I agree with the other reviews. The customer service is just okay but it is a tanning salon with a young staff. You only have to check in and you go to your room. The space is clean. The private parking lot is a perk. I'd recommend. It's like all other la tans. read more

The service at LA Tan is absolutely awful. The only reason I go there sometimes is because it's right near my apartment. The snobby girls at the front desk ALWAYS let their friends in the rooms ahead of the patrons, even when there is a line and we have been waiting forever. They stole over $4000 worth of my jewerly! I forgot it in the room and came back a few minutes later and it was gone. They admitted no one went in the room but them, but my very expensive jewelry had vanished. It was almost closing time when this happened as well. So the only people left in the store were the girls that work there. I understand I forgot to put my rings back on, but I think we all have had the moments of forgetfulness. It's sad that within minutes, the jewerly was gone. I filed a police report and hoping to press charges shortly.There are humdreds of other tanning salons in the city, and the last mine and about another 50 peoples buisness for life, and hoefully many more! The only peace of mind I have right now is Karma and knowing they just lost well over $4000 in business. read more

I went to this LA tan because it was closer to my job and i just got off of work. The girl at the front desk was super nice and i have nothing bad to say about her. When i was in the level 3 tanning bed on room 3. I was fine till I started hearing cracks like the glass in the tanning bed was about to shatter. I was so scared that the glass was gonna break that i couldn't lay down peacefully to enjoy my tan. After i was done tanning i did notice the top glass was all shattered. Ive never seen a tanning bed in this much of a bad shape. I also went to use the restroom before leaving and was left in the restroom with zero toilet paper!!!!!!! I let the girl at the front desk know and left. So i will never be back to this LA Tan ever again!!!!!!! read more

I don't go tanning a lot, but when I do I go here. I really like this location. The staff is very friendly and the manager there is amazing. I had let a spray tan expire and she was able to let me use it! I called another location and no one even picked up the phone. I love LA Tan! I go as often as I can for $5 dollar Tuesdays! I have never been pressured into becoming a member here by any of the employees and I really appreciate that, almost makes me just want to join on my own. Everyone who is saying that Ultimate is better, NO way! I was a member there for 6 years. They upped the monthly fees without warning and you still had to pay for any upgrades it was pretty ridiculous! The girls are always so nice here. They have fabulous deals. The beds are great.

Service was very friendly and helpful. I explained what I wanted to do and how much I wanted to tan, and the employee walked me through all the options. She didn't try to sell me anything and was very helpful. The actual beds are very clean with new bulbs but can get hot later in the day. Only complaint is that they don't take appointments to reserve a bed. $4 for your first time tanning (4 sessions)! read more

Larger than it looks from outside and great for simple tanning. $5.00 Tuesday's get crowded but the wait is never too long. For tanning needs, this place is my #1 choice. The staff is not too friendly and they often seem annoyed by customers entering, asking questions, and leaving but my tan always turns out nicely. As far as tanning goes, this place meets my needs. Customer service needs an improvement so if it is your first time tanning, maybe go somewhere else first and then once you've gained the knowledge of tanning, try LA Tan on Fullerton because their staff is not very helpful or eager. read more

I had a really great experience here today! I was looking to get some color for my brothers wedding that I am standing up in and ended up at this location due to their later Sunday hours. I walked in with money on my mind due to thousands (yes, thousands!!) I had already spent on preparing for my brothers big day, and really wanted to get the most for my money, as I had planned on tanning for 3 consecutive days before I left for the Beaver Creek, Colorado wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Natalie, who was very professional, sweet, and down to earth - unlike most of the girls I've dealt with at other LA Tan locations. I told her my situation and the type of tanning I like to do, and she immediately offered a 5 tan, any level and time package for 40 bucks. While I wasn't planning on going tanning 5 times, it was still less expensive than paying for 3 individual tans for the type of bed I prefer. Then we got into the lotion conversation and this is where she was awesome! She covered a bunch of different types of lotions, i.e bronzers, accelerators, facial lotions, etc. and even made sure I didn't have any allergies or skin sensitivities. I must have asked 30 different questions pertaining to types/prices and she was super patient and nice to me the whole time. I deal with price conscious people in my line of work all the time and it can be a real pain in the butt sometimes. Not once did she seem annoyed, and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. She carried her patience and knowledge like a pro the whole time, and I truly appreciated it. She set me up with 5 any level tans, an entire bottle of lotion, and 3 sets of winkies for $80. Thank you Natalie!! With regards to the facility itself - it's huge, has a lot of different bed styles and levels, is very clean, has convenient hours and easy parking. This location certainly isn't the closest to my home, but I will be coming back here for future tans due to the great facility and my exceptional experience with Natalie. read more

I find this to be one of the biggest LA Tan locations that I have been to in Chicago. There are lots of tanning beds and stand up beds. I have had a pleasant experience everytime I have gone with the staff. The place is always clean. I have never had to wait for a bed and have been there in the mornings and evenings. read more

Everytime I go to this location, I leave disappointed. Either they're trying to upsell me, can't find my account, or don't have the beds ready when they say they are. I recently went in to use a spray tan package I purchased in May, & they weren't able to find it under my name. I had to purchase a separate tan because they couldn't locate. I was told it would be $20 for their Thursday special, but because I was the next level up previously, it was an additional $5. Once I returned home, I had to check my credit card statement to prove my purchase & call them back. Still pending on what they're going to do, but to top it off I had to walk out in a robe to ask for a hair net before I could even start my spray tan. I only want to be walking around in my robe in my own house. Disappointing to say the least, cause it's so close to my house. read more

I ABSOLUTELY agree with the previous reviewer!! My friend and I went in there Tuesday to tan. My friend did the $5 Tuesday and I used my Platinum III membership that I purchased at a different location (and will soon be cancelling because it is so overpriced!). The place was crowded and small. I felt claustrophobic, but it wasn't that big of a deal. However, the fans were not even working!!! My friend and I were in level 3 beds without working fans. We got so overheated AND DEHYDRATED, not only did we have to stop the session before it ended (and before we passed out), but we spent the rest of the night hydrating ourselves with water and gatorade! The staff is extremely rude and stuck up. The girls that work there are unhelpful and have fun rolling their eyes over simple questions, customer concerns, and inquiries. I could go on and on about the filthiness of the place, rudeness of the staff, and improper working beds and nonworking fans that could be a detriment to your health; however, I will end this review by saying that I went to that salon location asking a simple question about which bed would be best for me, and I must have been bothering the girl working and disrupting her from her text messages because she kept rolling her eyes and giving me attitude until finally I was like, "look, bitch, if you have a problem doing your job, then you should probably get another!" Such rude, and unprofessional staff. They closed early on a night where I went to buy a tanning package. The store hours are clearly advertised online, and on the outside of the store. When I got to the salon 20 minutes before closing, the cashier didn't even look up to greet us. As she was counting money from the drawer, she just said "Store is closed." No hello, or apology or anything. Knowing that the store wasn't supposed to be closed, I asked all the girls just standing around what time it closed. They told me it was 10PM. I said, "Well it's 9:42.." No one addressed me, or the situation and just said to come back another time. Still no apologies. I absolutely won't return to a place of business that doesn't appreciate my business, or the time it took me to get there to find out they were closing before they were supposed to so they could get home early.
