Unfortunately very disappointed in my 2nd visit to CityMD. I went previously when I was COVID…read morepositive on Christmas Day 2023 and they put me on PAXLOVID immediately and I got better quickly. I assumed this was the usual level of treatment. This occurrence, I was fairly certain I had an exposure to LYME Disease, I was tested for COVID, Lyme, Babesios etc. and assured if my results came in over the Holiday I would receive the correct treatment from CityMed. My test results came 3 days after the visit. I could not reach anyone to discuss the results, they assured me that someone would get to me over the holiday. My symptoms were rapidly worsening, barely able to stay awake. I took the initiative to get into a local physician before they closed for the holiday on Wednesday. They listened to my description of my personal prior experiences with Lyme and immediately prescribed the correct course of treatment. As soon as I got home, my test results appeared from the testing lab, which indicated past and recent exposure to Lyme. My results are still NOT posted on CityMD's portal. I just called to ask why and why I have not heard from the attending physician. In complete contradiction to the statement that I would receive correct treatment if the results came in over the holiday. They stated that due to the holiday my results would not be reported to CityMD. I told them I had the results and the attending physician was listed on the results. I asked why they could not call her to discuss the results, as I am waiting to see if I need further treatment for a co-infection with another tick borne illness. They told me that the physician was not in the office today. I was not calling to complain, as I have started the correct treatment for Lyme Disease, however to let them know that there may be a software glitch between CityMD and their lab partners. The results are still not posted and not available to the office staff, CityMD medical staff or me through their portal. I asked about the possibility of what would happen if someone with a test for a more life threatening did not have their results posted when available and they said it would be the same as my situation. Not available to them on a Sunday, as the attending physician was not in the office today and the lab office staff is off on Sundays. I find this pretty disconcerting and feel that anyone seeking treatment at CityMD should be aware that there could be gap in treatment. At this point I would be untreated 5 days since the results came in and possibly more, as the results are not posting and I do not understand who reads the results as the attending physician is just on a rotation basis. You cannot communicate with the attending physician for follow up. Who does the follow up? Very strange to say the least.
