Such a great little restaurant in the most perfect setting. Right next to the cathedral!…read more The interior is charming. Flowers painted in the walls make you feel like you are in an English Cottage garden. Crisp white vintage linens make it feel extra special. Easy to call and make reservations for dinner. Super friendly service from that phone call to saying goodbye after our meal. When we arrived we were treated so nicely. Menus are in Español but easy to work through with my Spanglish. A young man took our drink order - an excellent beer selection - then a young woman came to answer some questions and to take our order. The food was served in the perfect sequence and in a timely manner. All dishes were very tasty and large portions. Starters were a pumpkin & carrot soup along with an avocado, grapefruit, corn, hard boiled egg, green salad. My husband and I shared both with him eating the egg so the salad was now vegan. Mains were the veggie lasagna for him and tofu & spinach spaghetti for me. Both served hot and delicious. I liked the tofu grilled on my pasta. The two women checked on us, visited and treated us as if we were long time customers and so happy to have us there. Definitely recommend this place. Especially if you are vegan or vegetarian.

They do have plenty of meat options but they also have a very nice assortment of vegan and vegetarian options. We very much enjoyed the tofu dish and the chop suey dish, we also enjoyed the veggie corquettes. The prices are great and so is the service. Great find.

Located next to a great lookout point over the city not too far from the Aquaduct, best to hit it at the beginning or end of your journey through the town. The suckling pig portion is not huge - two of us felt like our plate for two was not overflowing - but it was a melt in your mouth experience.

The Tour Guide was raving about the House/Area Specialty -Suckling Pig (Cochinillo Asado). Two levels for seating and 1st level was sold out so we were seated on the lower level. What stood out was all of the options on the menu. So many interesting choices. The Soup (Sopa a La Castellana) was highly recommended and looked good from others who ordered it but given the heavy of the main course we decided against it. We ordered the Suckling Pig and Grilled Turbot. The Suckling Pig wasn't as big of an entree once you get the meat off the bones. It was tasty and would describe it as an elevated Pulled Pork. That said, for me, it was one to try and not sure I would order again. The Turbot was excellent and was enjoyed even if it wasn't a filet. Ponche Segoviano for dessert was also recommended-looked good but no room. Service was okay. Again, they were quite busy so some delays. Overall, looks like the spot in town for Suckling pig/Roast Lamb and a few interesting creations.
