I visited on February 3rd and was taken to Room 2 at 9:40 AM for my blood draw. Unfortunately, I was VERY concerned about the lack of proper infection control practices by the phlebotomist. She used the same gloves to open the door, call me in, type on the computer, and then proceeded to clean my arm with an alcohol wipe. However, after disinfecting my skin, she touched the site again with the same contaminated gloves--completely undermining the purpose of disinfection. As a RN, I find this alarming. Proper infection control is critical in any healthcare setting, especially when handling blood draws. I hope this facility reinforces proper training to ensure patient safety and prevent potential infections. read more

My visit there horrible. The customer service was off putting and unprofessional. They were rude and I have to informed them how to proceed in locating my orders and how to retrieve it ,If its not there. They made me feel liked I was an inconvenience. During the ordeal they talked about me with another patient. Also I waited over an hour. So I reschedule another appointment with another center and it was wonderful. Professional and in and out with no problems. The sad case is I worked for the same company. read more

6/3/20 - Pleasantly surprised with my experience here!! Not sure why the negative reviews but the staff here deserve 5 stars. Customer Service, Hygiene, Blood draw, and location details below. Customer service: kind, attentive, and supportive. My labs wouldn't open in the system. They were so patient in the wait for the test to come through again and even offered a second solution (send via fax). Staff made sure all customers were tended to. Phlebotomist: Tyiesha did a great job drawing blood. She has a very kind and sweet nature about her! Even made small talk and showed interest. Facility was super clean and they wear and use their gloves/mask without fault! Super impressed with their responsibility. :) Definitely go here!!! Location: GPS takes you to the outside face of the building (facing Greenbelt Hwy & Wendy's). Take downhill walkway (see photo). Go straight through and look for "M1 - M7" signs. The absolute RUDEST staff I have EVER come in contact with in a laboratory setting. I literally had to bite my tongue and remind myself that going back and forward with a woman (a staff person here who was seemingly purposely trying to get under my skin) was not worth it. This office need to train these women on CUSTOMER SERVICE and how to properly treat the clients coming in and over the phone. It's a matter of BASIC customer etiquette skills at this point. Let me take that back... it's a matter of BASIC respect and treatment of people in general actually. Quest should be careful about who they hire to represent their company. Made an appt, checked in and waited for 30 minutes. People came in after me and were taken back. I finally asked when I would be seen and the tech, without even asking for my name, said that I was not in the system. I indicated that I was, that I checked in and that I had an appt. She then asked for my name and went away to check. She came back and said I checked in as a walk-in, which was def not the case. I reiterated my position, appt, etc and she told me, with a bit of attitude, to check in again. This is after a 30 min wait for an appt scheduled 30 min ago. She made no effort to accommodate me, and the whole thing was handled rudely. I left, having wasted over an hour on that experience. I have come here for years, with my entire family. I wish I could give zero reviews. First of all when you first get there it's confusing to find because it's in a maze of other buildings. They don't answer the phone because it's "so busy." And there's no receptionist. (I went on a Saturday btw) Second of all, you can only make appointments on the phone. Which I did for 9:45, I got to the place at around 9:40 but there was a family of 6 in front of me signing in (which you have to sign in on the ONE little iPad they have knowing they have a billion people that come in). So by the time this family of 6 signs in its 9:48 when I sign in. At the front it says appointment take first priority. HAVING AN APPOINTMENT DOESN'T MATTER. There was at least 15 people already there and I was put at the back of the list even though I had an appointment. I finally got taken back at 11 for 5 minutes to pee in a cup. AND THE LADY WHO DID MY TEST WAS SO RUDE. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVEN'T EATEN OR HAVE TO REALLY PEE. read more

I had a pretty good experience here. I didn't have much of a choice of where I got my blood drawn and obviously worried when I saw the reviews. No problems here. I made an appointment ahead of time, walked in a few minutes before and was in and out for my appointment. The woman who helped me was extremely friendly and nice and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I saw some people complaining that the place was hard to find.....no it wasn't. It was pretty easy....I think people just really wanted to complain for some reason. Everyone has a different experience I'm sure but this place is not worth 1 star. The only negative was that it took 5 days to get my results. read more

I will never get blood taken anywhere else. (Unless they hold me down and take it, or I'm unconscious....or...maybe if they pay me. Maybe.) What I thought was going to be some routine blood-drawing for a routine allergy screening test turned out to be a little more exciting than normal, but I'm so glad I was here and in good hands. My history: I can't fill a bag of blood when I try to donate, in fact, I usually don't get past halfway before I start passing out. I don't have a problem with needles, I don't stress over bloodwork and I have the most amazing veins. Not sure why, but I am a lightweight. Which is awesome because I never spend very much at the bar. I had 8 viles of blood taken for my allergy testing and I thought that would be a walk in the park because it's less than the equivalent of half of a bag o' blood. Well, maybe I didn't eat enough that day or the gods thought that they would have some fun with me, but I started to feel nauseous and I felt like I was looking through a TV with bad reception. Apparently, I was out for 2 minutes. OUT. I had all three women in that office helping me, talking to me, getting me water and calling a ride for me...I remember Ty, Mary and I can't remember the third name, but what a caring group of women! I was really impressed with their kind-heartedness. And they were hilarious. The back and forth I heard from the back room while I was resting made me crack-up. The circumstances weren't perfect, but the outcome was great because I was treated with such care. I definitely recommend this location. I hope they know much their care meant to me. I also got my results back that week - all negative. I guess I'm not allergic to anything. Weird. read more

OMG, horrible place! Stay away at all costs. First of all this location is not easy to find, because it is located inside a confusing and poorly designed 3 building, 2 story maze all of which are not clearly marked nor user friendly. And once you get inside the staff is so rude and dismissive it feels as if they are doing you a favor instead of their JOB! The waiting room is a joke, the personnel need more training to help them deal with the general public and not act so hostile. They need to take their frustrations out at the gym, and not taking out their frustrations on innocent patients just because their manager made them do something they did not like or give them a bad work schedule. Watch out for more problems when you check out because the lady who helped me refused to give me paperwork unless I gave her my credit card WHICH I NEVER HAD TO DO BEFORE, I found out later she ENROLLED ME IN SOME TYPE OF RX PROGRAM WITHOUT ME KNOWING AND WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I don't like having blood drawn, but this place was a best case scenario. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was in and out in 15 minutes and they took a LOT of blood. The interior was clean and organized and featured a lot of reading material. The only downside is that it was a bit hard to find in this business complex. You have to drive around to the right side and go to the interior courtyard. The signs are OK, but I could see people having difficulty finding it. There's plenty of free parking, though! read more

I scheduled an appointment at the 7500 Hanover Parkway, Suite 105C location for 8:30 this morning. I schedule appointments because I have very little free time. When I arrived at 8:15 am, the door was locked, lights off, nobody answering the door, and 3 of us waiting outside. I finally went to another lab where I had to wait an hour before completing my labwork. (The Greenbelt Rd team was very busy but worked me and the others who were left out in the cold at Hanover Parkway in as quickly as they could.) This is unsatisfactory! I came here to do some testing for my work. I set up an appointment the night prior. Upon arrival, nobody greeted me or anything. There were two other patients that were waiting before me & saw that there was only one worker at this place, so I was beginning to get worried that it would take some time. I was hoping that my visit would be fast because I had another appointment to go to afterwards. However, to my surprise, I was done & out of the place in less than 15 minutes. The lady who assisted me was polite. The bathroom may need some remodeling, there were some parts of the wall that was peeling and one of the faucet handles was not working. I went in for routine blood work that you typically get with an annual physical. Since I work in DC and have rather long days, I made the earliest available appointment so I would still make it to work on time (and not need to leave early etc). I arrived early, signed in and sat down. I noticed a sign that said "priority is given to patients with appointments" so I didn't think I would be waiting 20-30 minutes later. There were about 8 walk ins and 2 of us with appointments; however, the tech proceeded to call patients in the order listed on the sign in sheet, regardless of appointment or not. After waiting 25 minutes (and nearing the time I would need to leave in order to make it to work on time) I got up to ask the tech if she could give an approximation of how much longer, 5, 10, maybe 15 minutes until they would be able to see me. Immediate attitude. Apparently there were only two people working and she didn't know the sign mentioned appointments are seen first. She basically told me to sit down and wait. I appealed again, letting her know that if she thought it would take more than 15 minutes, I would leave and come back later. She nonchalantly sat down and said "we will call you back soon". I proceeded to scratch my name off the list and left. I understand you cannot always control how many people are going to show up as a walk in on any given day, but please don't post a sign informing patients if you have no intent on following it. A simple answer was all I needed to the first question I asked. I would have politely left and got to work 15 minutes earlier. Instead I stood there asking the same question 3 different ways trying to receive some sort of response. My doctor sent me to Quest but I will request Lab Corp next time, as I have not had any issues with them in the past. read more

They took my appointment right on time. The labs were done quickly without any difficulty. No pain from the needlestick.

Rude customer service sucks. No one greets you. On top of that your not allowed to use wash your hands after you give a urine sample and then you have to sign a sheet how f*ing gross. They are the worse lab ever. They entered my wife's information wrong in their system and did not give her results back online. They said we should request the results from her doctor. We understand every human makes mistake but the way they handled the situation was terrible. After asking them to fix their own mistake they hung up on us and did not answer their phone (probably by seeing our phone number). What kind of customer service is that!!!! I bled out onto the skin of my arm throughout the collection and when I pointed that out, the tech just said "That's just because it's a surface vein" and kept on going, collecting two more tubes as I bled. She didn't give me any special instructions afterward, and I found out later she should have immediately removed the needle when I started leaking blood to prevent problems, and given me special instructions for aftercare. Two days later I am still in pain. She She also asked me to sign a form saying that I had witnessed her label the tubes, and when I asked to see the tubes she said "I haven't labeled them yet." Then I just waited without signing until she labeled them. The New York Times has a good article with advice about what to do if anything weird ever happens during a blood draw so that you can protect yourself and prevent long term disability and pain. If anything weird ever happens again I will immediately tell them to stop. But it won't happen at a Quest because I will never go to a Quest again. read more
