Went in today and unfortunately my boss called me just as I got there so I entered on the phone. The Dr submitted my tests and I did not have a paper copy. She wasn't happy with me in general and asked me if I was there for a drug test in a way that suggested to me she thought I was some sort of user. She goes, "so I have to search the database!?!" Anyhow, when I finally got off my stupid and admittedly disruptive I've call, I went in and apologized, complimented her needle work and wished her a nice weekend. She was grumpy. Then it got weird. On my way out, a man was on his way in and looked angry and he was telling me that I "he was there because I was being rude to his girlfriend and that I better apologize." Although I wasn't picture perfect, she musta been having a crazy nuts day to call in the meat head boyfriend. I was pleasant and apologetic to him and walked away. He looked tough. Be aware folks, the blood lady can be crabby and she'll call the bouncer to rough you up if you are out of line. read more

Blood work. Blood borne. Blood poisoning. Blood drive. Blood sucker. Blood sure does command a lot of action. I suppose that's why I have this over whelming desire to run like Forrest Gump away from any lab that is about to draw my blood. Well, not so fast, Forrest, not so fast. This is the exception that proves the rule. Granted, the office building itself is nothing to write home for. And if you happen to enter in the service entrance, versus the main fancy schmancy lobby, you will think that illegal medical whatever is performed here. But after entering Quest you are met with exactly what you need: calm, quiet, professionalism, and extremely large and comfortable lounge chairs -- that which to more comfortably draw thy blood. I will admit that I get a little fidgety when they put that padded bar in front of you. You never feel the "Great America" theme park feeling. And one should never view it as a way to avoid escape. More importantly, it is there for the utterly exciting possibility (or probability) that you will pass out when the needle goes in: and we wouldn't want to have to go through all of that pretense again, would we? Sylvia (the woman who drew my blood) should get an Olympic medal. And on the off chance that I had fallen over in a dead heap (and we're talking dead) there is not a doubt in my mind that coroner's near and far would never have been able to locate the needle stick. I get my blood drawn weekly and have come to quest a few times and now actively avoid it. *Noone ever answers the phone *they never seem to receive the orders from my doctors either via the computer or via fax. I need to rely on bringing a physical copy. *I am a moderately hard stab and they struggle extremely hard to draw my blood. When I have it drawn at the hospital they are able to get it on the first poke 95% of the time, but Quest usually takes a few stabs and isn't always gentle while searching for the vein once they've poked you. *no cell phone service (not a huge deal, but would be nice to use my cell phone in there) read more

First things first, I would return here if I needed to. Needed to get some bloodwork done and didn't want to drive downtown Chicago just for that. It was easy to just walk in; I had to wait about 15 minutes as there was someone ahead of me (8am on a Wednesday morning). Everyone was very professional if not overly friendly. I guess my only complaint is the online system to use afterwards--I requested my results online a few weeks ago and never got a response (I wanted a copy for my own records). Luckily they did send everything to my doctor within a week. read more

The blood drawing portion was fairly simple and painless so high marks for that BUT very low marks--ZEROS for: no one answers phone; no one at desk; cannot make online appointment for earlier than 9 am; HAD TO WAIT TO DROP OFF LAB SAMPLE!!!! If I can give this place 0 stars I would give it 0 stars--they are extremely rude and the lady taking my blood broke the sterile technique so many times I lost count. Not to mention she was so rude and did not adhere to professional policy and regulations. read more

I've dealt with Quest through a couple doctors offices but this was my first experience with the Hinsdale office. Terrible experience! I waited close to 30 minutes to drop off at home test. I was OK with that, I was a walk in but had tried to call before- no one answered or returned call. The tech was nice but the only one there, trying to do multiple clients. She left a guy there for a drug test to see me. Looked at me test, said wasn't sure it would be excepted (something about the level in one of the vials) but would send out anyway. Filled out all the paperwork and then when I asked told me they would call me within 3-5 days- even asked which number would be best to call. It's now been over a week and nothing. So I called a couple times always getting voicemail. Left a message- no return, left another message and again no reply. So I called customer service for the company. I'm told they are not doctors and never call patients with results. Never- so why would she tell me that. I replied I don't know- but am positive she did. I mean she left the guy alone doing the drug test- he could've easily done something. read more

This location deserves a zero. There are never any online appointments available even when the lobby is empty. They don't answer the phone so you can't make an appointment. If you walk in, prepare to wait two hours. They only have one tech working and she takes lunch from 12 to 1. Very bad service. Going to talk to my healthcare provider about using a different lab service. read more
