I went to the Midwest Express Clinic in Skokie Illinois and the physician suggested that I have an ultrasound the gentleman by the name of Daniel after my visit scheduled the ultrasound and he scheduled it at the Midwest Express Clinic at the location 40 75th Street in Willowbrook Illinois the ultrasound was scheduled by the representative at 9735 Skokie Boulevard Skokie Illinois for 3:00 p.m. I finished my appointment at the skooky Boulevard location headed to the Willowbrook location to take ultrasound 15 minutes away I can text message to my appointment have been canceled I immediately called and let the gentleman at the rate Illinois location Midwest Express Clinic no that I was literally 15 minutes away I spent $85 leaving Skokie Illinois going to Willowbrook for this ultrasound the gentleman told me that the technician was leaving at 2:00 that they would have to reschedule I informed him that I was literally in route in 15 minutes away he told me there was nothing they can do I called back spoke with the technician at the Willowbrook Illinois location by the name of Isabel I am a retired nurse I have scheduled many patients for appointments seeing that the problem was not my fault the patient and it was default of the medical personnel there should be some empathy and exception given saying that the mistake was on their part the ultrasound technician Isabel was very nonchalant and I found to be very rude I would suggest to whoever is managing the Willowbrook Illinois location that she take further training because as a medical professional you also always supposed to show professionalism and empathy to your patients especially when it's your medical agency that made the mistake so Not only was my appointment canceled I spent $80 going there and had to spend $75 going home for a visit that was corrupted by the Midwest Express clinic in Willowbrook Illinois 40 75th Street I still went to the appointment because I wanted to see my for myself as a registered nurse and retired nurse what the problem could be to where she had to reschedule me I literally walked in at 1:00 remember she stated that she was leaving at 2:00 when my initial appointment was at 3:00 there was literally three people in the waiting room and it was a family I'm sure all three of them are not getting ultrasounds there was literally no one in the waiting area so if she was so booked and couldn't take me at 3:00 because she was leaving at 2:00 and it's 1:00 p.m. where were all these patients so as a retired medical professional I would not go to this particular location ever again I see that they're ratings seem to be pretty high but as a medical professional I would not feel comfortable going there seeing this is how their employees treat patients it was absolutely unacceptable that they treat a patient the way that they did saying that it was there mistake . The technician at the Willowbrook location by the name of Isabel needs to have more training in medical professionalism and patient empathy.

I value the apology and assistance they provided to enhance our experience. I am very disappointed with Darien Immediate Care. I took my son there due to a shoulder injury and he was taken in for an X-Ray. PA Erin Berman read his x-ray and misdiagnosed him having a broken collarbone and dislocated shoulder and informed us to go to the ER ASAP. When the ER doctor read these same x-rays, I was informed that only my son's collarbone was broken, but his shoulder was not dislocated. However, the ER doctor nevertheless was required to take additional x-rays at this point to confirm the diagnosis that the shoulder was not, in fact, dislocated. Therefore, my son did not need to be rushed to the ER and could've received urgent care for his collarbone with a follow up with an orthopedic doctor. As a result, in addition to what this facility billed us, we incurred additional fees and costs for the ER visit and additional x-rays, and spent additional time agonizing over the injury. Therefore, I requested to speak with the office manager regarding my billing, who promised to call me but never did. When I spoke to the billing department, they refused to transfer me to the office manager or share contact information and refused to adjust my bill in any way. While I have no issue paying for medical services, I do have an issue incurring unnecessary additional fees and costs due to the misdiagnosis. If my son was diagnosed properly in this facility, we wouldn't have had to go the ER and he would walked away with a sling, which is the recommended treatment for a broken collarbone. This is also my second negative experience with this facility. During a prior visit, we saw PA Anum Haq who diagnosed my son with an ear infection; however, PA Anum Haq then failed to timely send the required prescription to the pharmacy, which delayed my son's healing and caused him more pain. I will never go to this facility again, and will share my experience where possible so that other families do not have to incur unnecessary additional expenses when money is already tightly budgeted for most.

Melissa, the medical assistant, was thorough with her vital checks and made sure I had my printed out summary of care when I left. Great place to go when not feeling well. Dr. Z asked me if I wanted to proceed with an Rx that would help if she was correct. Of course she was! We were conservative and she started with a baseline dose of 10 MG. Even 10 MG. made a difference, and at two follow up appts. she systematically increased the dosage to my maintenance level of 40 MG. I realized she could have set me up from Day One with a higher dose, even 50 MG. Capsules since taking, 1, 2, or 4 capsules at bedtime might be viewed by some as inconvenient- but her assessment and insight was right on target and the Vertigo and Migraines have been kept in check without dosing me at higher than necessary levels. I no longer have to pause and grab a wall due to Vertigo, and my ( previously untreated) Migraines are vastly improved. I now can see her once a year since I know if anything comes up I can send her/her team a message on MyLoyola to sanity check any issues. YAY!
