I had the distinct pleasure of going to Future Diagnostics at 254 Republican Avenue in Joliet. Everyone was phenomenal!!! I just wrote a review for Future Diagnostics at New Lennox because I didn't see this location... oops... this is the location I had MRI done. It's located in Joliet. Well worth the drive from Chicago!! Everyone was so professional, medically knowledgeable and so very kind and caring!!! And the MRI cost was nearly 1/3 less than the hospital I was referred to originally. I was able to get in so soon after calling!! Lori Russ is phenomenal!!! All of the MRI techs are great!! Each person I interacted with was professional, so knowledgeable and so very kind! And, each person really took the time and listened to what had been occurring with me medically..so refreshing!! I will say this they were more than happy to schedule tests for me to see the doctors. The doctors and the nurses were fine, they explained things and they did a great job, where they fall lacking is , nobody ever sent me any billing statements. I just got a call from somebody saying it's going to collections and she was extremely rude on the phone and I've never gotten any statements in the mail. She claimed I personally called you blah blah blah left you phone messages, I say BS! So she got snippy with me and my wife happened to overhear my phone call and say we've just mailed it out a few days ago , and the lady was still snippy to me , so I hung up on her. Apparently we did get one statement and my wife took care of it. And you think the ladies tone of voice would have changed , but no. So do not use them. Their doctors , nurses and assistants are fine. The people that are behind the desk, scheduling appointments, answering the phones, doing billing are rotten to the core, not worth the trouble and on top of that I took a whole host of tests and no one ever called me to give me any results. Or do any follow up. Do not use them. I called repeatedly to get results and I was told we'll get back to you, we'll get back to you. Ive had enough. And the one other thing that really burns my britches. They insist on payment before you have any work done on you so I am really skeptical that I owe them anything because I paid an estimated payment and then supposedly it went to my insurance and now they're calling for more payment. I'm really skeptical. I think they probably charged me twice. read more

They refused to do MRI because I have a cochlear implant and won't have the magnet surgically removed temporarily. I have a state-of-the art implant which has a magnet assembly that allows the patient to have a MRI without having to remove magnet. The company that makes it even won an award for it. So I am having the MRI at a hospital instead. My ENT doctor was very upset about the situation. Never will go there. read more

I went here today to get my first mammogram at the age of 54. I was always scared of getting it done. I thought it would be very painful and I'd only get bad news because my sister died at 61 after having breast cancer that metastasized to her lung. However, that was NOT my experience. The ladies at the front desk were professional and Nina, the technician was terrific! She helped so much in putting me at ease!! So professional and compassionate. At one point I cried because I thought about my sister and she was very patient and understanding. I will keep going back, being assured that it did not hurt!! read more

I came in with my mother-in-law earlier this week for an ultrasound and John did a great job. He took a lot of time to explain things to us and I learned a lot about how ultrasound works. It was cool. I had never been here before but I definitely recommend them for any imaging and I think they even have a lab to which is convenient. read more

After investigating it turns out it was blue cross blue shield that caused this. Bcbs told me they have the right to increase their bill even after giving an estimate to what ever amount they see fit because they can. Diagnostic company did help me with the bill and got me a MRI disk. I would recommend them. read more

After suddenly getting tingling sensations which were on my left side, then numbing in many other areas, I was really worried. I saw a doctor in Joliet who automatically was suggesting that I might have a tumor or MS. I have scoliosis and was hoping it was a pinched nerve. He suggested that I get an MRI of the neck and brain. Being a frugal shopper, I shopped around because I have a huge deductible that wasn't met. The cost of a neck and brain MRI is pricey but I discovered that FDG included the radiology report among other things. I also discovered that they are one of the most competitively priced diagnostic facilities in the area. I went in and was not disappointed at all by the friendly front desk staff and professional techs. I read the last review and found it hard to believe that a tech would offer assessment information because when I asked a tech if she could tell me if she saw anything scary she told me that the radiologist is the one that is able to make the assessments and would provide a thorough report on the findings. Even though it was a holiday weekend (Labor day weekend) I had my report forwarded to my doctor on Friday ( I came in on the day before which was Thursday). Now I don't know if the reports will always come so quickly but I feel that the radiologist might take a quick peek at imaging stuff to see if there is anything glaringly obviously wrong, then would place that on a priority screening (I think but I have no idea what really is their policy, perhaps they stick to a fist screen first read; I don't know). Either way, my experience at Future Diagnostics Group was as good as could be expected under the circumstance of sitting in a MRI booth with knocks and pings, but that really wasn't that bad either, I was actually falling asleep and felt very relaxed. Would I recommend FDG for other screenings? Yes. Of course you should do your homework and shop around if you need to but I don't think you would be disappointed. Today I had two MRI, A brain and a thoracic... I am very claustrophobic. I am very anxious. And truly afraid of any medical testing that I have done. Today my MRI tech ,Jasmine, Was very cool, kind, and compassionate. She treated me with the utmost respect And professionalism. I have gone to FDG to have my mammograms performed for years. The technicians are always personable, polite and very professional, and always got my results very soon after completion of my tests. When my Dr asked to see their film because he was at Edwards hospital, I was able to get them within a couple of days with no problems. A great place that makes you feel very comfortable when having your mammograms done.....when no one really enjoys them. read more

While we were waiting, a lady came from her test. They were sending her home. But neglected to remove THE NEEDLE FROM HER ARM!! My daughter finally got called in after waiting over an hour. The woman inserted the needle. Had some issues. Called in another woman to "save it". She "refused to try again". Well..new nurse shoved saline or whatever into my daughter's arm. She screamed and was crying as they weren't in a vain!! This place is a HOT MESS!! read more

Future Diagnostics makes me have hope again for the medical system in America. Recently, I've had a number of bad experiences getting medical care. I came here for a CT scan and a MRI. The staff was professional, friendly, efficient and polite. The waiting room was nice with a selection of coffee. The parking area is great with a covered lot. Everything was clean and there was almost no waiting time. The cost is much lower than going to a hospital for similar tests. One of my best experiences getting medical services. read more

Tech was okay, did her job, but not very personable. She also told me she didn't see anything bad. I did not ask that question and she was also wrong. My main complaint was that it took between 3 and 4 weeks to get the result of a test that was given to me because a previous test made the doctor suspect a cyst might be dangerous. I wonder YOU have a test, and it turns out after the fact that time was essential in dealing with your problem, would you want a place that gets you the results quickly so you could address your issue asap or a place like this that you might be able to sue if you could prove slow results caused an unnecessary progression of your ailment? Pick this place if u think you might get a law suit out of it. Good luck! read more

Excellent service, best prices!!! My doctor ordered a heart scan and I could have it at the hospital or find my own location. I found Future Diagnostics Group online and made a contact. Very quickly, I received a phone call asking what I was looking for and was explained the financial amount with or without insurance. I wasn't sure if this was a place for me or should I just go through the hospital. I scheduled at the hospital. The hospital cancelled my procedure (blessing in disguise) that I had scheduled a week prior due to an insurance contact need and it was over the holidays. The hospital was to call me back on a Wednesday and they didn't so I called Future Diagnostics Group the following Tuesday (Monday- New Years) and my order was sent to them. They were very polite and made the insurance contacts that were required and the final wait was for the Doctor to contact the insurance company. I had my scan on Friday of that week. Very friendly staff, clean office, with very little wait time, if any. After my scan, I was shown other procedures they do and the low prices. (Ex:Lipid Panel $9 self pay...I've been paying $29) I will definitely be back for anything I can have completed by Future Diagnostics Group. (Not sure why my address is showing California. Great staff and very accommodating. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and pleasant. I had to get in at the last minute for two scans before I left town for the holidays and the front staff excelled at accomplishing that. I would recommend Future Diagnotics for all your imaging needs. Much better in many ways than the hospital. Also as a coffee and tea drinker a Keurig machine was in both waiting rooms I was in.
