When I showed up for the appointment, I was able to check-in at the Kiosk right away. Once I checked in I only waited about 5 minutes before I was called to the back to hand in my prescription for my blood work. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Next, I was directed to find an open room and to bring my prescriptions to the technician. Once I was in the room, I only waited about 2 minutes before a technician entered. She asked me for my information to ensure I was who I said I was, she entered my information on my prescription into the computer system, and then she got everything ready to draw my blood. Lastly, she had me rest my arm straight out on the chair cushion while making a fist, she checked my arms for a vein to draw my blood from, tied the tourniquet around my upper right arm, cleaned off the area she was going to draw my blood from, asked me politely to breathe out while she inserted the needle into my arm, untied the tourniquet from my arm, and then she told me I can relax my fist. Other than the tiny pinch when she inserted the needle into my arm, the whole process was painless and quickly done. She finished filling the collection tubes with my blood, grabbed a piece of gauze, applied the gauze lightly over where the needle was inserted into my arm while removing the needle, held the gauze onto the wound until I replaced her fingers with my own, applied a bandaid over the gauze for me, and then she explained to me when I could expect my results to come back. The process was quickly and efficiently done. I am very satisfied with how my trip to this Labcorp went.
