Booking my appointment online was simple, and check-in was quick and easy. The staff were fantastic. That said, the office environment itself was quite shabby and in need of attention. This isn't a criticism of the staff, but of the cleanliness and upkeep of the space. The walls were very dirty and worn in every room and the office felt disorganized. Didn't look like the space had been maintenanced in a very long time. Most concerning, the bathroom door had no lock -- a real issue given that patients are constantly coming and going for urine tests (I actually walked in on someone using it). It made me question whether the lab area meets the same hygiene standards, if the visible parts of the office aren't being maintained. I don't say this to be harsh, but I hope the owner takes it as constructive feedback: investing in the physical space matters. I tried calling to make an appointment but it's next to impossible to do. Their website and voice message say that they were open until 3pm and that they take walk-in's. Apparently this is not true! I arrived there just before 2pm and there were only 2 people in the lobby. A very rude employee came out as I was going to check in and told me that unless I have an appointment I would not be able to be seen. When I asked why, she said they are closing and that one of the employees was leaving early and that would leave her by herself. I explained that I had just driven an hour to come there and she told me that the only way to be seen is to make an appointment. Why does this place say they take walk-in's if they won't see walk-in's. She told me to go to another location. When I told her she needs to take down the sign that says "Walk-In's Welcome" she just said "Ok, thanks". She was very sarcastic in all her responses to me. People don't go to Quest because they are healthy. I have serious health issues and had just driven over an hour to get there and they refused to see me because they wanted to go home early. I made an appointment over the phone last week, using their automated system. I walked in this morning 1/2 hour early and told them my name, the lady behind the counter said that she had me scheduled :D and that I would be next "note there was 8 people ahead of me and I was 1/2 hour early". Came in for my morning appointment and no less than a minute upon entering, the technician (friendly too, I might add) confirmed my name and appointment and called me I to the room. In and out in 5 minutes. The previous location had me wait for nearly 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment, then decided that they could help me because I was past my appointment window. If I could give zero stars I would. I was a walk in and I wish they told me from the beginning I had to wait until a no show. Instead they lady working there told me that she didn't know how long I had to wait but if sign in the system will tell me. I got there at 11:10 and when I signed up it told me my appointment was at 11:40 - I decided to wait. At this pint there we no patients waiting at all. It was just me. It was 11:40 and someone came in and got their blood drawn. I waited until 11:55 to go ask what time will my turn be because at that point she took another patient that just walked in. I assume it was ok to ask since I though that person had an appointment too. Then she told me I had to wait until a no show even if the system told me my appointment was at 11:40 and she wouldn't take me until a no show. Called 4X over the space of three days to try to schedule an appointment. Each time I was unable to get through to even talk to someone or attempt to schedule - line was busy. Several times the call just abruptly dropped. Finally, I drove over to the facility because they said walk-ins were welcomed. The facility was locked and no one responded to my inquiry despite the fact that it was10:30 AM on Monday morning!. I even tried calling the other facility and Gilroy and had the same problem. My daughter and I had to go dor blood works at Quest Diagnostics on Wren Ave. in Gilroy. I'm WARNING all walk in patients not to go to this Quest location. Phlebotomists take time doing one patient. Didn't really care how long the walk in patients wait. They should just put a SIGN on their door that they don't accept walk ins rather than make them wait FOREVER. We arrived in the lab at 10:00 AM and one of the phlebotomist explains to the walk in patient that is waiting that it will take more than an hour wait time because they have to go to lunch (and it's still 10:00 AM). Both the 2 phlebotomists are explaining the same thing to each of the walk in patient that comes in. I was lucky enough to be called after 45 minutes of waiting and I notice that phlebotomist also register the patient before drawing their blood. This is very time consuming. I used to go to Labcorp and patien's registration there is at the front desk. It's very convenient and fast. But according to the QUEST plhebotomist "it gets chaotic if they do it that way". I also work in a clinical lab in a hospital. Registration is different from the lab and it's not CHAOTIC. Our lab has STARBUCKS card and very apologetic when a patient waits. This lab, they DON'T CARE about the patient waiting. The three walk in patients that went there this morning all left. The last one was my daughter that left at 12:10 PM. She was never attended even if she waited more than 2 HOURS. It's a good thing that she didn't FAINT because she was fasting. Very inconsiderate phlebotomists. read more

The worst service and the rudest employees. I went to the lab at 10:30AM and the place is empty. The lab worker told me to make an appointment for the next available time. I diabetic and was fasting and getting dizzy due to low sugar and asked her to please do my lab work sooner if possible. Her answer was that we are going to lunch at 10:30AM. A family member needed a tox screen for a court case to prove they were not using drugs. At the time of testing it was specifically requested that the report state EVERY DRUG & CATEGORY that was tested for. The report merely stated "No Drugs Found." This was meaningless for legal purposes, as we needed to show that certain & specific drugs were actually tested for. A total waste of time and money. Hours spent on the phone got us nowhere. I went to the wrong Quest (there are two in Gilroy) and so when I figured out I was at the wrong one, I ended up being 5 minutes late for my appt. I apologized to the person in the office (She was the only person there) and she said what time was your appt? I explained- and she said sorry I cannot take you now, you'll have to reschedule. I replied again that I was sorry and could I wait (as there was NO ONE else in the office, and she said "no, someone might come in" and sat back down. Talk about a rough morning. So I fasted, went to the wrong location (totally my fault) and then was turned away once I drove across town, despite there being no one else there. Upon arrival at this location the staff was friendly and helpful. This location was out of supplies necessary to complete the test but Jennifer not only called near by locations, she drove to Morgan Hill to pick up the supplies needed. It's taking me 5 trips for what should have been 2. They did not put me in the system and file my lab request. They also did not call my doctor to find out an answer to something they needed to know. Having just moved into the Gilroy area I needed to find anew lab for blood work, and had used Quest at other locations in the past. This one had mixed reviews and I decided to take a chance any way. I'm glad I did! My experience was very positive. I had scheduled online for a 9 AM appointment and arrived at 8:50 to check in. I was called in just a couple minutes, and taken back to the lab room at about 8:55. The draw itself was quick and easy - just a small pinch. Quest lab is horrible in every way. Just so you know Labcorp is 700 W 6th St E, Gilroy.They are fast, friendly, competent and THEY WILL TAKE Quest LAB ORDERS!!! I was being tested for a medical condition twice a week for almost 4 months at Labcorp. Once their computers were down and I was STILL in and out under an hour. Most of the time it's under 15 minutes. I've not seen one MD in almost 2 years because I hated the reality of having to take a fasting blood test and wait hours at Quest. She sent me another and I went to Quest anf there were at least 15 people with 5 people not crossed off in faith took it to LC, and they accepted it. Don't bother going to Quest Diagnostics - even if you have an appointment - you may wait 2 hours to be seen. Poor management, double booking appointments. If you miss your appointment time by minutes you will be out of luck. By the way, no where is this posted! Obviously Quest Diagnostics has too much business and can't treat all of their patients - so go to the other medical diagnostic company - unless you want to 2 hours waiting to have a blood sample taken. I can not believe this lab even exists. DO NOT GO TO THIS LAB!!! I took my 9-month-old baby over for a blood draw. I made an appointment at 11:30 and wait till 12:25 pm. When I checked in, the front desk lady was like crazy busy and she told me the waiting period will be more than 1 hr. I said I have an appointment. She said, Yes, one hour. Two techs work on my baby's blood draw and no one can find the vein. Even they insert into my baby's arm, they still can not find the vein. They keep injecting for about 1 min. My baby's entire arm was bruised. In the end, they still didn't find the vein and gave up. The tech asked me to come over and they will be having an experienced tech who may find the vein. I can not believe that. I thought you are all licensed technician. If you can't find it, why don't you just say it in the first place. Another thing is, they left all blood work out in a warm lab temperature. You could find the Blood Collection Tubes with blood or other tissue samples everywhere. The trash can is right behind the blood samples. I think I should just report to Health Surveillance Agency. Dirty, nasty place. Terrible! read more

My daughter is wheelchair bound with brain cancer. She goes to this facility with scheduled appointments multiple times a week for critical blood testing. Today, they asked her for her insurance card which she did not have with her. They have never asked before except on her first visit and she had the card at that visit. The insurance company (Aetna) is current on all past visits and there is not an outstanding balance. She was turned away because she did not have the insurance card with her. No they did not take her in and ask her to bring the card later this week at her next visit and all future visits. They sent her away without taking her blood. They really need negative stars up here! Worst experience ever! My husband went in for a drug screening. Was talking to the assistant that was doing the screening he was wearing a watsonville sweater and she asked him "oh where's a good place in Watsonville for a chavela?" My husband told her a spot and then left the office. Her co worker that he wasn't even talking to decided to go into his patient records and get his number so she could text him. The first message was "hey I hope you don't mind that I'm messaging you" his reply said what's up thinking he forgot to sign something but no she then replied "oh nothing I wanted to hit you up because I thought you were a cool person" then when I got on the phone to confront her her story had switched to oh he gave me his number and told me to hit him up. Come on girl you just said I hope you don't mind me texting you. Thirsty ass whore. Then she proceeds to tell me she has a man and a 3 year old, but yet your hitting up my husband because you think he is cool people not to mention going into his private patient chart and getting his number. She told me I could call her manager and gave me her friends number to call. I ain't stupid I work in the medical field for over 8 years this is something that s so huge on patient privacy and HIPPA. I took it to the corporate office and thank you corporate office for taking care of this situation on a timely matter and letting her go. It shows that your not always gonna get away with something. Although I can't comment on their service, my complaint is with their driver. On 18DEC14 (around 11:15 AM, on 1st street, Gilroy) I observed one of their drivers tailgating other drivers, cutting in front of other drivers, making a right turn from the far left lane (crossing over two lanes), and cutting other drivers off to do it. I don't know if this driver was drunk or if Quest Diagnostics has a policy of letting its drivers sample some of the medications it delivers but this erratic, dangerous driving was putting everyone at risk. How do I know it was a Quest Diagnostics driver? The person was driving a heavily branded white car. read more

Now I know exactly why this place has such bad reviews. I came on saturday and got there at 1104am, there was a few people standing outside. A lady walked out sayig that the door had been locked. The lady working, Sandra, said they were closed. I said that on the web it said they were open until 1pm. 2 other people had said the same exact thing. Sandra said that she knew and she had contacted someone about it. On the door under hours for saturday, it had the sticker numbers scraped off. There was nothing on opening time and a piece of paper saying 11am for closing time. The people in front of me waiting outside had been there about 10 minutes before 11, but they locked the door way before 11am apparently. There was about 6 people that came after me including a lady that drove all the way from Hollister. But Sandra did not care about customer service.
