Do NOT recommend this location. I scheduled an appointment and when I checked in, it had me as a "walk in". I had to wait about 2 hours for them to draw blood. When the technician came to the room, she did not have any manners. My experience during the blood draw was uncomfortable. The tourniquet was tightened much too tightly around my arm, causing significant pain. I've had many blood draws before, and I've never experienced that level of discomfort from a tourniquet. I understand it needs to be snug, but this felt excessively tight. I hope this feedback helps ensure future patients have a more comfortable experience. read more

Incredibly RUDE and unhelpful front desk staff. On June 23 I had a 9:45 AM appointment at the greenbelt location. I had a terrible experience with the staff. One sign-in kiosk was occupied and the other was missing the ID tray required to log in. When I stood 4-5 feet back in line to get help, the older woman at the front desk loudly and rudely yelled at me that I was "too close" and to sit down and wait to be called. When I explained the kiosk was broken, she dismissed me, saying only the tray was broken but working and to just wait for the other machine. She then finished with the person in front of me and walked away entirely without helping me. She was so unprofessional that another patient in the waiting room actually confronted her about her attitude towards her earlier. I only managed to check in because a kind patient in the waiting area overheard the exchange and left her seat to help me navigate the broken kiosk. Absolute lack of customer service. Avoid this location if you expect basic human courtesy. read more

I went to Labcorp in Greenbelt and it was the worst, the lady that took my blood was so nasty in her taking my blood, I believe she bruised and hurt me taking my blood on purpose. She needs to be FIRED. I will never go there again. I don't know where they get these lab techs from but she needs to go straight back to where ever. read more

The staff did such an amazing job for our12-year-old, neurodiverse daughter. They were quick and efficient, so kind and caring. They explained exactly what was gonna happen ahead of time, we're very patient and flexible. The blood work itself was painless and effortless, which was a big deal because my daughter was really nervous. I just can't say enough good things about the entire team! We especially loved working with Cherry at the front desk and Shawn for the blood work itself. read more

Sent here from docs upstairs. I usually do not use Labcorp but my insurance pays them 100% and this one was a few floors away. Upon entering this place it was apparent that it was jam packed, dirty, kids, adults coughing and shoulder to shoulder. Ridiculous. A VERY UN HYGIENIC place. People sitting against the wall ON THE FLOOR!! YES you read it correctly. The waiting room was full and no air circulating within the tiny space. The air was stifling and folks were coughing, etc. TG I had my mask on because no one else had on a mask even the workers. You could not leave the door open from the main/only entrance due to it swinging inwards and blocking another door. INSANE. They cut corners when it was built because it was poorly designed. The intake person did not know what she was doing and wanted a payment. Told her no payment because my insurance pays LC 100%. She was giving me grief and I said it again we do not pay. After waiting 20 minutes got back there. Phlebotomist did not draw blood from one arm and barely anything from the other. She did not know her behind from her head. DING DONG. NO SURPRISE. They DID NOT DO all the tests authorized on the lab slip they only did ONE TEST out of 8 on my doctors orders. AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY. They charged me $13 to puncture my vein!! HA. Blatant overcharge. My insurance company is investigating. What a rip off. How else can you draw blood if not puncturing your vein. NEVER had that problem at any other LabCorp but this Greenbelt location appears to be overcharging unsuspecting patients. STAY CLEAR OF THIS LOCATION because no one acts professionally, no one cares about the mess in the lobby and workers do not do their jobs correctly and could care less about ill patients waiting too long for their turn. Social distancing is not enforced because there is no one in the front office to enforce them. Long wait with only two clients so the crowd just grew and grew. kids running around - coughing and sniffles. No hand sanitizer stations but there are Biohazard signs everywhere about the dangers of applying cosmetics, etc in open areas but I guess urine samples on copy machines and shredder bins is completely fine. Was literally told just reach over it to gee a pen from the pen holder behind it. And yes, there's urine in it. That was my exit. But hear them tell it, It's applying lipstick - that's where the germ monster lurks. read more

I was really worried after reading some of the reviews. Specifically from parents about their experiences. I called this location this morning. The lady was very friendly. Told me exactly what to expect. And even made some recommendations about not coming during the lunch rush since I will have small kids. I was told I didn't need an appointment. Everyone from the front desk lady to the technician who took the blood was amazing. They took such wonderful care of my three-year-old and 17-month-old. I couldn't have had a better experience! I look forward to going back to this location again. And that's saying a lot because I have never had a pleasant experience at LabCorp before! These ladies are wonderful! read more

Worst experience ever. When I went in, there was no one sitting in the front desk and the nurse was watching TV shows or movie on her phone. She looked up when I came in but didn't say anything, then continued watching her phone. After I waited for a long time, the front desk told me to go to the draw room. The nurse reluctantly put down her phone and came to the room. She didn't double check my name or date of birth before she drew the blood, and didn't talk with me or explain anything the whole time. I am not judging but I doubt she can hold the needle still when I saw her long colorful fake nails. It just looks very unprofessional. And this was my most painful experience blood drawing. I don't recommend anyone to this site to do blood work. Worst experience ever. read more

My boyfriend needed some blood drawn as follow-up work for a potential endocrine problem. His new endocrinologist ended up sending him to Labcorp so that he wouldn't have to miss work to get blood drawn (since, at this Labcorp location, he was able to get an 8am appointment and still get to work by 9am). He said the wait time was minimal--he had six vials of blood drawn and was back on the road by 8:30am. He also saw the technician / nurse highlight all of the tests that the doctor had indicated on his order sheet, so he felt reassured that no tests were being missed. Also, he said the woman who drew his blood was friendly and answered his questions, and there were no problems drawing his blood, i.e. it didn't hurt anymore than usual or cause excessive bruising or anything. This was only a day ago, so I'm not sure how long it takes to get the results, but I'll leave an update once my boyfriend's doctor calls him back with the information. So far, he was happy with the overall experience. UPDATE (12/9/10): My boyfriend had his blood drawn on Nov 29. It's now Dec. 9, and part of his blood work just came back to his doctor yesterday or today, but the rest of it won't come back for another 2 or 3 business days for some reason. I'm not sure what the usual timeline is on these things, and I imagine it varies by the type of test, so I can't say whether the Labcorp wait times to get results are good or not. read more

I came to Labcorp today thoroughly expecting a bad experience. I've had several bad experiences with outside labs before- both Labcorp and Quest. With the reviews here, I was certain I'd be in for more of the same awfulness. Even though I had to fast, I went ahead and made an appointment for 10:30 am, because the website says they are most busy between 8 and 10am. My 3 year old daughter also needed routine lab work, so I decided to get it all done at once and booked her for 10:15. Expecting crowds and disarray- I was absolutely dreading it! There were only about 5 people waiting in the (albeit, small) waiting room. I signed in and was called to give my paperwork to the receptionist within 5 minutes. I was then called back, with my daughter, about 5 minutes after that. The technician who helped us suggested my daughter go first, to lessen her anxiety. She was GREAT with my daughter and I couldn't believe how fast and how painlessly she drew 3 vials. My daughter whimpered in fear, but stopped the moment it was over and even said it didn't hurt. The technician got to me immediately after, and again, was super quick and very good. (No multiple sticks or bumbling around- as I've experienced in the past!) We were out of there within 30 minutes of arriving. I was IMMENSELY pleased that the staff was polite, professional, organised, and honored our appointment time. Will go here again if I need to- though I will probably stay away from that early morning time slot again. read more

I came to this LabCorp on my lunch break without an appointment. I figured if they couldn't see me within half an hour I'd just try next week. I walked in the door at 1:20 and out at 1:39. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and got my information and paperwork immediately and assured me I would be seen quickly, even though I hadn't made an appointment. I only sat in the waiting room for 5 minutes before I was sent to a room. The phlebotomist was not nearly as pleasant or as professional as the receptionist. She complained the entire time and after poking me a couple times without success she blamed me for having small veins. Overall I give the efficiency 5 stars, the front desk personnel 5 stars, and that particular phlebotomist 2 stars. read more

The staff were not very pleasant. With the exception of the receptionist and the lab tech Stacey, they were friendly. The employee that logged in my information appeared to have a bit of an attitude and appeared to be annoyed. This was my first visit (and last) to this labcorp. This particular employee spoke to me as of I had been here before and seemed irritated when I asked here a question. She never looked at me or acknowledged me, like a robot. I just didn't like her attitude, I didn't feel warm and fuzzy here. The staff at the LabCorp in Laurel across from the hospital are awesome. They are a more mature group and are very pleasant and genuinely seem to care about the patient. Looks like I will be going back there. read more

Labcorp in College Park/Berwyn Heights was the WORST customer service experience of my life! The office opens at 7am but when I arrived at 7:05am there was already about 20 people there. I thought ok, if they have already started then these are probably just quick urine testers. Boy was I wrong! After standing around and chatting with each other, the front desk person finally started calling people just to show their ID at 7:25am. By this time there was standing room only, where even elderly people who needed help walking were crusing for seats. One poor man sat there for 30 minutes waiting to be called only to be told, "this paperwork is for Quest Diagnotics," I should have left with him! The front staff was rude enough to purposely mis-pronounce patients names and then openly laugh in their faces. When I was finally called to show my ID card and paper work, I explained that the paperwork had been faxed over the previous day from my doctor's office. The employees then debated with each other about where the faxed paperwork was kept and informed me that I should have called the previous day to make sure they had gotten it, because the fax machine was now broken and there was nothing they could do. In fact they actually turned away about 5 people within that time because they too had paper work which was faxed over previously, but was now missing in action. Getting blood drawn is already a stressful situation for me, but to compound with rude unprofessional behavior is just too much to ask. I would never go there again and will request a different lab to test with. read more

Worst experience ever. I had an appointment but still made to wait an hour past appointment time. With a one year old it's so hard to keep him busy in the waiting room. Especially when the entire room is full of people waiting to be called. All they had to say is we are short of staff today sorry. Anyways, when we were finally called in the nurse was rude and didn't even say hello. It was almost time for them to close and i guess nobody was in the mood to work. She grabbed my son's hand and started looking for a vein. She kept twisting his wrist until he started crying. She was so slow the entire time. She should know better when there is a 1 year old she is suppose to be quick as it's hard to keep them still. When he started crying she stopped and said she can't do it and i should reschedule some other day. I will schedule for some other branch but not here for sure! read more

I would highly recommend staying away from this place. It's completely unsanitary. When the tech tried to draw my blood, she didn't wash her hands, put on antibacterial hand sanitizer, or put on gloves. After I saw this, I wouldn't let them touch me and took my paperwork to get my lab work done somewhere else. read more

When she finally got around to addressing me, she had a scowl on her face like I was "intruding." She was not friendly at all. On another occasion, I had an appointment and still waited over an hour. I recently brought my 4 year old son to this Labcorp and was not pleased with the experience. The front desk lady, who is also the phlebotomist, was rude through the entire process. She talked down to me after she found out that I was "just a Medic" and she's an RN, or at least she said she was. After she got my son's blood she placed the alcohol prep pad back on the draw site by accident and put a bandage over it. I pulled the bandage off and replaced the alcohol pad with a 2x2 that was beside the chair because my son was crying that his arm was burning. She told me that there was no way that she put the alcohol pad on there so I showed it to her, still attached to the bandage, and she still denied it. I just grabbed my son and got the hell out of there and will never be going back. That lady needs to get over her delusions of grandeur, learn some customer service, or get a different job. read more

At approximately 7:30 EST this morning on June 3, 2013, I entered one of the Labcorp locations in Greenbelt, Maryland (Specific address: 7525 Greenway Center Dr., Suite 104, Greenbelt, MD 20770) and was rudely received by one of the employees, whose first name is Shea/Shay. This person is a female in her mid-30's and had an incredibly rude persona which I demand to be looked into for further investigation on how to obtain a better customer service experience in the future for all patients. I was so displeased with this experience that I contacted LabCorp Headquarters in North Carolina. I have been coming to LabCorp for several years and this by far has been the WORST experience I have ever experienced. Seeing the sign that had indicated that there office was to open at 8 am, out of courtesy I inquired whether they were open when I arrived (so as to provide them with more time if they needed it to get themselves together) She rudely snapped at me, indicating that "you came through my doors, didn't you?" and proceeded to ask for my insurance cards in a disrespectful manner without even saying good morning. While I understand that it is early in the morning, on a Monday at that, this does not give this rude and poorly trained individual the right to treat its customers this way. Not only was this a poor reflection of their own manners, but also a poor reflection on the type of customer service LabCorp has to offer. With other patients in the waiting area, they noticed when I provided constructive feedback for this disrespectful employee by the name of Shea and I urge you to look into this manner immediately. It would be my hope that other patients are not treated as poorly and I will be sure to spread the word to all my contacts on the lack of respect and customer-oriented employees working at this LabCorp site. Serious consideration on the monitoring of this site by corporate headquarter customer service professionals is required because it would be a shame to lose valuable customers as myself who simply are asking for basic and common courtesy which is obviously lacking in employees such as Shea/Shay. read more

I visited your location in Greenbelt, MD at Greenway Center yesterday afternoon with my two toddlers who are two and three years old. The visit went fine with my 3 year old. When it came to my two year old is a very young two as she just turned 2, the person drawing her blood asked for help holding her arm. This is a very small child. No actual help was needed. The woman at the reception desk came to "help" as she did with my 3 year old but with my 2 year old, I noticed she twisted her arm more and I wasn't sure why so I gently asked her to not to hurt her please. She must have take offense to my comment and told me how old her child was and that she wasn't gonna hurt my child. I never said she was hurting her, I was basically asking her to be a little more gentle. I'm a mother. I was speaking for my child who cannot speak. After, I made the request, the person drawing the blood stuck my daughter in her arm so hard that she immediately began to cry very loud. She seemed to have been more gentle with my older child when no comment was made. I felt it was in retaliation of my request for the other young lady to be gentle with my daughter. After they blood draw was over the receptionist walked out and threw her arms up in frustration. She probably thought I didn't see her because she did it in the hallway. Them the woman who drew the blood literally just walked out the room without saying ANYTHING else. I had to go find her to ask if she was finished. This was the most inappropriate and rude experience I have ever received in a medical setting. The two woman displayed absolutely NO professionalism or common courtesy to a mother of young children. They really should find another field of work. Especially the phlebotomist. Her behavior was horrid. I am still traumatized by the horrible experience and treatment of my daughter. I will never ever be back to another location. read more
