LabCorp overcharged me for my lab tests and is making me jump through hoops to fix their error. My doctor sent a prescription for blood work. I wasn't goin to use insurance so I called and got a good faith estimate in writing from LabCorp. I went to the facility to get my blood drawn and let them know I would not be using insurance and I had a good faith estimate. They had me pay that. I later get an email to pay my bill. The statement says I owe another $1,300. I called and got passed from department to department to get it fixed. Each employee had a different story of why I was charged. One person said my doctor asked for more testing. I asked my doctor and she said she never asked for anything more than what was sent in the beginning. I am then told to email my receipt with what I payed and the good faith estimate to the email they provided. I got a response to call one of the numbers I had already called. I emailed them back to forward my email to the appropriate department. They emailed saying the only way to change my statement is from a fax from my doctor. I will now be contacting the state since they have gone well over their good faith estimate and this violates the No Surprises Act. read more

Incompetent and rude. I went to LabCorp for bloodwork because I thought that the phlebotomists would be experts. Teresita B. was definitely not. It took two sticks. The first one included her rooting around, looking for the vein. As a result, I ended up with a big bruise. No apology. When she went for the other arm, I REMINDED her that I had already TOLD her that I have small veins. Reluctantly, she finally used a butterfly. Then, she repeatedly berated me because the tube wasn't filling up fast; could it be because I have small veins? read more

There really should be a no star option. This was the WORST medical experience I have ever had. I don't even know where to start . Let me start with the ONE positive, the young lady that drew my blood was an angel she was calming and sweet and patient, she even asked me all about the book I was reading to take my mind off of the needle. I have nothing bad to say about her. Now let's get to the rest of the staff shall we? I walked in and waited patiently at the front desk , I am having a serious medical issue that doctors are trying to figure out so I was told to go here. I also suffer from extreme anxiety which was already high from being sick and then seeing the waiting room packed. Suddenly the girl behind the desk without even looking up barks "you have to check in at the stand and it will be an hour wait" ok strike one I already didn't like her. I did as I was told and about a half hour later she calls me in to handle my insurance and payment once again not even looking at me or being polite. I was then told to go back out into the waiting room to wait. Well I sat there one hour and 45 minutes waiting to be called and I noticed people that came after me going in before me so I went back to her and asked what was going on . I could tell by the look on her face that someone had screwed up my paperwork and overlooked me. She then said "oh sis you give me your paperwork and pay already "? Well maybe if you would have looked me in the eye once you would know I did as I was the only person there with flaming red hair and covered in tattoos. She then quickly said go have a sit in the back. At this point I'm furious but tell myself it's almost over. I sit there and again people after me went in before me so now I'm going to lose it. I stopped a short Indian (I believe) and said what is the issue because at this point I'm here two hours. She then asked me my name , looks me dead in the eye and says "oh yeah I called you about ten times" really?! Really?! I o told her she was a liar as I was there the whole time and no one called me nor did they text me to tell me to go in as they are supposed to. I didn't leave that sit the entire time, not even to use a bathroom! She literally just walked away from me before I could rip into her which was about to happen. Thankfully the one person with a brain and compassion who I mentioned earlier called me over right away. To the horrible employees, if you see this you chose the wrong profession. People that come in are SICK, some of us are in pain, some of us are terrified because we have been put through test after test and are basically waiting to hear if we have a death sentence. This location (Hamburg Turnpike) needs a better solution for calling patients from the waiting area. I sat there for over three hours waiting, two of those hours were after receiving a text message saying the technician was ready to see me and for me to wait for my name to be called soon. After two hours I went to the front desk and spoke to Gessica and she claimed "we called you like 50 times" and I explained to her that I was sitting right here in the left corner of the waiting area. I also explained that it's hard to hear them call your name from the back room or from behind the glass window because they have a television on, children playing and adults in the room talking. I kindly suggested that they should use a intercom system or at least come to the door way and call patients names and that's when she became very defensive and started to tell me that any of that would be impossible because of how many patients they see each day. I am disappointed and disgusted with the way the situation was handled and I definitely will not be coming back to LabCorp for anything. The only positive in this review is that the phlebotomist did a great job drawing my blood and in less than 2 minutes I was done. read more

Avoid at all costs. Wasted 1 hour of my time. Stopped by on the way to work without an appointment. Ask about the wait time and been told 30 minutes. One hour later I inquired again and been told that It will be another 30 minutes because I did not make an appointment. Had to get a bunch of blood tests today. Went to Quest first and the young woman who took me in had no clue what she was doing. Kept telling me to call my doctor so he could explain his orders. Doctor's office wasn't open yet. Frustrated with her, and after being there for an hour, I left and went to Labcorp. There was a lovely human at the desk who helped me immediately. Melanie, the phlebotomist who drew my blood, was really pleasant, understood the doctor's orders with no problem, and caused minimal pain while taking six vials of blood. I was really anxious because of the aggravation at Quest but Melanie calmed me with her gentleness and great attitude. I highly recommend this location. read more

Went there to drop off a specimen. Lady at the desk was nice and told me I had the wrong container. She told me to come back the next day and I didn't need to register again or wait in line. The next day, some other lady was at the desk. She told me no, I had to register again and wait my turn. As I was waiting, I heard her say to a guy that he didn't need to re-register. What? The mean moody lady, proceeded to call everyone in the waiting room one by one. I was still waiting. Finally, after 20 minutes, the mean moody lady got up and went somewhere. Some other lady took over, called me and said I could just drop off the bag in a basket....I could have done it right away, but the mean moody lady needed her daily fun. 2 weeks later, I have yet to receive the results. Is there any supervision at this joint? Obviouly none whatsoever. read more

Couldn't have been a more pleasant experience for getting a blood draw. Got there without an appointment waited 15 minutes saw tech - Chrissy - and before I knew it I was out of there. Total time 1/2 hour. Just unusual way of getting in and out our parking lot. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

The staff here is so pleasant which is so rare! Such a pleasure. My "go to" place when I need blood drawn.

The technician who was trying to draw blood on my 9 month old son had fake nails that was at least 2 inches long. Needlessly to say, she couldn't get it done. Her co worker couldn't draw the blood either. 45 minutes of heavy crying for nothing. Check with your insurance company and go to a hospital lab that is in your network. We ended up going to saint Joseph's in Paterson and got it done with very minimal tears and pain. read more

This was second lab we tried for our son's blood work. Our son is young and very apprehensive with needles. The first lab quickly disowned after seeing resistance and asked us to goto children hospital so that he can be physically restrained. We called labcorp and asked if they can accommodate walkin . They allowed and two of there lab assistance spent time and talked to our son and completed the lab work. Though our son threw a tantrum, they were nice and understanding. At end of it, our son walked out telling us to that he is no longer afraid of needles. read more

I agree with others, the younger black girl is extremely unprofessional and makes me question what is she still doing there. I never had such painful experience in my life and i've had plenty of blood drawn before. She tortured my left arm for 5 min without success, I was almost screaming in pain. I had to ask for someone else. The 2nd older white lady did a quick painless job thankfully. If you go there ask for an older lady to draw your blood!! read more

I normally don't go to this Labcorp, and now i never will again. The front office was fine. It was the woman who drew my blood that was the problem. I just wish I saw a name tag so I could express to others not to let her draw your blood. Ive had blood draw ALOT in my lifetime. Ive never had it HURT before. Yes, its sometimes uncomfortable, but never have a felt full on PAIN! This woman put the needle in and was moving it around IN MY VEIN. i had to fill 3 viles and everytime she changed them out...pain. You don't move a needle around whilst in someones arm! I'm leaving this review after notifying a customer service rep from Labcorp that I would be doing so. Today I went in to the branch in Wayne located at 307 Hamburgh Turnpike. I was met by a friendly rep at the front desk and asked to enter and leave my specimen in the clear bin at the end of the hall. Once at the bin I noticed that the other specimens had the same clear medical type of SEALED nylon bag. I asked the employee/nurse in the rear (older short female with salt and pepper hair with an Arabic accent) if I can have a similar bag since I only have a regular grey bag and didn't want my specimen to get mixed up. She stated that if the bottle was marked with my name to just leave it in the bin. I began to tie the top of MY bag as a precaution so I would not get mixed up. She grew agitated at that and aggressively said "JUST LEAVE IT IN THE BIN" . So I did, she proceeded to direct an explicit curse word in Arabic in my presence toward me. It took a couple seconds to register, I walked back and informed her in Arabic that I also speak Arabic and am filing a complaint. Folks, this is a laboratory handling your health concerns. I asked the supervisor if there are cameras on the premises and she said no, I have no faith in nurse at this location. She could have done something to the sample out of spite since I confronted her. STAY AWAY !!! read more

Went here recently to get an annual blood test. The lady who did the paperwork was friendly and polite. On the contrary, unhappy with the lady who did my blood work. I have donated blood about 8 times now and have been getting annual blood check for about 7 years in a row and have had most people doing my blood work tell me that I am the easiest to find veins and that makes their job easy. However, the lady who took my blood sample bruised me big time and since she wasnt doing it right, blood was slow so she was tapping at the injected site which was damn hurtful. When I said it was painful, she said she doesnt want to inject needle again and continued carried on with what she was doing, tapping and collecting blood sample. She was apologetic, however, wish she was a bit more patient in the first place and actually understand it hurts people intensely when tapping at the needle site. Of couse, this is my first bruise from blood ever and hope this would be last as well. read more
