I was told if the scheduled caregiver can't be there a replacement would be sent..twice this week no one showed up. I contacted the answering service. I got no call back. Looking at back invoices I was overcharged 12 hours one day. 15 hours another day and on the holiday at $52.50 an hour the caregiver was a half hour late, I was still charged for the scheduled shift. The Nurse Next Door has been an amazing experience since day one. The NND team are professional and very well trained. I live 2 hours from my mother and my brother is about 40 minutes from her house; this agency has given us the peace of mind that mom is well taken care of while honoring her wishes to stay in her home and 'age in place'. The caregivers do everything from day to day chores around the house, cook meals, grocery stop, light cleaning, they take mom to all of her appointments, lunches and almost anywhere she wants to go. They even offer a monitoring system so I can check on my mother to see how long she has been laying in bed, or sitting in her favorite chair.
