I recently brought my one year old there for his routine bloodwork. This place is very clean and the receptionist was kind and friendly. I liked that the rooms were private and the one we were brought into was decorated for kids (Had Sesame Street Characters on walls) The woman who did the blood draw was very nice and patient. My son barely even cried. (Which says a lot for a baby!) I would recommend this LabCorp. read more

I go here only because I live locally. The receptionist has no personality and barely makes eye contact. My son is insured by three ins companies but their system can only take 2. The receptionist told me it will be my problem to submit to the third ins co if the other two don't pay. I gotta find a new lab. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at LabCorp. We had a scheduled appointment but still waited over an hour in the lobby. While waiting, I watched multiple patients ask the front desk for help understanding paperwork or for assistance with their children's tests -- some of which seemed urgent -- and they were completely ignored. Even worse, I overheard staff talking about these patients behind their backs, saying things like "common sense isn't common." Another patient in the lobby stepped in to aide those with questions. When we were finally called in, the phlebotomist left the room multiple times to service other patients, which dragged out our visit even longer. I even tried to lighten the mood by chatting with the phlebotomist to make the situation less awkward, and she ignored me completely -- not even basic courtesy. On top of that, the conditions were unsanitary. I work in the medical field and I know what a clean, professional environment should look like -- this was not it. Altogether, we spent nearly an hour and a half just to have two simple vials of blood drawn. Completely unacceptable for a facility that's supposed to provide professional healthcare services. Really disappointing guys, do better. read more

Positives: the friendly receptionist, punctuality and the 2nd phlebotemist who worked on me to get blood samples.... this is after being stuck 4 times (twice in each arm) to no avail by a very unfriendly and aggressive technician who was throwing things around and into the garbage can. Even though I was still stuck 3 more times with the replacement technician, she was professional and finally able to get enough samples for the vials. My right arm is completely bruised. I left bewildered. This is their only job, yes? read more

My wife and I have been using quest for over 15 years for our needs. Recently my wife had surgery and for the past 7 weeks the visiting nurse service takes blood and brings it to Labcorp. In the past seven weeks on 2 occaisions we never got the results from labcorp at all despite contacting them. One time we got the results in 1 1/2 days, another time 4 days. Whenever we got blood taken at quest it never took more than 2 days and we never had a situation where we never got results. BTW we are using their App. If you have a choice Labcorp or Quest, I suggest strongly you utilize Quest, The visiting nurse says they are contracted with Labcorp only, Which is not the case becuse the service is owned by Atlantic Health and our Drs. always send us to Quest and the drs offices we use are Atlantic health. read more

Honestly, I was a little wary coming to my bloodwork appointment this morning, given all the terrible reviews of this location. I am here to tell you not to be nervous! I was recently diagnosed with POTS among other conditions that cause dizziness and fainting. The staff was extremely understanding and accommodating. Every step of the way, they made me feel cared for and safe. I was in and out of the office within 15 minutes. Highly recommend. read more

This is the third time in a row that I have come to this location where things seem to be literally falling apart at this location. The wait times are 2-3 hours and some times there is only one person working. Today, all three check out kiosks are unavailable leaving the already overburdened staff with having to check patients in manually. There were 18 people waiting in the waiting room that has seats for only 9 people. This location use to be excellent. Even if you didn't have an appointment and there was a wait things moved right along. Over the past 1-2 years things have really declined. I would highly suggest finding a new location for your lab needs. Who manages this location? I think they need to be spoken to.. read more

They stabbed my five year old 4 times, in four different places, and still didn't get to fill all five vials. They had to switch techs halfway thru, and my cheerful inquisitive son was basically ignored for all his curious questions, yelled at and told to sit down. I tried to leave after the third attempt, and he said no sit back down. The employee up front kept yelling at other patients to lock the front door (do they work here now??). At one point multiple patients were banging on the glass, and the employee was yelling back at them. At one point the customers were threatening to call the cops on this employee. She was wildly out of control. She couldn't figure out my son's prescription, and called a friend from her cell phone; screaming about my son's prescription for everyone to hear. (HIPAA, anyone?) We were there almost 2 hours, and my son was so stressed from all the needle attempts and all the screaming going on, that he actually threw up. Mamas, do NOT take your children here. Service here has always been spotty. They posted a note on the door saying they now open at 8 at this location. Online it says 7 so I wonder if this lack of care is at all labcorp or just this one. I am a type one diabetic and have issues with hypoglycemia driving more than the 5 miles this one is while fasting is scary.. labcorp all about the profits never the patients. read more

I don't know why this place only has 2 1/2 stars on here. Every time I go there they are nothing but nice. There is barely any wait time. I'm in & out in 15 minutes or less. The location oils use a bit of a facelift, but beyond that they are great. read more

The SLOWEST AND RUDEST people... I waited while they chatted and had lunch. They were not friendly and made us feel like we were bothering them... Patients come here feeling sick and scared of needless and afraid to get bloodwork done ... I use this location as it's convenient, being very close to my job and I get in/out quickly because I make an appointment. This is the 2nd time that I've had the same technician and she caused me great pain both times. I'm a hard stick and need a butterfly needle, she jabbed it in me today. Next time I go, I'll ask for someone else if I see her coming at me. This will be a huge ugly bruise and is still very painful, she must have hit a muscle.They used to have a great technician that got me nicely on the first try, but I haven't seen her the last few times I've been there. Labcorp doesn't have a great reputation so they should really work at improving their patient experience. read more

We brought both our teenagers in for bloodwork this morning. On arrival the woman who checked us in was polite and courteous. The nurse who took their blood had absolutely no bedside manner. She seemed annoyed at them and seemed to scold them for not knowing that they had to sit down or keep their arms straight. Note this was the first time they had blood drawn in years and they were nervous. A little kindness would have gone a long way. read more

The people that work here are terrible. They are rude and do not belong in the medical field.. Most people go here when they aren't well.. how about a little compassion? How about a smile? How about caring about your job? Bottom line every person that walks in that door should be treated like they are a PATIENT.. after all, they are!! I have been to many locations - the old one in Riverdale, the one in Wayne, and now this location in Pompton Lakes. By far I have had the best results here at the new Pompton Lakes location. I did the mobile check in - did not have to go inside until it was my turn which is excellent during these tough pandemic times. I had my two children with me who also needed blood work done for their yearly physical. Danielle was awesome, I mean truly made the experience better. She got the paperwork in fast, and off to the blood draw room we went. She was very gentle with all 3 of us, especially my youngest who is very stressed during blood draws. We were in and out in 25 minutes, yup you read it - 25 minutes from arrival to departure for all 3 of us. Excellent job, thus you get an excellent review. And none of us were bruised in any way, you barely felt anything when she did the draw. Will always go to this location. read more
