Update: This company went from a great experience, to the worst experience. My secondary heat…read moresource went out during the winter and I called for a service checkup. After about 15 minutes of work I was told the condenser had to be replaced due to mice chewing the electrical wires. I could understand this. Here is where the issue comes in. The technician first said it would be $3400 to replace. He then went to his truck and came back to tell my wife it would actually be $8,000, but they added a discount so I would Pay $6,000. The total cost of the whole install (condenser unit + 4 wall units) was 12,000. So just to replace the condenser is over half the cost of the initial install. I called to complain and spoke with the service manager. The service manager essentially explained to me that this was accurate because if they did the install today it would be 23,000. So they evidently had a 100% price increase. I then explained the invoice showed the unit itself as 2,000 and then labor as 6,000. He explained to me that was untrue, that due to the new invoice system they have, they can just put numbers anywhere essentially, so I should ignore the invoice. I explained my frustration and how that does not make any sense and I am not paying 6,000 for a condenser and labor. He said he understood and would escalate it higher and I would get a call later that day or the next. It's going on 3 days now and I have not heard back. This company went from one of my top rated to near highway robbery. I cannot reccomend them to anyone at this point, and will need to look into alternatives to get my heat back in the winter.

I used to use them for my yearly services, called the 24 hour line at 6 P.M. because my hot water…read moreheater went and basement flooded. The guy who answered the phone gave me the voice like he just woke up and or was stoned, didn't want to be bothered, was rude not helpful at all. I just wanted to make sure someone would come out Monday morning but he couldn't be bothered. I will never use them again, would never suggest this company to anyone.

The very best oil company around. Great pricing & great customer service! Thanks Steveread more

I've dealt with Omni Energy on multiple occasions in the past with good results, this time not so…read moremuch . I do have to say that Jessica does a great job and have no complaints about her. I contact Jessica about an order for fuel and was told that the delivery would happen January 1st , I was happy as other suppliers would not deliver until the 2nd or 3rd of January. January 1st comes and goes and I didn't think I would have to go check my tank to see if the delivery happened, because like I mentioned I never had a issue with their deliveries. January 2nd I had heat when I left for work, later that day my daughter got home from school and texted me that it was cold in the house. I thought she was being overly dramatic as I don't keep the heat up high to conserve oil, I get home from work and the thermostat reads 54 degrees. I immediately go to my tank to see it reads empty, I call omni and the answering service takes my message. Jessica calls back promptly and says she's confused because she has a stamped delivery ticket, I tell her the situation and she says that she had to get the owner involved( Steve Stack Jr) because he made the delivery personally. Steve finally called me about 50 minutes later, asked me to tell him what's I already told the answering service and Jessica, so reluctantly I do. Then he tells me something like this happened to another customer and their gauge did not work and she had sludge in the tank, tells me he can't get out to my home tonight. That it wouldn't be until tomorrow at some time, but he could send a tech out with 3 days worth of oil at a cost of $150 that time of night... really? My tank is empty I have 2 children and we have no heat. Again I explain that there is no evidence that he delivered oil to my home, no delivery slips in the mail box and no oil in my tank. He says the best he can do is tomorrow and I would have to be home so they can verify there is no oil in my tank, I'm shook at this point. I know society today there are people that feel the need to lie and cheat to get ahead, but I'm not one of them. I just want what I prepaid for and for my kids to be warm!! Steve even admitted that it's sounds like it was delivered to the wrong address and made a point to say he'd have to eat the loss of that oil like some how I should feel bad he delivered to the wrong address while it's 50 degrees in my home and getting cooler by the hour. I told him I didn't have and extra $150.00 to spend on his tech coming to my house, to me that service should have been offered for free! January 3rd, woke up its 42 degrees in my home and everyone even the cat isn't happy. Get the kids off to school and myself to work, get home from work house is 40 degrees , I call Steve at 6:57 pm and it goes to voicemail so I leave a message asking for an eta of the delivery it's getting colder. Time as I write this is 8:52pm and no call back from Steve or the delivery driver, thankfully my kids are at their moms so it's only me freezing. So this is the kind of customer service Steve Stack Jr at Omni energy provided my family in the 17 degree weather CT is experiencing right now. Buyers beware **Update** 1/4/18 So the phone rings at 6:03am and it's Steve saying he's delivering the oil and they received a phone call from my neighbor stating they had my delivery ticket in their mailbox. He then proceeds to ask me how I plan on paying for the delivery I remind him I paid for it with my credit card and he promptly says his recollection was that I was leaving a check. Again I tell him I paid for my delivery on December 30th and the delivery was to be done on January 1st. Today is January 4th! He says ok I guess I'll have to take your word for it and hangs up, No sorry for delivering to the wrong address, no sorry for leaving you and your children with out heat for 4 days , no offer to restart my furnace, no apologies for not delivering yesterday like promised!

Steve and his company installed our mini-splits in my house over a year ago in December/January…read more24/25. We paid $20,000 for two units. They worked fabulously for the first 8 months- we live in a Cape Cod built in the 50s with no heating devices upstairs. The bedrooms were warm and cozy in the winter, and cool in the summer. And they were so quiet! However, since installation, Ash has been flaking and ghosting me on appointments! So the background is that our mini-splits started pumping out cold air in mid-November '25. So I called for a service request, they came out, fixed it, and it only worked for a few days. I called for another service request a few weeks before Christmas, and I was told that someone would be at my house on a Friday - and no one came out, or called me to let me know they weren't. The next day I called, and they said they would come out that day [Saturday]. Their van broke down and they weren't able to come out, so Steve said he would come to my house the following day. He basically ghosted me all day until 6pm; he was out of state, and he nonchalantly replies "I was going to [come out to you] but the boiler [at my in-laws' house] had other plans for me lol." So he tells me that he would be at my house the next day, and he was and he did temporarily fix the mini-splits. He also told me that he would text me every day for a couple of weeks to make sure it was still working - and he didn't. The mini-splits broke down again. So one of his techs comes out to service it, it doesn't get fixed, and they said they "made an appointment" for April 1st. April 1st comes by, and no one has called or texted me about my service appointment. I tried to be nice and patient and give them a little time, so I wait until April 7th to text Steve, and I get ghosted again. So I call the business last week. He sounded like he understood my frustration, and said after he hung up with me, that he'll text me an appointment date. He doesn't. So I call the next day, and then he tells me we would have an appointment today on the 21st at 930 - and he doesn't show, and he ghosts me through text, and when I call the business, I get an AI voice mail instead of speaking to an actual person. So I now I have $20,000 mini splits in my house that don't work and I need to find a new HVAC company. It takes a lot for me to even leave a 1 star review, let alone a 1 star and an actual written review. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt over and over again, but since they're ignoring me, I don't really have any other choice.
