Any over all impression can so easily be swayed by the courtesy of the staff. A greeting is such a simple and easy thing to do yet Dover seems to cultivate an overall climate of disdain for common courtesies. Maybe it's just generational and today's employees have a complete lack of awareness but either way, it always detracts from the overall experience. I choose to do business with companies that have thoughtful, courteous employees whenever possible. My blood tech walked into the room, went right by me and asked bluntly, "Name and date of birth", like I was in the Army. No greeting, thank you, have a nice day, not even eye contact. Makes you feel like you bother them for just being there. The reception wasn't remarkable in that department either.

Had an appointment at 8:30 am didn't get called to desk until 8:50am. I asked the woman at the…read moredesk if my doctor sent the orders in. She said no. I thought this was odd because I was getting reminders from Lab Corp to schedule an appointment. How did they know to send me the appointment reminders if they didn't have the orders. I was instructed to take a seat in the crowded lobby and email the orders. Because I had to get to work, I decided I would just walk in another Lab Corp on Saturday. When I got to my office I looked up on my doctor's portal website and the lab work orders were SENT to lab corp. Honestly, the woman at the desk appeared to slow to respond to my questions it was a weird situation all the way around. I am going to get the tests done hopefully early on Saturday. But this is probably my last visit to Lab Corp the service is slow and always lobbies are always packed. CLOSING the SMYRNA DE location made their services worse. QUEST Diagnostic, here I come. It's time to try something new.
