Super flavorful, served mexican style with onions and cilantro plus lettuce, tomato & cheese. Can't speak to all of the other wonderful-sounding menu items, so I'll have to make a return. This is always my first go to when I have the itch for something good, cheap and quick (depending on the crowd outside). I tried to think of a time when I was disappointed with my order here, and honestly I can't really recall any particular time. The only thing I can think of is sometimes toward the end hours of their shift, they'll run out of certain meats and ingredients. So I'd suggest getting your order in before the dinner bell goes off. About the food -- it's delicious. The tacos here are absolutely great. They come fully loaded with choice of meat, tomatoes, lettuce and a lime to sprinkle on it (use it -- you won't be let down). My other two favorites are the nachos, which are also heavy hitters with chips, cheese sauce, sour cream, lettuce, jalapenos, tomatoes, choice of meat. The portion size is pretty big and you get a lot for the price you pay. My third option is the burrito, which is pretty standard but is only five bucks and it's again pretty big for what you pay for. So if you're looking for a good place to go with a lot of flavor and not a lot of cash, I'd suggest stopping by this mobile house of goodness!

I decided to order something that I usually never order, the tostada along with one taco. The steak taco was two corn tortillas, steak, onions and cilantro. Steak was plentiful and falling out ok, nothing super special. A taco for me is four bites and three of the four bites had chewy gristle in them which is disappointing and a turn off for me. My tostada was Al Pastor and piled high with pork, beans, lettuce, tomato and a pile of cheese. The shells were super crunchy from the fryer and two to hold up to hefty tostada. The tostada was tasty with all the crunchy and soft textures, clearly the winner over the steak taco. I have been to the restaurant and the West Allis truck, the truck about 15 times and I have never had any gristle in my food. The two trucks have different menus and I think the West Allis truck is better.

This red beat up truck caught the corner of my eye and since I haven't eaten since breakfast I stopped for a couple tacos since it was almost 3pm. I ordered one steak and one al Pastor taco with cilantro and onions that came with a red and green sauce. The tacos looked good on corn tortillas and nicely filled and topped. I tasted the meat before I put the hot sauce on my tacos to see how it was. The meats were moist and not dry at all with the steak having a good beef flavor and the al Pastor being the tastier meat. The sauces were not to my liking but the red one was used for some heat in my tacos. The tacos were pretty good on the corn tortillas with the fresh cilantro and onion and every bite was meaty with the steak having a big piece of gristle/fat. Overall it's not my favorite Mexican truck but it was still good and I would try a goat burrito next time.

The tacos here are full of flavor and fresh-tasting, each time I've visited. They are served on small corn tortillas. They are only about $3 each, with a vegetarian option also. I usually eat 2 or 3 but others would need more. I've tried the Al Pastor, Bistec, and the Chicken. You can grab a beer at the tavern or try one of Zocalo's offerings, such as Topo Chico or Coke in a glass bottle. Once you get your food, you grab a picnic table to eat. When I was there a few days ago, they had covered picnic tables, which can be reserved in advance. Otherwise, the tables are first come, first served. There are other food places at Zocalo to try. This is one of my go-tos for tacos. A friend was coming to visit Milwaukee form Chicago and asked me for some reasonably-priced places to eat. Guess what I recommended? This place. : )

There were probably 6 flavors to pick from but I ended up with spinach/artichoke (sounded interesting), beef picadillo and meat/potato. I loved them all - each was good sized, well filled and full of fresh things. The standout for me was the picadillo one but honestly, I just wanted to get right back in line and eat empanadas until someone called the rescue squad. The folks working were really hustling to keep the line moving and were super nice. If you see this cart and pass it by, you're not living your best life.

This area has had some different food trucks come and go and the last one in this a spot seems to be gone with this one taking its place, it's been months so it's time to give them some exposure and a spot on yelp. This I believe is the old Toys R Us lot that it's stationed in on this strip of strip mall's. I have gotten away from burritos for some reason in my Mexican food adventures so today I would have the Al pastor burrito with added cilantro and onion, the secret to an awesome burrito. WOW to my surprise I had a small of side guacamole and hot sauce in my burrito, the guacamole is a great touch that makes them really stand out. The Al pastor meat was moist but not that red Al pastor kind of meat. When you slap on the guacamole and hot sauce on the burrito that was tasty to start with it was pretty good and I really liked the moist seasoned pork and it smelled so good in my car. I think a torta is next when I stop back and try some more of the menu and I will eventually get back.
