The check in machine said I would have a "1 hour and 6 minute wait". For this to be a lab that services patients, they have many areas to improve. The notion of privacy is non existent, so is hand hygiene. The young lady that just drew my blood did not gel in prior to donning her gloves and she came to the door obviously eating. That's not sanitary at all. The attitude, lack of empathy and rude comments of the older lady with glasses to a poor anxious woman was really off-putting. I understand there are protocols, but how about you go above and beyond to help?!? What are talks patient experience scores?!? They can't be high. Were they fast? Yes, once you finally get them to stop talking about desserts etc. but that's really the only good thing about it. read more

Office experience. What an atrocious experience. The older nurse at the front desk - tall-ish, glasses, dark hair - seemed to have had a bad morning. She seemed shocked to find a person at her window with a question, and answered with an unpleasant demeanor. Moreover, she tried to charge me for the visit, giving me 2 clear options: pay or wait for a bill. Despite my asking why I'm being billed, she failed to inform me that Labcorp "bills" or charges only after the insurance is billed. Read the fine-print. So I left believing I'd be billed, forcing me to waste more time on the phone with customer service. Dorothy (@ customer service) was lovely. Sadly, I didn't have that experience in person, despite my normally personable demeanor. I will not return due to the practices, lack of informed/helpful personnel, and that unpleasant "nurse". This is an unsanitary location and I don't recommend anyone using it. My lab was contaminated and urine samples had to be redone but I totally can see why. The phlebotomist was so irresponsible and just flat out nasty. She had a cold or coughing, long nails I'm sure shouldn't be permitted and long nasty wig that wasn't pulled back. I had to tell her to put on gloves and wipe my skin with alcohol while prepping . " like how they rub and pop " for the veins to be visible. I didn't have an issue with front desk professionalism or promptness, but the woman, I didn't get her name but she was a woman of color. I just don't think this place is sanitary at all!! I've had to edit my 1st as I found out more details...we were refused service by woman @ the front desk...not even a tech who actually does the bloodwork?!?! She claimed "nothing was circled on the lab" Rx & she couldn't "figure out what tests were needed"...BS excuse to go to lunch instead of honoring the appointment we made. Who is she to determine who gets through? We've had the sand set of tests done by LabCorps in NY & MO...never a problem. Our doctor sent a computer generated Lab Rx. There is no chicken scratch to decipher. Billing Codes & Diagnostic Codes are listed in orderly boxes. The order for tests are clearly typed out & important bits are in bold & underlined. We had an appointment & had to fast all day bc this was the best we could get. This fasting bloodwork is very important & affects subsequent decisions. This receptionist sent us away, calling after us that there is no need for an appointment. Self satisfied little smirk. Thank you Captain Obvious. We made an appointment so we wouldn't have to wait an indeterminate time. Refused to give us a collection cup to make anything easier for the next time. How can anyone anticipate how long they have to wait to hopefully be called in before your bladder bursts? All previous labs have never had a problem handing over a sterile cup to be dropped off @ our convenience. This woman decided to send away someone who had been fasting since last night for a bloodwork appointment today. We had email reminders to be on time & checked in via QR code...why give an appointment at a time your staff would rather go satisfy her appetite? They posted their lunchtime as 12:30-1:30. It's 2pm now, are you still hungry? If you're hangry bc you were so busy approving only things inside circles, be a professional & ask for some grace as you've had to skip lunch. I need to file a formal complaint regarding a person who would only provide a first name of Michelle. She was not wearing a name tag. This incident just occurred at the Raintree location in Allen, TX. She indicated that orders from only one of my two physicians had been received. I called their office to ask that they resend them. Michelle then demanded that I approach the desk to sign a form, at that exact moment. I explained what I was doing and she again demanded that I sign the form at that very moment. She then threatened me, saying that she would be canceling the orders in that case. She left the area and when she returned, I explained that if she were to do so, it would be an illegal act and that she would suffer the consequences. Keep in mind, all of this was in front of a room of people. I spoke respectfully, professionally and in a calm manner at all times. In addition, I observed her treating multiple other clients rudely as well. She appears to have an exaggerated opinion of herself, a controlling personality and is uninterested in customer service. As difficult as it is to hire competent staff, I suggest that this woman should be relocated to a non-customer related role. Just came in here to get my blood work done. If I could give them zero stars I would solely because the front desk lady with short brown hair- I believe her name was Kathy. I work in healthcare, and have never experienced someone so unpleasant, rude, and disrespectful. Seems like she hates her life and her job and projects that on everyone that walks in the door. Going to the lab is an already stressful and sometimes worrying experience, and to be treated in such a way is truly sad. There is no place for people like this in healthcare, and hopefully Labcorp will see this and act accordingly. Go to a healthcare provider that respects their patients. Made an appt online, opted to do the "wait where your comfortable" my appt was for 10:15, I checked in via my phone at 10:00. I received a text that the tech was ready for me at 10:02, I went inside, walked up the stairs and went to ste 250. As soon as I walked in I heard my name spoken and I confirmed it was me. I went to the window and handed my order to the woman behind the glass, she was very cordial and professional, told me it would be a minute while she entered my info. I was back in my car before my actual appt time of 10:15. I usually get my blood drawn at my drs office so while it was not convenient to have to go to an outside facility, this was a great experience and I'd gladly do it again. read more

I gave them my contact information on everything but payment, which is how they had access to her email, and I explicitly stated that all information was to be sent to me and that I did not consent to it being shared with anybody else. Note: This business is a lab that does blood and urine testing/screening. There's not really a finer grained Yelp category besides "Medical Center". . I've been having my blood drawn at this location on a quarterly basis for a couple of years now. It's conveniently located near my home, and is easily reachable from US 75 in Allen. It's on the second floor of a nice medical building across the street from Texas Health Presbyterian hospital. Waiting times can be a bit lengthy in the mornings, due to patients needing to do fasting testing, but they move them through quite quickly. Most of the technicians are experts at getting blood out of the proverbial turnip (e.g. me, a notoriously difficult "stick"). The waiting room is clean and quiet, with a TV running one of the health channels, but it's not particularly large, seating maybe a maximum of 12 people. Still, if this location is convenient to you, it's not a bad place at all. read more

This place needs to be shit down. I went there today because my daughter needs bloodwork done. The door has a sign that says only 5 people allowed in at a time. Once I opened the door, every single seat is sat in. None of the seats are social distanced- they are smashed next to each other. The room is tiny, the door is closed so no air circulation and too many people to be considered safe at all. On top of that, there were NO receptionists/ office staff at the checkin window. I've never had a problem here and have been getting annual blood tests for the past 8 years. The lady at the front desk seems miserable, but if you are nice to her and can make her smile, she's a sweet girl. The ladies that take blood (the vampiresses) are all good and fast. I'm usually in and out in 10-15 minutes if I go around 3:00pm. Unfortunately, they made my lab tests at Quest Diagnostics this time. Definitely not walk-in and out, and a pain. Came for blood titers. I made an appointment at 10:45, but came early around 10:15. Check-in at the machine. It was nice of them to call my name for the blood test at 10:30 instead waiting to my appointment time. The lady (I forgot to ask her name, she is blonde with glasses) was very nice to me and did a great job at drawing blood. Cathy/Kathy the receptionist/phlebotomist was the most HORRIBLE, DEMEANING, RUDE, SARCASTIC, UNPROFESSIONAL individual that I have EVER encountered in my 20 years of patient care! Today at 4:15pm, I walked into Lab Corp (1111 Raintree Circle Allen, TX 75013) as instructed by my physician for routine CBC. After 3 attempts to use the self-patient "check-in" method... giving the alert-message "Unable to proceed due to closed clinic".... I politely asked Cathy/Kathy at the front desk for assistance. She very reluctantly walked around to my location and loudly and embarrassingly shouted out "Well you must of done SOMETHING wrong!". I was in shock of her tone and loudness. When she tried it herself, she said, "Hmmm, that's NEVER happened to ME before!". I replied, "This is why I asked her for assistance". She then proceeded to check me in manually and then said that I had a past due bill in the amount of $17 from 2015. I did not have my ATM with me and told her I would dispute that nearly 4 year old frivolous balance, because I was (still am) adamant that this was an error. HOWEVER, because I was unable to pay it right there, she told me that I must call the billing dept in front of her, in order for her to proceed. They had me on hold for so long, Cathy/Kathy said that she wouldn't be able to complete my bloodwork because "rules are rules". This woman was in total HIPPA violations making me use MY cellphone and calling in the waiting room, in front of patients. She kept making sarcastic remarks as I was on hold saying it was almost closing time. I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THIS WOMAN IS EMPLOYED! Especially in the healthcare field. I visited the Weatherford TX location for some lab test. Upon arriving I was required to check in on touch screen as no one was working the reception window. There was no way to sanitize your hands after the touch screen check in as no sanitizer was available! The restroom is constantly occupied for urine testers so washing your hands with soap was not an option. The lobby was full and no social distancing was being observed or temperature checking, in addition to no sanitizer to be seen. While sitting there I observed two elderly persons attempt the touch screen and was literally sharply dismissed by a lady that that kept popping out of the door or quickly sliding the window open and shut. Another waiting customer had to help after sometime. Please tell me this is not where you would physically go to test for Covid! Scary thought. This location is close to my home, easy to find, they're quick and relatively painless. I had to have about 20 tubes of blood taken awhile back, and it was blessedly simple. They used a little blood draw 'extender' so I wouldn't feel the pressure in my arm of having to replace each new blood tube. I'm a notoriously light headed (read: big baby) 'drawee' so this helped a lot! As phebotomists go (IMO they're probably barely a step up from the love given to 'raging anti-dentites'*) they do a great job. Wish I could give ZERO STARS! This is the 2nd time in the last 12 months that I've been to this LabCorp and the 2nd time I have walked away angry. On this most recent visit, I asked the tech to please use a butterfly. The only decent, readily accessible vein I have is very tricky - prone to rolling and occasionally collapse. The tech COMPLETELY ignored me. The vein was bulging and aching before she finished, and of course, now I look like I got hit in the arm with a fast ball. I went by the office the next day to talk to a supervisor, but there wasn't one in the office. The tech wasn't there either. The desk staff gave me a phone number, but didn't offer up so much as an "I'm sorry you had a bad experience." This is the second time that I have had a terrible experience at that site. The time before this most recent visit, I was getting blood work done on my 11yo daughter. I chose that site because it is listed as a pediatric location. The tech made ZERO accommodations for her - again, no small needle or butterfly. The same insensitive service I experienced this week. There's something seriously wrong with the culture in that office. I will never go back, and I will make sure everyone I know hears my story. It's inexcusable. read more

The staff at this place are not qualified to be in the patient care line of business. They are rude, stiff , unprofessional , demeaning , very sarcastic and do not have any patience. I felt that the saw every patient as a "headache" that needs to be tolerated. I will avoid this place. It is very apparent that these ladies got into the wrong profession and it is very obvious that they hate their job. It is also very chaotic, three people call out names at the same time and is easy to miss. I can go on.. but for the patients , I have only one advice .. Find a different place if you have the choice. For the staff there - Find a different job that you like, dont be in patient care with this attitude. i was recently put on lithium so i have to get routine lab work every now and then to check the levels in my blood. luckily for me, i have a severe phobia of needles. when i got my blood work done the first time at a labcorp in katy tx, the staff comforted me and helped me the entire time. NOW, when i went to this location today, i started crying (of course) and the woman taking my blood made me feel stupid, annoying, and didn't attempt to comfort me at all. if you're gonna be in patient care, part of your job is to make the patient feel comfortable. i did not get this kind of treatment in the slightest.
