Came for some blood work my doctor ordered while I was out of town. The people working couldn't find my information on file so I had to call my nurse for them to FAX it in because THEY DON'T ACCEPT EMAIL. After my nurse faxed it over, they said it was blank and didn't have an test orders on it. I called my nurse and she said it's on there (named the test), which I communicated back to them and they finally read it correctly. That person is clearly not very competent. Saving grace: once they had my order, the woman who took my blood was nice and found my vein very easily. read more

This was my second time getting blood drawn here and it hurt horribly!! The phlebotomist hit a fibrous band and possibly my nerve leaving me with a bruise and lots of pain days later. I've had my blood drawn countless of times elsewhere and never has it hurt before. read more

Service is super slow. Even with an appointment you have to wait up to an hour. I had to wait for more than 30 min just to drop a sample off. Some of the ladies have the sympathy of an angry T-Rex. read more

I've been getting my lab work done at this facility for at least five years, several times a year, as a walk-in. Last time, during Covid, distancing protocols were in place and they took me immediately. I have found the people who draw my blood to be swift, efficient, careful, friendly, and skilled. I always see them compare the stickers for the tubes with the paperwork, check and re-check. This is not a fancy facility, but it's clean and adequate. My doctors like me to get my tests done at one facility for the sake of consistency with results. They receive the results in a timely manner. read more

So I go here today to get some lab work at 3:50. The lady says we don't take anyone after 3:45. I said it doesn't say that anywhere, she says if the computer won't let you sign in then we can't see you but you don't close til 4:30. Well the computer says Monday at 12noon but you go to lunch at that time, the lady says you can just walk in on Monday and I said like I did today and you sitting there giving me all these excuses and you could done the work by now. Wow. If you are trying to get a drug test done here- go to another location. I went in October to have a drug test done for a new job and the receptionist by the name of Takesha basically refused to give me a drug test by saying I could not take a drug test without a print out of the appointment that included the expiration date (which is not true, there is no expiration date) She made my employer email her the documentation, then told me she never received it. She was so rude to me when I was nothing but nice to her that she brought me to tears because all I wanted was to take this test in time to start my new job. Three other men who were also there for some work testing left because she was also making it extremely difficult to have the work done. The entire time she was making this process impossible she smiled and acted like she was not doing anything wrong. After being there for an hour trying to get her the information she was requesting she told me i would have to come back in two hours and try again because she was going to lunch. I ended up going to the Orland Park location and had NO problem at all. I wrote a complaint to corporate they never responded to me. Avoid this place at all costs read more

Needed to go to this location for a urine test. Walk in after calling in to confirm when they were open to be turned away until 2pm. Literally no one was in the office. I met with 2 women who could not provide me with a brochure with times. They referred to printouts on their office door... Really? I hope they change their policy soon or update Google to reflect the appropriate hours. I met with Lisa and Latrice. Shame. This is close by my home but I would not recommend it one bit. read more

I can't find any reason why anyone would give this lab office a one star rating, unless they had a hidden agenda at attempting to discredit the workers or the company. I was in and out and had a perfect experience. The girls were professional and took good care of me. My experience isn't rated on how pretty the building is or the amenities. It is solely based on my office visit. By the way, I read all the other comments prior to selecting this facility, and all but one proved that the clients/customers had the issues not the Lab Office. "All in All"; there was no reason for this Lab office, to have ever received a one star rating, and for the record; I wasn't paid to write this review and I don't personally know anyone working for this company. I don't even know if this counts as a doctor's visit but if it does, this is by far the worst visit I have ever had. The nurse who helped me at the front desk and who took my blood was so incredibly rude to me throughout my whole visit I started to tear up at one point. They really should hire someone else. DO NOT go to this location for lab work. I had a terrible experience with my first and LAST visit here. I went in, put my name on the list. A name completely different than mine was called, no one responded, and the staff member immediately went on the next person. When I realized that 3 people went ahead of me, I asked the staff member when it was my turn. The staff member said she called out "my name". I told her the name she called out earlier was not mine and she started YELLING at me in front of everyone in the waiting room stating that my handwriting is bad and that I should've asked earlier and that they never skip over people. Additionally, the 2 staff members had no name tags on identifying them and their job title. I waited an hour to have lab work done. Unacceptable. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL staff. read more

LabCorp at 522 Chestnut in Hinsdale is located in a poorly disability accessible / marked building. East side entrance has an absurdly (45 degrees or so) steep ramp, turns out there is better access from the west entrance but since I came from the East I didn't know - the east entrance does have accessible parking signs... Their online scheduling tool is useless unless I can schedule out more than month into the future. This morning they had a complete computer system failure with no information about if or when it might be restored. After questioning at some length I was able to learn it was their own internal servers so at least there is hope. Further they NO backup procedure in place other than to shut down testing. Turns out the Naperville location does have a procedure in place for this problem and they were continuing to test during the outage. So we have chaos, one LabCorp office does what they want while another LabCorp office does what they want! In my opinion LabCorp sucks and I will never be back if I can do so. Following is more complete story of how their failures affected me and others... Okay so I have a test to take that my doctor ordered and it's a two part test, part 1 is a 24-hour activity followed by a visit to the local lab for a blood draw. The blood draw must be done the morning following the 24-hour test because it's all connected. The nearest facility listed in my instructions is in Hinsdale at 522 Chestnut Street. When I arrived in the neighborhood I had to pull over to retrieve my dropped phone (I was talking to Rob) and I put the car in park, retrieved the phone and then when I was prepared to move the gear shift would not come out of park - first problem of the day! So I called the business I'm parked in front and ask if I can keep the car there while I deal with the break down and the testing, they say ok, I then hoof it to 522 Chestnut and am confronted by a ridicules steep ramp. It's at same angle as the stairs it replaced. So I evaluate my chances and decide to go for it hoping that I am not confronted with no elevator or other way out as going up this ramp just isn't going to happen. Thankfully, there was an elevator in the lobby and I get up to the LabCorps office where there's a bunch of other people milling about. It wasn't quite 8 a.m. which is their opening time and then after a few minutes the doors open but the man says - sorry folks our computer system is down, no testing until its back up. He didn't offer anything more information. Great I am stranded at a dead lab, with a dead car and few options. I brought the Mark VIII's manual with me and did discover the Lincoln has a procedure to deal with this fault. Turn the car off, engage the parking brake, turn the ignition slightly and at that time the gear shift should be free, start the car then release the parking brake. I call Rob with this info and offer other words of encouragement and suggestions like check fuses, etc. Then I try to escalate, I call the parent LabCorp office in Chicago, tell them the story, they say the lab should go ahead; they don't need the computer because I am already fully registered and good to go. They ask to speak to Mr. Reluctant, Mr. Reluctant is having none of it and that end of that. A couple of people bail. Another victim calls LabCorp's Naperville lab and their computer is down too but their testing so a few more victims, leaving just me. Must be nice to have options and isn't it great the nitwits (LabCorp) all play to different music and no LabCorp genius thought to have a backup plan in place - Frigging Outstanding! Anyway after another little while there computer system emerges from its slumber and I get the test done. Meanwhile Rob has successfully performed the magical process of patting your head, rubbing your stomach, blinking eyes, jumbo up and down and it works, Yeah Rob - it is a little tricky the first time you do it successfully! Initial diagnosis determines there is a short circuit because I did the fuse, replace it and it works - one time only and it blows. So we now have an appointment to get the old piece of crap car repaired one more time! read more

I've been bringing my 4 year old daughter here for Lab work vs going to the hospital lab at Lurie's Children and I couldn't be happier. The two people that work here currently are awesome and I will be very sad if they leave. My daughter is always taken well care of when she is there. Such a horrible place if you are looking for polite workers who actually provide customer service. The front desk woman was so rude, lacked any compassion, and was not willing to provide ANY help when something when wrong with scheduling. Will never come here again. If you want to work in the service industry and help people who obviously need medical labs and tests done, you should probably learn how to talk to people and treat people with respect. read more

I went in today simply because the location was convenient for me. I was prepared for the worst after reading all the previous reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter and I were taken immediately and both of the employees handled us professionally, politely and efficiently. They must've taken their reviews to heart and made a conscious effort to improve. We were both finished and back in the car within 10 minutes! I would not hesitate to return if the need arose. I wouldn't normally bother to review a lab, but after seeing the negative reviews I wanted to give my opinion. I have gone to this lab 5-6 times over the past few years, for company wellness screens and personal lab tests. I don't think I've ever had an appointment. The longest I've waited is 15 minutes. The receptionists aren't overly friendly, but they're professional and efficient. The phlebotomists have been excellent - without exception. The building is a bit shabby, but so what? If I have to get a needle stuck in my arm, I'll choose this lab every time. read more

Avoid this Labcorp!!! If I can give negative stars I would. At 11am I went for a drug test for school. First sample wasnt sufficient so they said to drink water and try again. The second time I couldnt go. I had informed the technicians I had a Drs appointmet at 1230pm just 10minutes away. The technician informed me that they dont do drug tests between 12pm-2pm and that I could return at 2pm to try again. So she had me leave my registration paperwork with her. As Im driving to my drs appt I get a call from the same technian who is rudely telling me to return to the lab to give the sample. Apperantly she "wasnt aware" that she CAN NOT LET ME LEAVE THE FACILITY UNTIL I GIVE A SAMPLE. I was not informed about this because she wasnt aware of their own policy, so she never told me. She repeatedly said I could return but now that I left she says I either return now or she will mark me down as "refusal". Which she did because I can not miss my Drs appointment. Now in order for me to get a new code I have to repay the $35 all because someone else didnt do their job properly. GO TO A DIFFERENT FACILITY. read more
