Aside from that frustrating and de-humanising intro to the place, I came along with him because labcorp will not take cash and my partner does not have a credit card, and they have always wanted payment up front before since he's doing self pay. THIS TIME THEY WOULD NOT TAKE MY CARD EVEN THOUGH I AM STANDING RIGHT THERE TRYING TO GIVE IT TO THEM . This is even more infuriating because they have a machine for it, and I went out of my way to go there for this reason. Instead the dude insisted on billing me for it. Not only do i feel it should be illegal not to take legal tender, they now made me have to go out of my way all over again to figure out how to log into his patient portal (he always gets confused) so i can pay his stupidly expensive lab bill after the fact, wasting yet more of my time. I am currently in the process of returning my security badge to the lab. On the back of my badge there was an option to mail the badge back with postage promised for the return of the badge. When I returned my security badge to a National Nuclear Security Administration lab they mailed me an envelope to return the badge in. I did not get one from LBNL, a United States of America Department of Energy national lab stewarded by the Office of Science. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess I am not going to get reimbursed for the $4.20 it took me to mail my security badge USPS, yes that is allowed for security badges here. I mailed my badge 27 August 2021 and as of writing this review on 10 September 2021 the badge is still in transit... snail mail is not the fastest way to communicate with the lab. Two research facilities I utilized in my research were the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) and the Advanced Light Source (ALS). I also ate at the cafeteria a few times and used the shuttle to get up and down the hill to/from campus and the parking lot on Hearst by Euclid. Shuttles only ran on week days when I was using beamline 12.3.2 at the Advanced Light Source, so when I had beam time on the weekends I would park offsite and walk up and down the hill to the synchrotron. A great way to wake up on a Saturday or Sunday morning, hiking uphill to the lab. During the week I would typically ride the shuttle up and walk down the hill unless pressed for time, then I would take the shuttle both ways. Something to keep in mind if coming on a weekend is to make sure your badge works at the laboratory main security gate. If it doesn't work, then you need to have the phone number of the beamline scientist or some other lab authority/supervisor plus your badge to gain access. Myself and other researchers I knew who used facilities at the lab had various badge problems over the years to a surprising amount. It just became part of using the lab procedure, at some point something will go wrong with one's badge, just work through the problem then. No amount of double checking prevented unrelated random problems from occurring. In the end, badge problems meant access problems and having that as a back-burner stressor was a bit of a detractor from the overall experience.

I watched her, patient after elderly patient throw such unwarranted attitude and disgust to people go gave her NO SUCH reason to act that way. Everyone knows this lady is awful yet somehow management has done nothing about it. I watch her speak from a regular tone to her coworkers to speaking so quietly and with so much attitude to elderly patients that clearly couldn't hear her. They ask her to repeat and she gets more angry. I truly don't understand how Labcorp can keep someone like this around. However the phlebotomist was incredible, she she has to work with such awful front desk.

They…read moreschedule donors during the mornings on Monday-Thursday so the products can be shipped fresh to the contracting laboratories. Plan to spend quite a while at the first visit filling out your medical history, including any prescriptions you take. If you pass the written screening, small samples of blood will be taken and tested for HIV and hepatitis. Once they are screened, which takes a business day, they will call to schedule your donation. A great thing: if you had questionable historyy from your distant past such that the Red Cross will not accept your blood, it will not disqualify you from donating as long as you never contracted anything. Nawid at the front desk and Barbie who explains and takes the blood are both very personable and effective. A doctor takes the bone marrow from two points in the hip bones. PPA prefers consistent donors, and will call you to ask if you'd like to come in again at the time blood or bone marrow has been replenished in your body. Payment is made in cash immediately afterwards, and was much more than the amount listed on the agreement form which must be signed at each donation. That amount may have been for plasma donation in their TN office. Rather than donate plasma, if you want to help medical science and yourself financially as well, I highly recommend PPA!

I've had my share of lousy lab experiences, but this one was surprisingly positive. My husband and I could not get the scanner to recognize our appointments, and though I wish they had an actual human in the waiting room for customer service (the reason not 5 stars), when I got the attention of the folks behind the closed (and locked) door to the lab area, I got friendly service to help get things on track manually. We were both seen within a reasonable amount of time from when were scheduled, and my phlebotomist, Michael, had a really nice way about him. He was happy to get me into a chair that reclines because I have anxiety; he got that needle in with zero pain; and he kept me talking and distracted through collecting 8 tubes of blood, though I'm glad I was in the reclining chair because I did feel woozy toward the last few tubes. I usually end up with some bruising the next day, but there's none, and my arm isn't sore. 5 stars for Michael and many thanks! :)

Gross. Fired. Fired. Fired. Like, fired and then find out they need to get lab work done. So they can see how they are treating people. Ive never successfully used the services they provide. It never works out. You have ONE JOB. I've been here so many times, even with appointments and they can't find my lab order. Why do they even exist. Poorly run location. Just, burn it to the ground!!! Abhorrent and disgusting, the way to treat sick people. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
