This is my 2nd time in Nice and this is by far one of the best meals we've had here! It was super lowkey (not in the touristy main st) while my husband and I were looking for something to eat we stoped to look at this menu, one of the employees approved us and gave us a run down of the menu. Not too convinced we kept walking and then quickly we went back to ask for a table... best decision ! My husband got a Negroni and I got an espresso martini (which I was surprised by it!) We decided with the truffle pasta and the sea food pasta which both were AMAZING! For dessert we got tiramisu and it was delicious. I was looking for Italian cuisine after spending 2 weeks eating French. I ran into Sienne while staying in Old Nice. It was set in an old narrow alleyway which I love. The staff were pleasant and I ordered their scallop entree. I rarely have scallops cooked correctly but these were perfect and the dish tasted marvelously! I had a nice glass of Pinot Grigio and wrapped up my meal with a fantastic cheesecake. The entire experience was enjoyable! read more

Our favorite meal while in the the south! We chose this based on a recommendation of a coworker and absolutely loved it. Great casual ambiance with beautiful murals and lovely service! We recently visited Siena so the murals of the town were like reliving some great memories. The food here is amazing and the portions are hefty. Which causes quite the problem when everything is so delicious and you just keep eating. The mixed salad was probably the largest mixed salad I have ever seen in Europe. It was probably more of what you would expect in the US when ordering a salad first course in terms of size. The grilled seabream was perfect. My husband, two best friends, and I had an amazing meal at La Villa de Sienna May 12, 2023. My tagliatelle with truffle and sausage was absolutely delicious and a very high recommendation-as is the calamari pasta dish with mussels and prawns. It was raining on our only day in Nice and my group just wanted to find a place for lunch...Italian...again. Suffice it to say I had a bad attitude when I sat down because I didn't want Italian again. The best gnocchi ever, and we had just come from Rome. The escargot was fantastic. The only other time I had gnocchi this good was when I was in Italy and I realized what gnocchi is supposed to taste like....light and fluffy. This place reminds me of that. The menu looks great but we will never know about how good it actually is. When we arrived they told us it would be a 10 minute wait and to wait outside. It was too cold to eat outside, but not for a wait. 20 minutes later we asked about the status and they said they were preparing the table. Another 10 minutes passed and we went inside because it was getting cold and the small bar was now vacant. We didn't see any attempt to prepare the table, no acknowledgement that we were there (and the only one waiting) or even offer for us to purchase a drink. There was some discourse occurring between the two associates and after another 10 minutes, we left. Didn't even phase them. If they told us it would be a half hour wait, we would have gone back to our apartment which is literally in the same building, and returned. A 10 minute wait that went to over 30, without any communication, is not acceptable. Might be for the best because a couple that was seated shortly after our arrival, still had menus and a look of despair when we left. read more

My family and I had an amazing time at this restraunt ! We arrived first of the night so got our table right away, and the owner of the establishment was immediately very kind and helpful! She made great recommendations and the food served was GREAT! The portions were large and the flavor was fantastic. Tucked away in the old part of town, La Ville De Sienne is a great spot. So what's great about the place? Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, tasty food, even the house wine is tasty and well priced. The kitchen is open for all to see, right in the middle of the restaurant which is reassuring as it let's you know the place is clean and the chef has everything under control. I had the beef ravioli and opted for the beef sauce. The meat was tender, portion size was more than generous and most importantly delicious. We just ate here the once as it was just a short trip for us but the next time we're back in Nice we'll be paying La Ville De Sienne a visit. I suggest you do the same. read more

This location was highly recommended by a friend as a must visit during our holiday in Nice. The weather was a little warm out with no breeze so we opted to sit inside. The service from the beginning until the end of our visit was awesome. One of the few restaurants that actually refilled our water glasses without asking. The menu is extensive and there will be something for everyone. We started with a couple salads and moved to the main course options. The tomatoes in the salad seemed homegrown and also like large beef steak variety. They had a wonderful taste with a little olive oil and salt. My wife and I both select pasta dishes, but the beef and seafood items looked intriguing as well. I selected the house red wine and was not disappointed with the taste. We did not select from the desserts but choose to walk the Old Town for a gelato. The location was clearly a four star stop for me. Given another visit might shift me to the 5 star. We had a fantastic dinner here. I had the prawn spaghetti, the Hubster had a pizza and our friend had the chicken in white sauce. I really loved my pasta: the prawns were large and perfectly cooked, and the pasta and sauce were flavourful and cooked just right. Service was friendly, and we got to sit on the patio, which is a great spot to watch people walking by the tight alleyway. One of our best meals in Nice! read more

Absolutely the best gnocchi I've ever had in my life!! Don't look any further, you WANT to eat here in Nice. I had the tomato basil mozzarella one and they were basically little fluffy pillows sent from the heavens, handcrafted by the most talented of gnocchi gods (chef Johnny), and literally melt in your mouth. Well, well, well...I was quite excited about dining here based on the reviews. I ordered the carbonara pasta with seafood. I only ate 1/2 because I wanted to eat the other 1/2 for lunch the following day. I requested a doggie bag from my server. When he was cleaning the table, he revealed with shock that my leftovers were rubbish. In return, he gave me and my guest a limoncello shot....um, really, 1/2 of my pasta (with seafood) is now rubbish and I have no lunch for the next day and a lemon digestive shot is the answer. Needless to say, I left the limoncello shot on the table. I was not impressed. Since my guest only had soup, we headed across the street to Marcel's. Her scallops and risotto looked and smelled divine...and my glass of champagne was fabulous! read more

Yelp says they are closed for lunch but I ate there for dinner. And it was Amazing! Excellent service, superior food, and they didn't seem put out that I only spoke English. They have the menu translated into 3 languages, French, Italian, and English. I got the truffle gnocchi and it simply melts in your mouth! The food came out super fast and the fun part is, dining on the inside you get to watch the authentic Italians at work and prepare your meal. A wonderful experience for a random find. This out-of-the-way restaurant was a pleasant surprise. A delicious lunch of fresh pasta. The beef ravioli in tomato sauce was quite good and I recommend that dish. The filling is made with braised beef so it is not only delicious, it melts in your mouth. Yummy read more

Amazing pasta!! The food was incredible and it's located in a great location. Definitely a must if visiting Nice!
