I had to do a 2.5 hour glucose screening with 3 blood draws. I'm terrified of needles and Elly was amazing. She made me feel so much better and not scared. My appointment was on time and everyone else was awesome too. Will definitely come back here if I need more lab work in the future! read more

This was the most painful blood test I have ever had and now I have a horrible bruise. Don't think I will go back to this location ever! read more

Labcorp - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Encinitas, California

I had a terrible experience at this Lab Corps. Upon entering for the first time, the receptionist was immediately dismissive toward me and just asked me to write my name and sit down without asking me why I was there or if they could help me. While I was in the waiting room, I observed one of the front-desk employees accidentally charge a customer due to a computer error and telling the customers to just keep an eye on their credit card bill to see what happened. After waiting for thirty minutes, I went back up to ask if I was in the right place and it was only then that they took the time to see if I was where I should be. After waiting another twenty minutes, I was brought in to get my blood drawn. The woman who took me back and drew my blood was boldly rude and brash. She asked me which arm I wanted to get the blood drawn from, and when I hesitated, she seemed very angry and she grumbled to herself. She then proceeded to aggressively tug one of my arms, wrap it, and poke me with the needle without warning. Especially considering that I am not a fan of needles, this was a very uncomfortable situation where I felt vulnerable, unsafe, and disrespected. This is a situation where a little customer service could go a long way. I would never suggest going to this location of Lab Corps, as it was a very bad experience and negatively effected the rest of my day. read more

Very unprofessional. Phlebotomists supposedly lost or didn't turn in requested lab work. I will contact BBB about their conduct. Happened two different times. read more

I have been going here for years. We used to bring my mother in law when she visited each winter for 6 weeks to have her blood tested for a heart drug she took. Always, easy quick and efficient. If memory serves we were always walk in. These days I have been going in for my mother who has frequent UTI's and when I need to get in I always feel desperate because a UTI makes her dementia extremely worse. The staff is always understanding and compassionate. read more

Maybe it's a requirement for all Labcorp employees to be rude to all the customers. The service has been very poor at every single one I've been to. read more

Made an appointment online two days ago, fasted, arrived, checked in 30 minutes before my appointment. After waiting 30 minutes, and they didn't call me at 1145 for mY appointment, I asked the front desk receptionist if I would be called soon bc I have an appointment at 1145. She told me no bc I am not even checked in. Really? Nor does she show me having an appointment. I have a text confirmation even. So now, I have to wait for the appointment people to be putt through before thhey can ddraw my blood. Next time, I will use the laboratory at Scripps! Much more professional! read more

Very unorganized. Wait for walk-in was over 2 hours wait today. This is apparently not unusual. I'll find another location next time!

I have been a patient of lab course of the last 15 years I have used all three locations in Encinitas. I finally got to the point where I'm so frustrated that I decided to write a review. SAXONY LOCATION - there's only one person to run the entire lab. She is the receptionist, filing clerk, and lab technician. Computer systems are so outdated and slow that it constantly is creating problems for the customer. She is so overwhelmed due to the way the supervisors have staffed the location that the wait time is prohibitive. EL CAMINO REAL - at this location, there is one receptionist and one lab technician. Their computer systems are so slow and so outdated that they often have to call the doctors office to get authorizations. The wait times are often so outrageous throughout the day that is impossible to get seen. Please be advised that on many occasions the lab technicians of showed up late. Creating a huge backlog. SANTA FE - this location is identical to the two locations above. Space there is no better service or Computer system to make your visit convenient. *Be advised that the understaffing and lack of technical support is purely the fog of the local supervisor. **The only way to correct this situation and not feeling like a herd of cattle trying to get help is to ask your doctor to please refer you to a different lab for your bloodwork. read more

Garbage!!!! They skip over you all day! Made my mom wait with low blood sugar for over an hour. We are still waiting over an hour later with people coming in and out over us. Never again. read more

I had a GREAT experience at this particular Labcorp. I've had to go there every few days for the last few weeks for a hormone panel to be done so I've been quite a regular! I was always in and out of there very quickly, treated kindly and the place is recently renovated, very clean! Very happy customer! read more

Waited for an hour, kept telling me there was one person a head of me. Went to the front and they said now there are two people ahead and can schedule me right after?? How do you forget people in line like this?? read more

Very rude and condescending over the phone while I was very cordial and professional. I guess when you ask them a question about their services they expect you to already know the answer. Just pathetic. read more

This place is trash there rude as hell and don't have a system so everyone just cuts you. I never do bad reviews but I don't recommend this place at all save yourself time and go somewhere else. read more

The Labcorp at the Encinitas location is top shelf. I have been to the Vista location and they are a mess. This is my go to place for lab work from now on. read more

I want to let you know what a blessing coming into your location was. Nicole at the front desk was so attentive and helpful. I had been turned away from another blood drawing facility after booking an appointment with them. Upon walking into this lab Nicole said unfortunately we can't help you either because we don't take your insurance but proceeded to get on the phone and call my insurance company on my behalf explain the situation to them and get the answers I needed. I had to leave because my son became ill, but Nicole took my phone number and followed up with me later in the day. This is the BEST customer service I have ever experienced at a medical facility. Thank you! Just thank you! read more

I had two blood draws from Titiksha Parekh both were excellent! She was very professional and caring. I hate blood draws but she was great. read more

So far I've been sitting here for 15 minutes and they haven't even asked for my paperwork! It's going to be a long day. Location and parking are ok, but it is very obvious that front desk staff is incompetent. People around me are complaining about how long the wait is and desk staff just ignores us. read more

Since re-opening, I have had to come to this facility 3 times and all 3 have been totally pleasant experiences. When the waiting room was full, I waited under 15 minutes. That's not bad at all! Everyone was friendly. I just looked up what time they open for today and was surprised to see so many negative reviews.... but hey people usually only write reviews when they're mad! Anyway, I felt compelled to write a positive one, as I haven't have any bad experiences here! read more

Showed up at appointment time after a two week wait period for an 8:45am time slot. Upon arrival they advised me to do the urinalysis which I was happy to give. Then we got to the Blood draw and I informed them they needed to use a "butterfly" needle and take the Blood from the top of my hand......Big Problem!!! They were out of butterfly needles!!! What??? You are a Lab and you are out of needles??? They then suggested I drive myself (with urine in hand) to their Encinitas/Santa Fe location which had butterfly needles. They tried to call that location to advise them I was coming but that location doesn't answer their phones! What a nightmare! The only redeeming thing to this horrible morning was Bridget at LabCorp Santa Fe Drive who was fast, kind, apologetic, and got the Blood draw done from my hand painlessly! read more

I've been to Lab Corp twice now and feel the need to sprinkle a good review in here amongst all these horror stories. Yes, they get busy! Go when it's not a peak time, if possible. That's harder with fasting tests, I know. But today (a Saturday) I went in at 11am for a fasting test and was called back almost right away. There was only 1 other person in the waiting room when I arrived. Call ahead and ask. Both phlebotomists I've seen have been sensitive to the fact that I tend to almost pass out. They watched me closely and asked how I felt throughout. The phlebotomist today even fanned me while I came back to Earth & got a cup of water for me. They have been patient and kind to me on both visits. I've not experienced anything other than that here. They are skilled and the draw went well on both occasions. read more

Wife lost her job because of negligence by unprofessional staff. Two technicians were professional, but one was rude and mean the second the others left the office. She yelled at my wife for taking too long for urinalysis and scared her while trying to pee. She packaged up the specimen and sent it off knowing it was not enough for a test. When the results came back as failed due to not enough sample. Job lost. Thank you! read more

Go to Pathology Inc a block away instead. It's so friendly and fast. Whereas I've been here at Lab Corp an hour when they said it would be a half hour and I'm starved from a fast and might miss my meeting. I hate this place. I wish I was at Pathology inc instead! At pathology inc there's one experienced woman who's amazing and always there. This place is a bunch on youngins. Ugh. read more

Make an appointment. The walk in process is very inefficient and the staff doesn't accurately estimate wait time.

Terrible patient service. I spent over an hour in the waiting room to give a blood sample for which I had a standing order from my doctor. Many other patients came and went so I finally asked the receptionist what the problem was. For the first time she told me that she couldn't find my paper work. Her excuse was that she was too busy, even though she was not helping patients for most of the time I there. I finally had to go to my doctors office to get the lab order myself. The people who work here are rude and incompetent. Avoid going here for lab tests if you can. read more

Waiting room looks clean however the back where they draw the blood was FILTHY, UNSTERILE and unorganized. Looked like a messy break room. Walls, floor looked dirty, stuff piled everywhere, large rolling trash can in middle of room. Plus I waited 50 minutes WITH an appointment. Clearly the front desk was confused and called patients out of order. In going back to Quest where it looks clean and sterile, not like some back alley lab. Would give ZERO stars is I could. read more

For all it's worth, here's my review. This is the worst Lab I have ever gone too. Service was very slow I waited 1 hour for a simple blood test. On the flip side, The technician was great I barely felt the needle. Does anyone from Labcorp bother to read reviews left by us or do they not care what we think?? read more

I arrived right at 6:50am because I didn't know if people would be lining up early. I needed to be in and out to get to work on time. They opened the doors today at 7:15am. I check in first there were several people behind me and I was in and out by 7:40. I had blood work done and the gal was very sweet she could tell I was nervous, so she told me "almost done" which made all the difference. Great experience. Fast, simple, and easy. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I am normally a Quest girl, but had to come here for a TB test. As always, I made an appointment. Unless you are being sent right from the Doctor's, make an appt! You will then always get priority and I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes past my time. If you are having to wait an hour, it is because they have to see the people with appts. first. The receptionist was very friendly, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. read more

Horrible Saturday service!!! The receptionist is rude to everyone that walked through the door and made people feel bad for being here on a Saturday. No courteous hello or good morning just a sharp demanding voice Of commands. Waited + 1 1/2 hours to get fasting labs drawn. I've been to the location on Santa Fe drive and have always had exceptional service. Will never be back here read more

My problem with Labcorp isn't their customer service, which isn't great but, for me, at least, hasn't been horrible. My problems are, first, that the place doesn't seem as clean as other labs I've gone to. When they take my blood I feel like they're doing it in a storage room. Secondly, and much more important, I don't trust their results. I recently had a UTI, gave them a sample of urine that was tinged pink with blood, and the results came back as "normal". I don't think so. If you have a choice, go elsewhere. read more

Worst customer service. I was there this morning. I stood there with three employees in front of me and neither one of them greeted me. One of them practically shouted at me for not being able to find a door geez! The man in the back handling all specimens was rude and gave me an attitude for asking another question. It was my first time there and I am NEVER going back to that location. read more

Expect to wait longer than expected. I am an MD and the receptionist had the nerve to ask me for my credentials to order lab work on myself - are you kidding? read more

Absolutely dread coming here. Appointments need to be made way in advance. If you walk in expect an hour ( or more) wait, which is especially fun if you're fasting or just trying to get to work on time. They are always understaffed and the receptionists, while professional, are very chilly and not at all helpful. Avoid this place if you have other options. Also note there are 2 locations in Encinitas - just to make it more confusing. So make sure you're going to the correct place if you are able to get an appt. read more

We have been here several times and it has always been bad. This recent time was the worst. My daughter had to have blood drawn, two vials. A day prior to the draw she had to be off her medication which makes her very ill. The lab tech drew only one vial. My daughter explained she need two, each with a different color top. The tech would not do it. She assured her she knew what she was doing. She was very rude. We raced to another lab but had exceeded the time window for the draw. Later that afternoon the tech left a massage on my daughter's phone saying she needed her to come in for another vial per doctor's orders. It was so frustrating to see my daughter have to deal with this when just getting out of bed is a labor for her. Now we have to go through the entire process once again next week. We need to reschedule our doctors appointment because the draw is late. People should not have to deal with a lab like this one. STAY AWAY. read more

Chronically understaffed. Hour waits are normal. Nice enough people but they need to dramatically expand their operations.

Had to wait more than an hour and then walk out without taking my test. receptionist was totally bored and unconcerned of how many people where stacked up in the office. Nothing to read also. I would rather give blood to a vampire that LapCorp. read more

Scheduled an appt. online for Saturday morning. No waiting; only one other patient there. In and out in minutes. Friendly staff.

Terrible service. If you have a sob story you go ahead of all the people waiting over an hour and fourth five minutes and the appointments. The front people can't keep track of the orders. Terrible terrible terrible. read more

the gal at the front desk was sweet and courteous and efficient. the reason for the low rating is the awful guy who drew my blood. i have a needle phobia so brought my eyeshade and ipod, which i've done for years. he was gruff and intimidating and wouldn't wait until i got my eyeshade on. i asked him to please wait so i didn't see the needle. i asked for a butterfly needle and he refused, saying ONLY IF I HAVE TO. every person who has taken my blood has said how lucky i am to have such easy veins. he poked me twice the most painfully anyone has ever done, refused to use the butterfly needle, and 5 days later i still have a bruise where he jabbed me. he made the experience much more traumatic than it needed to be. previous labcorp employees have been gentle and kind. he's in the wrong profession and if someone doesn't already have a needle phobia, they might after having him try to take blood. he needs to be kicked to the curb. read more
