This Quest location is terrific. I have been here a handful of times over the years--before, during, and after the pandemic. The parking lot, while small, is easy to navigate and offers plenty of tree canopy shade. There is a well-managed feral cat colony that lives back there as well. I have always received excellent service, and today was no exception. I checked in for my appointment and I was seen right away. My phlebotomist, whose name started with "Sh" but I regretfully can't remember the rest, was faced with fact that I was dehydrated and my order required several vials to be collected. She did an expert job of painlessly extracting the necessary amount of blood anyway by using veins in both of my arms. Pro tip: drink plenty of fluid before a big blood draw. read more

Worst customer service ever. We wanted to drop off a urine sample and the office made us wait an hour while taking other walk-ins ahead of us. You can hear the workers in the back screwing around talking about who owes who a smoothie. Honestly this location needs to fire their current employees, hire new management and new employees. Morgan Hill doesn't have a lot of options for labs so it's a shame that Quest has decided to take advantage of the lack of competition by working their hardest to make their customer service the most deplorable out there. read more

I got there yesterday at 8:45AM, just to pick up a stool sample test kit that my doctor ordered. He needs the results asap, as my severe condition may require surgical intervention. They line was long and no appointments were available, so I registered for walk-in standby. By 11:30AM, I wasn't called or even acknowledged, so I had to leave. I didn't need blood drawn, only to pick up the kit. I didn't need instructions, as I've used the test kit a few times before. If I could give them negative stars, I would. I still don't have my kit and my doctor is still waiting. read more

Made appt on phone's automated system beforehand. Check-in at kiosk went smoothly, Shemiran helped us. She's friendly, calm, and found the two sets of tests ordered by two doctors. Third doctor wasn't Quest (system) compatible, so we'll have to take care of that somewhere else. She found a good vein right away. As smooth an experience as one can hope for getting lab work done! I went in for a blood draw on October 6, and today, 20 days later I've still heard nothing. I created an account and none of my information can be found. I've called, and there's no prompt to leave a message. I was told by the tech Thai could always leave a message - but I don't think she knows there's no prompt for a patient to leave a message only medical professionals. My doctor has heard nothing as well. There is a positive. When I went in, they didn't have my doctor's order yet, so I waited while my doctor faxed the order and then they did the draw. But since I've heard nothing, it's 1 star. read more

This location is the WORST! After waiting for al.ost 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment, I was told that they didn't have my lab order. The technician told me to call my doctors office to have them fax it over, which they did, 3 minutes later. The technician after receiving the order proceeds to tell me that she can't help me because there were no appointments left and that I needed to reschedule. WHAT!? She told me that my time had elapsed and couldn't help me. I told her I waited nearly 30 minutes past my scheduled. But because they received my order "late", and because one of the other technicians was leaving early so they would be short staffed. This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Who ever manages this office needs to get your shit together. Patients should be your number one priority regardless whether or not an employee is going home early, or if you've received a lab order late, you make adjustments to service your patients. We go to this location whenever we are able to get an appointment. Office staff is very friendly, office is clean. Particularly I want to recommend Brittany. My daughter who is 16 is very scared of lab and needles, however she is always happy if Brittany is around. This morning I had an appointment, I arrived on time but unfortunately dr had not marked particular tests on the lab order. Brittany was very helpful and willing to take us later as walk in if dr can email the order directly. In the past, at a Los Gatos/almaden area location I had run into very very rude staff. I was 7 mins late and not only refused to accommodate me but also kept me waiting when I requested for walk in. I saw 2 reps sitting and chit chatting making no effort to squeeze me in. I had already signed my name under walk in but after 1 hour of waiting when I asked her she said "I told you before I won't take you without an appointment ". I am so happy that there are good lab technician in some locations and I am happy to go there even if that is far. Cheers Brittany keep up the good work!! I have been taking my mother to this place for few years and while they're always busy, they took the time and care with her. The recent couple of visits however have been absolutely horrible. There is a new Asian worker who is absolutely terrible and has no people skills at all. Will be telling friends and family to take their business elsewhere and not at this location anymore. As a nurse to have to wait 20 mins to drop off a lab that I have drawn is dumb for every reason in the world. I have done the work for you. It takes 2 mins to accept the lab and let me go. Arrived and they said they will not perform my test for 2 hours because they have a policy that they do not do it until 7am. Where is this policy published? I attempted to call yesterday and there is nobody you can speak with, and now I'm going to miss bus to work! This is ridiculous, I have to have this test performed today and now have to sit in an overflowing office for two hours because they won't take the few minutes to administer this test! Update: After an 80 minutes of pain and they were willing to go ahead and take me. Their 9am policy needs to spelled out on website! read more

I went here 2/16/23 as a walk around 7:30 am. The 2 women working here were incredibly nice; they were so sweet to the elderly gentleman they were helping before me and were equally as great servicing. Employees like this, who care greatly about their jobs, are hard to come by. They should be recognized and awarded! I didn't make an appointment for the handful of times I have been there. The appointment times offered were too far in the future. If you do show up when they open, be prepared for a wait, especially on Monday. They do move through the customers pretty quickly and appear genuinely to care about treating people nicely. One other recommendation: make sure you have your test order or that they have a faxed copy ready to go. Otherwise, your trip may be wasted (this happened to me a couple of times). read more

Never Again - I hope I don't need to go there again. Went in the AM, one other patient, 3 staff. Signed in, etc.and said my doctor sent the order over via online system and faxed. They checked, didn't have it. So I sat down. 15 minutes later, asked again. (Interrupted the 3 employees conversation about class schedules and covid.) they all glanced at fax machine and said 'nope. So I called the doctor they confirmed it went... This happened 2 more times in an hour! The staff person said' have them send it via (medical online system) ' I said they did. That's the first words we exchanged when I arrived. She looked at her computer.... Hit refresh... And said, oh I see it. Really? So frustrated with the incompetence. read more

They're a very busy location. I made it on time for my appointment, but I still had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. My appointment was the earliest I could set it for 8:30AM and when I walked in, it was already crowded. I barely managed to get a chair to sit in. It's nice that they take walk ins but you'll probably have to wait quite a while to be seen. It would be better if they moved to a larger location because it's too small and too little staff for that many people who need to be tested. Regardless, I feel that the phlebotomists are very professional and nice. They do their best with what little space they have. I feel like the do a pretty good job drawing my blood but I also have pretty palpable and visible veins so I don't think I've ever had a problem with being stuck. On the other hand, I don't think the receptionists there are ever very friendly the couple times that I've been but maybe they're tired of dealing with rude people all the time? read more

In the past the service I admit was not good at all. Today I showed up for my appointment and I was attended right away, within 10 minutes I was on my way home. Everyone seemed friendly and courteous. The lady that helped me Courtney or Correy, sorry I should have paid more attention to her name, was fantastic. Unfortunately I've not had the best experiences lately. Rude and dismissive techs. This am was the clincher. Apparently keys were lost, so we waited outside with a good 10 other people. When we were finally key in at 7:30, not a word, no explanation, no excuses, no apology. When confronted about that, the tech says she has nothing to say and there is no manager to talk to. A simple succinct apology would have settled everyone down. However we have to keep coming. No one wants to be here, be pleasant at least. read more

I usually went to Quest Diagnostics when I lived in RI for my blood work. When my doctor ordered a test done, I was happy to know there was a QD lab right down the road from me. I was also very worried with all the bad reviews but, wanted to give them a shot anyway..(get it? a "shot"?) I made an appointment, as I usually do, and showed up about five minutes early. About 15 minutes in I am handed some paperwork to fill out. About 5 minutes after that I'm escorted into a back room. There was a little hold up trying to get the correct fax number for my doctor but, all in all, I was in and out in about 30 minutes. The woman who helped me was fantastic and even very patient to the fact I'm not great with needles. And when I asked for the butterfly needle, didn't hesitate to grant my request. I was worried by the reviews but, it seems QD is all well and good in my book- east or west coast. read more

I experience a great deal of anxiety when it comes to needles and the staff in Morgan Hill has been really caring. There was some question as to what was covered by insurance and Cheyanne got on the phone with the doctors office to check codes. In the meantime, Katie, did the blood draw and I did not feel the needle!!! I have had blood work done in the past and have never been disappointed with the staff. Thank you for all you do. I must get lucky every time I come here as I've never waited more than 5 minutes and I've never made an appointment. I usually come in the mid to late morning. I've been getting blood drawn every 3 months to check my cholesterol levels for about a year now, so I've been here 3 times now. The staff is very nice and personable. They offer soothing small talk as they get in your veins. I hate needles and they have made me hate them less. They've never missed the vein and before I know it, I'm out the door, no problemo. Make sure you remember that they close for lunch daily from noon to 1. My last stop in I found this out the hard way. read more

I was immediately seen by Hong who greeted me with a cheerful smile, very professional and made me feel at ease through the entire ordeal. I was out by 3:07. A lab that doesn't practice social distancing during the Covid outbreak?? Our experience was disappointing. Understaffed and not monitoring the waiting room, so it was full of people sitting next to one another. The lab tech made us give her our insurance card even though we have it on file from all prior visits, claiming she couldn't find it in the system. When we expressed concern that she was handling the insurance card without gloves she dismissed them with the comment 'things are about to start reopening, get ready for the new normal. Quest Morgan Hill needs a receptionist. On 3/4 I had an 830 am appt. On Quest's website they indicate that I have a 10 minute grace period. I arrived at 835am. When I opened the door there were 5 people waiting in line at the check-in terminal. By the time it was my turn to check-in it was 8:53am. The terminal advised that I needed to reschedule later in the morning. I tried to do that and the terminal kicked me off twice. I spoke to a phlebotomist 1 of 3 and I explained my situation and she blew me off and said you have to come back later. So now I had been waiting 40 minutes. A second phlebotomist, who was courteous listened to my situation and she was able to set a new appt later, but said "wait and I will fit you in". A 3rd phlebotomist, came to the front and called a gentlemen before me, and I stood up and advised what transpired and this person began the same exact script that the first phelbotomist stated verbatim. The gentleman stood up for me and told her I had been waiting a long time and he was after me appt wise as his appt was at 920am. It was about 9:10am. The 3rd phlebotomist replied you have to come back and make another appointment. I walked out. 2 of the staff have poor customer service skills, are terse, rude and unprofessional. These 2 phlebotomists are just technicians. The one phlebotomist has good interpersonal skills was courteous and she is bilingual which is a plus. After 50 minutes, i left irritated. I will go to San Jose to another company and will avoid this location after 30 years. read more

This was my first (and last) visit to this lab. I had an 8am appt. for the one-hour glucose test. I arrived at 740 to awaiting room full of people, but got my drink before my appt time, which seemed promising. At 5-minutes to the hour mark, I let the receptionist know I was approaching the hour mark. She didn't even look up, just said ok and told me to have a seat. At the one-hour mark, they called 2 people back for non-timed tests. I let the receptionist know I was at the hour mark, and was informed I'd have to wait because there was now no phlebotomist available. At nearly 15 minutes past the one-hour mark, I was finally taken back, and at the 75-minute mark, my blood was finally taken. Guess who gets to repeat the one-hour glucose test because of the 15-minute delay skewing my results. No apology, no explanation, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was informed there isn't one. Which may explain the way things are run... read more

At 10:15 one staff takes a break and leaves and you can hear all the other staff in the back room gossiping. Now it's 10:25 and one person at desk and one being drawn. What baloney. At 10:40 it's our turn, yippee-NO. It takes 40 minutes, actually 50, to do three blood draws? Where I work you'd be outta there. read more

This place is very inefficient, especially Monday morning. It is hard to make an appointment for the time you desired even you try a week ago. The usual wait time is well over half an hour. The staff were nice in general. But the lady in charge is very bossy and mean. She is always multi-tasking : work on computer, talk on the phone and also chatting with patients she knows. As the result, she is holding everyone up. Been to other quest, this one is the most inefficient place. read more

This place has really gone downhill in the last 2 months. All the olde timers have left. The receptionist is downright rude, the billing office seems confused and not just by my insurance. The latest is they lost my blood sample. When you go monthly for dire labs this is a huge problem. I have a private PPO and will be taking my services elsewhere. I feel fortunate to have choices. What's so sad is that while you are waiting to have your blood drawn you hear all the employees complaining about various things. How they are understaffed, under payed and the newest handling of the blood blood samples where they "throw all the tubes into a big bin and lose samples." Had an appointment at 10:30. At 10:45 still sitting in waiting area. Person comes in front door and asks question about drug testing. Receptionist spends 15 minutes helping him out. I had an appointment! Why can't you help me? 30 minutes after my appointment time they take my insurance info and then again I wait. I had a conference call at 11am so I drove to this quest location because they had an appointment at 10:30 so I wouldn't miss my call. Finally took me in to room at 11:10!
