He calmed my son in a happy way, explained everything well, and gave him the care he needed. I was especially relieved that Richard did not give me the 3rd degree about declining the Tetanus shot. I was hesitant to go into Amita Care today, because of my past bad experiences with Immediate Care clinics. My son (9) had a deep cut on his head that need to be seen today, though. (Yes, this is immediate care. The other one-star reviewer must have gone to the Amita Med. Group, because of the wrong phone number listed with Yelp.) We will be back. Thank you!

By 8:10 no one had arrived to check people in so I asked the ENT receptionist if the lab was open. She stated that she had not seen anyone from the lab come in. I asked her if there was someone who could go check since she did not have any patients checking in at her window. She reluctantly went to check and came back to say no one was there yet but they were calling to see where people were. Waited until 8:20 and still no one for lab so we left since his blood draw needed to be done by 8:30 and we knew that would not happen. We purposely signed in before the lab opened so he would be one of the first taken. Went back on Tuesday and signed in at the same time. This time the receptionist was there but didn't come out to start until exactly 8:00. I understand that this is her starting time but she had to start her computer first which took some time to do. Meanwhile there were already 8 people waiting for lab tests. She slowly started checking people in and the first person was not called until 8:10. She was in no hurry to check people in and took her own sweet time doing so. Luckily my husband was called at 8:20 so his blood draw was within the time needed. I understand that everywhere is short staffed but something needs to be done here. Why can't the person who is checking patients in start at 7:45 so that the actual lab can actually open at 8:00 to start drawing blood? Also, the check in process needs to be faster than it was. Unfortunately we will continue using this lab until we can find a more efficient one close to home as my husband needs blood drawn every week.

Informed (via phone) I would be notified by text when they were ready, so I should stay close by. Instead of staying in the tiny, overcrowded waiting room reeking of BO, I stepped into the hall outside. Just outside the door. I went back in about 15 minutes later, but no one was at the desk. I went back in a third time at 10:37am because I hadn't been texted to ask how far behind they were running. LaTrice tells me that Robin had called my name twice. Not texted. Called it to the waiting room. Robin comes up and says, "Oh you're here!" Yes, Robin, I've been here since 10am and was outside that door. You didn't text me. "Oh, we don't text here." She seemed surprised that LabCorp, her employer, seems to think she does. I felt bad for LaTrice having to work with this incompetent person. I did not feel okay with Robin sticking me with needles, and LaTrice just quietly said, "I got you," and took me back. Bless her. Someone please get LaTrice a better employer!

We have seen her once a year or twice a year for three years for my two son's various flu and other injuries. We are so grateful she is there. Please don't leave, Dr Kelly! If every provider were like her, our medical field would be serving all patients SO well. Here's why: She always thinks of everything without me even asking, from meds, to at home things to do, to a school note, without hesitation. She always makes a little bit of small talk with my sons, but it's like she really cares. Bonus: The place is clean, the front desk staff is friendly, calm and efficient. They smile and are efficient and great with insurance and I haven't ever received a crazy bill from them ever. The wait time has never exceeded 15 minutes. We are out within 45 min including payment and lab tests. I am not getting paid by them to say all this stuff LOL haha! I don't know anyone there either....but I just have to call out this example of urgent care DONE RIGHT. Dr Kara's-Hedrick, DNP, please always continue being the best urgent care provider we've seen! To the staff: Stay well and take care of yourselves and know that your job MEANS A LOT to the community. Your kindness and helpful demeanor makes all the difference when we are feeling ill!

Dear Duly Healthcare (5207 Main St - DT DG) You're front…read moredesk staff was rude, impatient and lacks compassion for others. Person first care is a collaborative effort in Healthcare. From beginning to end. I'm telling you as a fellow clinician/provider, that if that dude is the FIRST FACE & interaction a NEW or existing patient has, you've already failed your patient. My young teen, who was a nervous wreck because shes never had to go to a specialist before, has had an experience dealing with an insensitive & ignorant male JUST at check in, do you think were thinking... "this isnt gonna be so bad, he was nice - I like this practice"....?.....Absolutely NOT. We're thinking "okaaay, sooo that stunk. HES the first face AND representing this practice - cant wait to see/meet the staff that is ACTUALLY supposed to help us"....and we wernt wrong - because we were met with more ignorant staff at the desk in the back after the appointment. So.... I suggest putting them in like, I dunno, maybe a role that doesn't require interactions w patients or something - anywhere but the front desk. If the the criteria for hiring staff is having a pulse, ignorance, ZERO human interaction & communication skills, well - then im gonna advise that Duly raises the bar on the hiring process. Maaaaybe implement some training in what person first care is, proper vernacular and the ability to be kind to others - if theyre even worth the training. The chip on his shoulder & his street attitude, dont belong in Healthcare. But....Im just nuero/psych - so what do i know? Hope the girl sitting next to him, passed along my note. We won't be returning. PS - don't bother replying with a generic post about "appreciating my feedback and taking it up with your team.". Take actionable steps to screen & hire the right staff. Patients don't care about "appreciating feedback"..... they care about SEEING change. I mean, I appreciate the good service/server provides when I go to a restaurant. It doesn't negate the fact that the person who COOKED my meal, failed miserably. Its not the servers fault, she did her job. The cook? Not so
