The service was impeccably attentive. When it was time to cut the roast pig, the owner, Jose Maria appeared. We were gathered around to watch him deftly cut the pig with a plate into several servings. The cuchinillo was perfectly seasoned. The skin was thin and crispy and the flesh was moist and melt in your mouth tender. Everything we ordered was delicious! Later on, Jose Maria came to our table for a short chat and to indulge us with a few picture with him. This was a really special experience.

We had an amazing three course meal, were given and entire bottle of local white wine, and bottled water for €68, a bargain for the quality of the food and the location on the Plaza Mayor with a view of the entire square. I had the beans-judieos to start. They were hearty and perfect for a cold day. They came with a pigs ear, which I didn't try and some sausage that was flavorful and went well with the beans. My husband had a nice mixed salad that had tuna, the usual veggies, and olives-like a Nicoise-tasty. For my main course I had the suckling piglet. I had wanted to try this local delicacy without having to order an entire portion and this was the perfect compromise. Extremely tender, with a crunchy skin and potatoes on the side. Service was fairly quick, but the only thing we actually enjoyed was the freshly squeezed orange juice. I would not recommend this restaurant, at least not for breakfast. There are so many inexpensive and much better options nearby, this was a waste of money.
