My expierence with Atracare although brief was long enough to realize they weren't for me. A lack of privacy at check in. It's crowded at the entrance door and people can easily see your information and the two people at the front desk are preoccupied and barely look up while you're trying to figure out their electronic check in . Many of their elderly patients I'm certain have difficulty with this method of checking in. There is no medical staff that greets you other than the MD himself who performs all the pre appointment checks( BP weight etc) normally done by a nurse or assistant This actually limits the actual time spent discussing your real issues or the reason for your visit,They suggest that it gives them more time with the patient but it does not.They could spend more time doing what the patient is there for by having these things done in advance of there coming in. Bedside manner is lacking as well as thoroughness and timeliness. When having difficulty with a prescription it took 4 days for them to respond, the second time I needed a prescription after two days of not hearing from my pharmacy I called to find out that it had not been submitted but sitting on the MDs desk to review when it was he who suggested the prescription. Now a days I personally do not have enough time left in my life to wait for these people to get a handle on things. I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with this office, primarily due to the front-desk administrative staff. I was initially told I would not be able to see my previous provider, even though I had received confirmation by text from the office. When I came in to sign the required release of information forms, the staff member I spoke with was dismissive and rude, even though she already knew I would be out of state for a week. Only after I showed her the message from the office did she go back and confirm with the provider, who agreed to see me after all. Later, when I arrived for my appointment at the new office on Coastal Highway, the same staff member was there. I arrived five minutes late after driving in from out of state, which the office policy allows to be waived once. I completed all paperwork, but she never checked me in. As a result, the provider came out and took another patient instead of me, even though my appointment was scheduled first. This was extremely frustrating and anxiety-provoking -- especially for someone seeking behavioral health care. The dismissive attitude and lack of basic administrative care made the entire experience feel chaotic and unsafe. I left feeling unsettled rather than supported. I strongly believe this office would benefit from trauma-informed customer service training, especially when working with mental health patients. Front-desk staff play a critical role in patient experience, and this one interaction made me decide not to return. read more

My family has visited this urgent care center at least 8 times this year. Today, I brought my sick 2.5-year-old child and was informed of a $179 copay, even though we've always paid $30 per visit in the past (insurance has not changed or even reset for the year). The center has "changed its policies", now requiring patients to pay upfront for services that will be processed through insurance, with patients responsible for seeking reimbursement. This approach does not reflect the level of care I expect and seems to take advantage of patients during their most vulnerable times. Nearly $200 for 3 minutes of the doctor's time is absurd. I really enjoyed the providers here but will not be returning. read more

Came here early and was FIRST in line. The people behind me did NOT have appointments either. The one woman registering people was faster than the male training so they end up registering 3 people ahead of me when I was first in line. This place is a joke. The woman at the front was so rude and said "I can't see who is first in line outside" - even though they had us line up when we came in. I told her I was first and she argued with me saying well that's too bad I don't have control over the order. I have always appreciated the cleanliness, professionalism, friendliness and thoroughness of Atracare. At my last visit I needed to address my new job requiring a list of all vaccinations and immunizations I had ever had. I had long ago lost these records. I was ready to be repeatedly poked like a voodoo doll. After some research Don and Julia were able to find this information. What I thought would be lengthy process, took about 10 minutes! The matter of refunds once your insurance company has paid these pseudo professionals you are entitled to a refund. Really grateful for this urgent care! When I was on vacation to Rehoboth, we stayed close by and I woke up with a condition that I knew I needed to get medical attention for. I did a quick google search and came up with Atracare. Finding an appointment online was quick and easy. When I arrived, I appreciated the clean waiting room and quick check-in process. I was seen by competent nurses to take my vitals, and then the nurse practitioner on duty was really great and thorough. My symptoms were too early on to guide me to the ER or not, but she gave me the tip to go to Bayhealth if I needed and not Beebe, as Beebe would be really crowded but Bayhealth is newer and not as popular yet (ahhh I'm probably giving away a top-notch local secret!). She was right because the next day when I did need to go to the ER, Bayhealth was excellent and I had great medical attention there. I believe there is an X-ray machine there, but it wasn't working at the moment, and they don't have the ability to do MRIs or CT scans or anything advanced like that. However, Atracare was overall great for a quick consult and I really appreciated the bedside manner of my nurse. Would highly recommend this urgent care to locals and visitors alike for great medical care. read more

Ensure that your visit is scheduled as a regular doctor's visit and not an annual physical - I was going to check up on one particular issue, and they told me it was a physical -- it was awkward because they had told me this was a physical half way through the visit. As a result, I wasn't able to get my physical as I would have liked, e.g., fasting, with my primary care, etc. I requested an urgent care appointment (urgent care is fine) and had requested a refill of my prescriptions because they had given me a physical (that I did not request) - they told me they could not refill my RX because I did not have established care here because I requested my records - I asked for clarification and they said once you ask for your records back, you cannot come back. Odd, because when I called Aspira, they said I could get the refills while I was there for my urgent care visit. All together, this place is decent for urgent care, but if you are expecting top notch service with a good bedside manner - this is not the place to go! Consider going to elsewhere! read more

AMAZING. I couldn't give a higher rating on this place. I was in town for a week for a beach vacation from Texas. Backstory: I had a sinus infection the week before and I started to feel better but with traveling, different air, etc. I woke up the first day there and felt so much worse. I could have went and got over the counter medicine but knew that would take longer to recover and I wanted to enjoy my beach vacation. So I was hoping to just get some steroids. I researched around and this was the only place that didn't charge like an emergency room. I called and they had appointments all day available, got there within an hour, filled out minimal paperwork, waited in the waiting room for maybe 10 minutes. Nurse took me back and checked my vitals and said the doctor would be in shortly. 10 minutes later, Kara Back NP came in and was incredibly nice and basically gave me the steroids no PROBLEM. We live in the 21st century and the scheduling "technology" you're using, combined with general ineptitude of the testing process, is asinine. My tax dollars are paying your salaries with the subsidies you're receiving from the government for the test kits and somehow, you're the only facility that in Rehoboth that has rapid tests . I can't imagine ever giving an urgent care five stars but this one earned it. I had to do a walk-in in a Wednesday morning with a bad ear infection. I had to wait an hour (which my experience with urgent care is a SHORT time for walkins) and was given excellent care. What sets this place apart is it is by far the FRIENDLIEST urgent care I had ever been to. The whole staff was just delightful - and not just to me but to everyone. Reading all the reviews and feel so bad for this wonderful place-what a bunch of entitled folks with too much or free time on their hands. For starter, we have been dealing with Aspira since they've opened. My children are the patients of Dr Childers since birth. They have fabulous pediatrics department. We had to deal with their urgent care several times and never have had an issue. Well, extended waiting time is a common issue in Sussex County-because the area infrastructure cannot possibly support all this new construction, so yes, there is way too many people and too few doctors and facilities - be prepared to wait. At least once you are walking in they give you a reasonable time frame what to expect, if it is too long you always can go somewhere else. With their vaccinations and handling Covid- for Christ sake give me a break- they were the only private place who jumped in and started doing something and it was impressive how organized, quick and flowless the whole process was- both me and my husband are front-liners and we did get our shots through Aspira on the first day vaccinations got opened for the public and even on the first day the system was working! So, my advice, instead of bashing the business for not being able to refill your prescription through urgent care-get familiar with the procedures, if for you middle of pandemic and holidays is a lame excuse for being busy-go check ER-the average wait time is 4 hours, on Christmas morning I have spent 8 hours waiting in ER with my 2 y'o who was running 103.8 fever. People, set reasonable expectations-this is not a large city facility, it is a small town business in a brutally underdeveloped area, they do their absolute best and definitely don't deserve all this negativity! I usually do not write the reviews, but their rating on yelp just caught my eye by accident, I have decided to check why all the sudden they have such a low score and I am heartbroken and peaced off because I strongly believe it is unfair and unjust. read more

Did not feel week Monday am. Went to Aspira for a rapid test. Even after it was negative Sarah took the time to check me and ask some questions. A few days later I was worse and when I called they suggested I come in for an IV hydration and be tested to see what could be wrong. what a wonderful way to book an appointment at 2AM!! Using their website it will direct you to see who and what time is available for a morning or afternoon appointment!! LOVE IT!! A Rapid COVID19 test was done and for my reassurance a 2nd test that takes days longer was also done and results will be delivered to you via phone call. They take me step by step process of signing in while I sit in my car before I can be seen by a nurse. They are pretty prompt! read more

I hurt my knee and was in pain. I have recently moved to Delaware and do not have a primary care physician. I went to Aspira and was glad I did. Front staff welcoming and helpful. I made an appointment for 8 a.m. and they opened a bit early and got me right in. NP came in shortly after and helped me with my knee. Could not have been nicer. Great experience. Totally wasted my time. Sat in the virtual waiting room for nearly 45 minutes before someone messaged me that I needed to send my insurance card. I had already listed that I had no insurance in the uptake form that they send before the appointment is to start. I scheduled my appointment 40 minutes before it was to take place. They had 40 minutes of lead time to figure this out and then left me in the waiting room for 45 minutes. When I wrote back to them to tell them I had uploaded my license as instructed in the initial intake, they never wrote back. Now my issue continues and they wasted an hour and 40 minutes of my time, including having to write this review about them. What a waste of precious time... read more

Went today and if I could rate them higher I would. They were so friendly and nice fromt the first contact via texting off their website to the medical assisant and nurse practioner. All so nice and helpful. They even have theiir own in-house lab, so they can test for so many things and have tests back within an hour. I will defintely be using them in the future for any Urgent care matters. read more

I needed an urgent care for my 1 year old while we were on vacation. I was able to quickly communicate with the office and told to come in. I expected it to be an all day event from my experience with other urgent cares, but the staff was kind and quick. We needed medication and had to switch pharmacies once we realized the first one was closed and the the doctor very quickly sent a new script over. I highly recommend this office if you ever need an urgent care in the area. read more

I saw Robert Barwick PA and he was wonderful. I tested positive for COVID and he gave me: A thorough exam, prescribed medicine and he seemed genuinely concerned about my well being. Sure, there are sometimes glitches in the process, but this facility is picking up ALL of the slack from a multitude of other Beebe medical practices that can't keep up, and they are doing a fabulous job. This place is the best. From check-in to check-out everyone is so nice and helpful. What you need to do when you arrive is clearly posted on the front doors and if you have any questions all of the staff are willing to help. I have been there now 4 times for separate appointments for myself and family and each time it has been great. The staff worked me in on a Sunday evening for rapid COVID testing as well as analyzing my immediate symptoms. They gave me suggestions for medications I could purchase over the counter to relieve my discomfort and told me if my symptoms became worse to not hesitate to call them and they would work me in. read more
