients in front of them. Very unprofessional. I signed in with only 1pt after me. They skipped me over and didn't even apologize. I didn't think I would spend more than 45 minutes there for simple lab draws. The worst part was the billing errors created thanks to them. It took me well over 9 months of back and forth to straighten it out. Hoping to never return to this particular lab again. It's too bad because it used to be a good lab.

I feel like they should be able to send my results without me having to log into the portal to print them myself. This isn't self-serve!! Not service oriented business practices .
