My dog…read morewas boarding at the Resort when the caretakers noticed that a lump beneath her chin, which had been drained by another vet prior to her boarding, had recurred. The transition to the Animal Hospital side was seamless, and the communication provided by the vet team while we were traveling was excellent. I always feel comfortable leaving my fur babies with Chino Hills.

The Vets and staff have always been courteous and professional, and although they recommend various items, they do not pressure you to go with any specific treatments/products. You just have to be able to say no and not feel bad about it, they won't make you feel bad about saying no either, at least not in my experience. Facility is clean and they always understood our apprehension about not being able to set the pup down until all of his vaccinations were complete, and ensured us they had the room and area cleaned before we could set him down, which was a huge relief. Our puppy always seemed to be excited to see their technicians and vets, so to me, that's a good sign. We have not yet had the chance to check out the pet hotel/resort as our pup is not neutered yet, which is one of the requirements, so that's still TBD.

My family has had a couple of stray kittens (couple of months) appearing in our backyard. One of…read morethem stuck around and kept his distance from us (would run when he sees us etc...). Eventually he started warming up to us. Over the course of a few months he got closer and closer to our back door. Eventually he started sleeping on our back porch. We had even gotten him a flea collar to keep them away from him. We decided to look around into getting him neutered, but we never planned on keeping him as our own. We simply wanted him to be neutered as to not have him. We looked into this shelter as they said it would be around $70 for the operation and shots. We brought him in today and after his operation they told us that he was "too friendly" and the shelter had to keep him, or they gave us the choice of adopting him. They did not give us any other choice. They NEVER told us this would be the case beforehand. We brought him to prevent more stray cats from being born. The employees were also very rude in person and on the phone. One was on the phone with my mother, and my mother expressed her grievances with the operator, the operator responded with "its not our fault you got attached". What a way to speak to your community. This shelter should be ashamed. Only decided to keep the cat after they saw how friendly he was. He was only this friendly because we took the time to gain his trust. We never intended to adopt him or keep him as a pet. We simply wanted him to live a happy free life, but this shelter took that from him. We even built him a shelter to keep him safe for two weeks after the operation. Take your business to another shelter.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VETERINARIAN…read more My experience with this place is that they are always trying to charge you for another visit, even when all you need is a tech follow up visit just to see if your pet has recovered from the illness they treated him for. In my opinion, the vet, Dr. Grahbin, is greedy and unethical. I went to see if the my dog had healed with the medication the vet prescribed for him and, immediately, they wanted to charge me for another visit. I stated that the Dr. Sung said I didn't have to pay for another visit, only have my dogs treated areas inspected to make sure he had healed. The receptionist asked for the dog's rabies certificate. I told her I didn't have it and if I could bring it another day. She said no. Then she stated that they would let me slide if I paid the $60 for a whole new appointment. I told her I was not going to pay and that they were just trying to get more money from me. I said something under my breath, and the other tech accused me of saying a bad word, which I did not, and anyway, I can say whatever I want to myself. Well, the entire staff, including Dr. Gahbrin berated me and ganged up on me. I told them they were greedy and I wouldn't be coming back. i left without my dog being examined and to this day, I don't know if he still has an infection because they wanted to extort money from me that Dr. Sung said I was not required to pay. Also, while I was there, they tried to charge an elderly, disabled woman twice for the services she received. I stepped in and said, they already charged her and she paid. This is probably why they treated me horribly. I'm never going back to Pomona Animal Hospital and don't recommend it to anyone. I don't know how they have 3.8 stars, they're horrible, greedy people that put profit over the well being of our sick animals.
