Ya'll are assholes!!…read more Thank you so much to the team at Quest Diagnostics in Gilroy! I accidentally showed up to the wrong location for my appointment, and the lady at the front was kind enough to still help take me in. She truly saved me so much stress and time. Great customer service, professionalism, and kindness are hard to find these days, and I really appreciated the way I was treated. Five-star experience all around. Thank you again!

I tried calling to make an appointment but it's next to impossible to do. Their website and voice…read moremessage say that they were open until 3pm and that they take walk-in's. Apparently this is not true! I arrived there just before 2pm and there were only 2 people in the lobby. A very rude employee came out as I was going to check in and told me that unless I have an appointment I would not be able to be seen. When I asked why, she said they are closing and that one of the employees was leaving early and that would leave her by herself. I explained that I had just driven an hour to come there and she told me that the only way to be seen is to make an appointment. Why does this place say they take walk-in's if they won't see walk-in's. She told me to go to another location. When I told her she needs to take down the sign that says "Walk-In's Welcome" she just said "Ok, thanks". She was very sarcastic in all her responses to me. People don't go to Quest because they are healthy. I have serious health issues and had just driven over an hour to get there and they refused to see me because they wanted to go home early. So unprofessional, especially for a health care office.

PLEASE . . . . a fasting lab that does NOT open until 7:30am????! What the heck? Fasting labs…read moreshould be in high gear by 5am so people can get to work or school on time and so that diabetics can eat their morning meal on time. In line waiting for this lab to open were also people who had driven up from Hollister because Quest closed their Hollister facility and they needed to do the drive before rush hour when the roads headed toward San Jose get gridlocked. So they need the lab open as soon as possible in the morning. Now for the positives: The techs doing the blood draws were super nice and got the needed blood sample on the first venipuncture (something not common with my puny veins). Once you were called back to the blood draw area everything went super smooth. Final note: I HATE the check-in kiosks. Everyone behind you in the long line of people waiting for the lab to open, could see my driver's license and insurance information as they are required to be scanned from a platform clearly visible to others. So much for securing your private personal information. You are touching a touchpad surface that is not cleaned between users (hoping the last person using it washed their hands after using the bathroom) and no way to ask questions (like is this test covered by my insurance). Had a recent experience at another lab where the person checking in could not read at all and was just confused and another elderly person spoke and read Lithuanian so the English or Spanish check-in did not work for them and of course this site has no HUMAN at the desk. High Tech is fine for many, but many also want or need High Touch assistance.

Staff is friendly however there isn't anyone upfront to answer check in questions which makes it hard for seniors. They have a small computer screen to sign in on that can be complicated to use if your not fast enough or have questions.
