Forced to wait 40 extra minutes for no reason other than staff error. The staff could be heard more than once laughing in the office behind the door. When I was finally seen by medical staff, they did not introduce themselves. The first person, who I assume was a nurse of some sort, was extremely surly to me. She inquired of my symptoms; despite speaking clearly, she cut me off & instructed me to speak slower as she was "a bad typer" while trying to enter my symptoms into their computer. Fever, chills, vomiting, cough, muscle fatigue and soreness were my symptoms. They don't seem hard to input. When I advised of an allergy to erythromycin the nurse had never heard of it and tried to convince me i was allergic to something else, she tried to insist I meant azithromycin. Which is not the same drug and interacts differently with the body. I had to spell erythromycin for her. She then took my blood pressure, temperature and put a monitor on my finger but gave no explanation to me on why anything was being done. I had to specifically request to be tested for type A flu, despite telling them I was in close contact with someone that was diagnosed with it. I was then seen by a physician's assistant. She did introduce herself but was also surly in her demeanor, it felt like they didn't want to provide care or empathy to me as a patient but rather just get me out the door as fast as possible while providing some diagnosis. I had to specifically request a flu anti viral as well. The only reason this review is two stars instead of one is that they did honor my request for the anti viral. Though the physician's assistant did try to talk me out of it for specifically NON medical reasons. And I quote "It's expensive, and you don't have insurance" At no time did I ever get to speak with an actual medical doctor, the PA was completely unsupervised in her activities. I would recommend going somewhere else if you want a decent level of care and empathy. As well as if you want to be treated in a timely fashion. I personally will not return nor EVER recommend ANY Beebe Medical group facility.

It was a weekend and my provider is closed. Isn't that why people use urgent care? I am in healthcare and his attitude was inexcusable. If you don't want to help people when they are sick--find a new job. I've been to other Beebe facilities and have been treated much better.

Letter sent to Quest after my experience at their Dover facility on 8/2/2021:…read more I am a long-time Quest patient and have always touted my satisfactory experience, as compared to LabCorp. And I would like to take the time to report to you my experience at your Dover location today and why I'm never going back there ever. I arrived at approximately 8:25am and was 3rd-in-line at the entry kiosk (or whatever it's called) where patients type themselves in. No Quest employee was in the room. An elderly man was trying to enter his information and seemed hopelessly lost and confused, tho to his credit, he kept at it. After awhile, the lady in line directly behind him attempted to render assistance. She too became confused and a woman in the waiting room got up and assisted. She returned to her seat but then had to get back up and assist the woman as well. [Your data entry system is confusing. There needs to be a person from Quest there to assist.] I entered my info at ~8:40am and selected the earliest appointment option, 9:20am. I went out into my car to kill some time. At about 9:05am i returned. At about 9:10am another person was called whom the Video Display on the wall indicated had the same 9:20am appointment time as me. At 9:15am a man came in, entered his info and stood waiting. He was called back almost immediately. 9:20am came and went. I am the only person in the waiting room at this time. 9:25am. At this point I am agitated and decide to stand at the entrance of the phlebotomist alcove to prevent them from ignoring me any longer, or another patient waltzing in and past me. At about 9:40am i am called back to Cubicle #2. To my misery, it's Wait-Some-More! The phlebotomist who directed me became engaged in a clerical help session with the phlebotomist in Cubicle #1. After almost 10 minutes of listening to this back-and-forth, I could no longer contain myself and called out, saying something like "How 'bout you take care of me and then go back to your clerical work because I GOTTA GO!" They acted like they didn't hear me, continuing, but for less than a minute. My phlebotomist was then abrupt with me but did her job. I will never go back. Ever. Nothing at LabCorp was ever as bad as this experience.

It makes sense, but I actually thought it was mostly walk-ins. It's funny, also, how long these scheduled appointments took! Lots of chatting going on. I say I should have known better based on a previous experience. I arrived after work and was there about 20 minutes before closing. Wow was she ever agitated with me! Luckily she got me taken care of in about 5 minutes. I was grateful she told me about all the paperwork she still had to do after I left. I SO enjoy having an illness and hearing all about the trials and tribulations and how very much I am inconveniencing the phlebotomist. A real class act this employee is! (Said with utmost sarcasm!). What a difference a kind word would have made in my day. Happily, the hospital doing the rest of my testing today can also perform the blood test. I will never go to Quest again.

Two check in kiosks but one was not functioning but there was no signage saying it was out of order. A few people, including us stood at the kiosk and tried to check in to no avail and no one who worked there came out to check it even though the line was going out the door and the waiting room was filling. There was a woman who did not speak English trying to check into the one good machine. We tried to help her, and 10 minutes later, we got her checked in and we were able to check ourselves in. Behind us another individual came in that did not speak English, and he acquired assistance from another patient waiting behind him. I watched approximately 10 more people come in and the line was building up. My parents were able to go back rather quickly because we got there before the rush. We were walking out by 7:30 AM. Other individuals after us said that they were being prompted to make appointments; the first woman who was there at 7:20 was given the option for an 8:30 AM appointment and the gentleman after her was pushed out until 9:30 am. Both of those individuals walked out with one saying they'd come back later and the other went somewhere across the street for his labs. The entire time the other kiosk stayed nonfunctional. There was one person in the back doing blood draws and 1.5 people working the desk, verifying insurance and collecting copays. I understand that Seaford is a small area and hope individuals need health care will have more options and providers available to expedite services. Side note: this location shares a parking lot with Planned Parenthood, so don't be surprised if you see people out on the curbs picketing. When we left first thing in the morning, there were a handful of people on the main road to the entrance with pro-choice signs. Keep that in mind if it's something that triggers you.
