DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. I called at least 30 times before I actually WENT to their location only to find out that they are only open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Left numerous messages but never got a call back. Did a Groupon and lost the money because they are so unprofessional. I finally reached someone and was able to make an appointment but they changed the time the day before and didn't even have the courtesy to tell me. Please do yourself a big favor and do not ever go to this clinic. Horrible, horrible place. They should be put out of business. They are also very rude. What a waste of money. read more

It is very hard to schedule appointments here. Mine were often moved and they were often unavailable for weeks at a time due to being out of town. Not to mention the phone is never answered nor did the web booking via their website work for a package purchase. It wanted to charge me again - so I was often following up with the owner via text multiple times to get an appointment confirmed. Location is not ideal for relaxation as it feels like a cold doctors office - but I know the Ashland address is temporary so hopefully that will get corrected in time. I started with a Groupon facial which was ok. Nothing special, and made worse by the environment - but again hopefully that is temporary. My biggest recommendation is before you buy an expensive package (I did a $1500 prp treatment package) get very explicit details on how many passes you receive with each treatment as I always got far fewer from the owner than if my appt was with a tech. This lead to very minimal results. And for $1,500 I expect results. It was absolutely not worth the money! read more

I have called them multiple times - both on the # listed on their "website" aka their Facebook page as well as the # listed on Groupon. I have also reached out via Facebook messenger and have not heard back. I would either like to be able to contact someone to be able to schedule an appointment or receive a refund for my un-used dermaplaning appointments. REALLY frustrated... this has been going on since Dec of 2021 and have not yet received any sort of response or call back. Well, I have to say...this was by far the worst laser experience ever. I went in for an IPL & skin tightening treatment. I didn't really feel anything during the IPL, but during the skin tightening, it definitely felt like she was burning me. Sad...I have a few scars on my forehead from this. So disappointing. I would not go here...this is the only time I have burned...ever. It's now healed but still reminents of it. Bummer...it's times like these that I hate when I try out new places. read more

Unfortunately I'm overwhelmingly disappointed with my experiences at iBeauty Clinic. I visited across 6-months for laser hair removal treatment for my lower legs and through a variety of problems, including no hair loss, I can honestly be disappointed. I have had other areas treated at other clinics and have never had experiences like this. The first visit was a joke. I came in for a "consultation" where they made me 'fill' paperwork into a Google document that the scolded me for not filling earlier, but the email they had sent me with in never arrived. I met with the doctor for less than 30 seconds where he shook my hand and then never was present at any appointment ever again. The lady that runs the place and does some of the treatments told me the same thing that the paperwork I had to sign said and I left. I returned a few weeks later for my first appointment. This was by far the most comprehensive appointment and took nearly an hour. My second appointment she had someone watch the process, who was a 'new technician' but never was there again. My third appointment was very disappointing. I couldn't schedule when I wanted to because the main lady was on vacation and they didn't have anyone else -- which delayed my appointment by a few weeks. I had a spray tan in the meantime. They never told me that I couldn't get a spray tan.... so she used the laser on the lowest setting. By this appointment she had been going as fast as possible, getting done in 20 minutes, which was clearly skipping a lot of area. My fourth appointment was pretty terrible. I had scheduled it for 12. When I arrived they told me it was 12:30. I checked my old emails and it was definitely 12, but then they made some excuse about how they changed scheduling systems and it was an issue with that. I didn't have time to wait around as I was on my lunch break and it was not appreciated. They basically told me this was my fault. Again really fast -- too fast skipped areas. My fifth appointment was better because there was a new technician that was nice and knew what she was doing. She even had me bend my legs instead of turning them all weird. It was a decent experience, but still no hair loss. Again really fast -- too fast. My sixth and final appointment they turned the laser way up because still no hair loss, but afterward, still no hair loss. Again really fast -- too fast and felt like only half the area had been laser treated. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend spending money here. Thank goodness I had a substantial discount from using a Groupon, but if they are trying to get long-term customers, they are not going about it correctly. read more

I have been coming to iBeauty Clinic for about a year, after first discovering them on Groupon (though I ended up buying directly through them because it was a better deal). I thought Getty was very friendly and professional. I have only gone for full leg laser hair removal and am now seeing noticeable decrease in hair growth. As I started my sessions it turned out to be a season of changes at iBeauty and I ended up seeing a couple of different people over a few months. I have to admit I did not see any change just by going for the first 3-4 sessions, which was a little disappointing, since I had definitely noticed a change I. That time when I had another area done at another facility, and I became worried their machine was not effective for me. But then I started to see Eddy on a regular basis for my appointments. When he heard my concern about the lack of noticeable change he worked with me immediately to make adjustments. After a couple more sessions there started to, slowly, be signs of it working. It turned out that I needed a higher pulse for my particularly difficult type of hair (coarse and thick, thus why I chose to do this). Eddy was great at making sure I was seeing results and taking the time and care to make the most of the sessions. After six sessions with Eddie I am finally noticing a significant difference in my hair growth, which is very exciting. I have very stubborn and thick hair so I know that others may even see a difference sooner. My only true disappointment is that it did take so long to have someone catch that I needed a higher pulse rate so that I could start seeing the results sooner after investing my money. But I do think that the lasers at iBeauty are effective and the staff is professional. It just helps to have consistency and that seems to have been a fluke. I would recommend ibeauty to others. I do make my next appointments after each session so I don't usually have a problem getting an afternoon or evening time. I do agree with others that parking is very challenging in the area so it is important to leave extra time to find a parking spot and don't forget that most of it is permit parking after 6 PM. read more

Way to over priced fractional treatment I paid over a grand with products and not much of a difference plus she said because it was ablative it's 750 not 250 which was the none ablative. They used to be good a few years ago, but their staff has changed drastically. I've gotten everything from Laser Hair Removals to Microdermabrasions to Facials. Their med spa is decent for the price, although I am almost certain the difference between a "microdermabrasion" and a "medical microdermabrasion" is nothing (and they always give you a BS explanation). As for the Laser Hair Removal, they keep the "strength setting" at same level for multiple sessions so they can get you to keep coming back. After the 12th (!!!) time for my upper lip, I REFUSE to go back to these guys. There are many other "affordable" med spas in Chicago that offer quality service! read more

DONT COME TO IBEAUTY CLINIC. They ruined my face. Had blue light therapy performed here and they completely burned my face. It was very painful. I went back the next day to try and see if they could do anything to fix the burns. They said I would need a microdermabrasion and a chemical peel to start. Now I wasn't really upset about the burns because things happen and nothing is perfect but I was extremely upset at the fact that they wanted to charge me for the microdermabrasion and the chemical to fix a problem they caused. I left that day and complained to the owner who did eventually take away the charges. But I thought it was very insensitive and wrong for them to want to charge me for it. They should have been more than happy to pay. Not to mention I still have burns on my face. Seems like they're only out to make a buck or two off of their clients. read more

I was here for a Brazilian wax last summer. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They used hard wax which was fine but if you are going to do this, keep in mind that you may have to be in a certain position for a few minutes to allow the wax to harden. read more

Ibeauty wanted me to buy costly products to restore my skin back to Its original condition, this was extremely unfair. They also did not give me a satisfactory explanation for my burns. When I requested a full refund, ibeauty specialist Gity sent me an angry email and refused to give me a full refund of the amount. I have been trying to reach them for weeks and they just do not respond to my many, many attempts, other than to say they will not be returning my money because it was a "legal charge." They said I swiped my credit card for a friend that day....I was not even in Chicago on that day and do not know a single person who has ever been to iBeauty. So it was my birthday week and who doesn't like to be pampered? It was my first time getting a professional facial facial and a microdermabrasion! The staff was welcoming and the specialist was gentle with my skin. My skin was becoming dull and after 2 weeks it has become hydrated more and soft. Of course keeping up with a skincare routine helps. Gity the specialist was sweet. She answered all my questions and concerns. She also gave me personal skincare tips to better my skin! I wish I could write a positive review - but I can't. Purchased a medical facial through Groupon. Great deal but I left with a steam burn on my neck from their malfunctioning equipment. The esthetician treated my neck burn with hydrocortisone - which is used for allergic reactions, not burns. I now have a permanent memory from the experience. Neck scar for life. Oh and the sheet I layed on looked like it had not been changed and the lady allowed me to get on the table with my snow boots? Swanky. Personally I expect more from a salon. Sure I saved money but the savings was not worth the mental grief. You get what you pay for. Next time I will spend the $90+ for a truly professional facial. read more

I have regularly scheduled chemical peels and extractions with Ashley since finding iBeauty through Groupon. She provides advisement without pushing. I appreciate that. I am hoping to see more drastic improvement soon, but we are taking it slow and thus far I have no complaints. I had a bad experience with microderm at different clinic so I would rather take it slow than risk damage. I had a very nice experience with Gity. She used high quality products and was very knowledgeable. I have had issues with my skin since I was 15 and have gotten spa facials in the past. This facial left my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and I could see the difference in my pore size after one visit. I take meds for acne and get facials to help with sun damage and deep cleansing. The Signature Facial met my expectations and I will be going back. The staff was polite and accommodating and the facility was lovely. Another reviewer said that during her experience she felt that Gity was unhygienic, but I had a very different experience. She used disinfectant on all the tools she used and switched surgical gloves between each application of product to my face. She also took the time to fully explain each piece of the process to make me feel at ease. I would recommend going and, if nothing else, enjoying a relaxing experience. read more

Went here for microderm and it was the first time trying the treatment. Ashley was great to work with. I thought it to be such a value I bought a 2nd package through Groupon. I scheduled my appointment and was turned away as they are only available for new customers. Honest mistake on my part, but I was truly disappointed in the way I was treated. They do not care to make things right or even honor the paid amount (one time). I went to iBeauty Clinic after purchasing a package of three chemical peels from Groupon. When I got into the room with the aesthetician, she asked me about my skin regimen in a way that was very condescending, and consequently, very off putting. I'm familiar with the concept of facilaists telling me I could really use their expensive products and services, but the degree that this woman pressed her pricey facials before I had even tried one of the chemical peels furthered my disdain for the service. I'm 24 years old, and she was quick to identify the "deep" wrinkles on my face and that with my "type of skin" I need "at least six" of her $95 dollar treatments (but usually people only need three, she said). I agree I could have used a little more sunscreen as a kid, and I am not a certified aesthetician, but I don't think my skin is THAT bad. Geeze... I came straight from work and so I had a layer of makeup on, and she did little to remove it. I felt like as she put on the products, they couldn't penetrate my skin well because she didn't take the time to cleanse my skin thoroughly. The treatment took only 10-15 minutes, total. Maybe 20-25 if I add in her condescending lecturing. I will go back for my next two treatments and update my review when I do. read more

I honestly am shocked at all the less than great reviews here. I've been going to Gitty for a little over a year now and I have visible changes in the way my skin looks. I alternate microdermabrasions and chemical peels, and have recently been getting the facial laser treatment as well. I saw results after 1 treatment. Gitty always provides thought out advice. I'm not usually someone who "sticks" to the same person for services (i.e. I change my hair stylist every few months, not married to a manicure/pedicure place, etc.) - but Gitty is the only person I will trust with recommendations when it comes to my skincare on my face. Oh, this PLACE. When I first walked in, I had a bad feeling. The receptionists were slow to get to the people in the waiting room, and there were quite a few people waiting--all of the chairs were full. When I finally got my chance to check in for my appointment (15 minutes later) they were running behind. When I met with the consultant to talk about the regions I wanted to get treated with laser hair removal, the consultant didn't even look at them! She just gave me some cursory notes on what laser hair was, the doctor hurriedly popped his head in to see if I had questions, and left right away. It didn't seem like thy knew what they were doing or that they cared about their patients. I explained to them that I bought a Groupon--but they said they wouldn't honor it. Instead I had to go and cancel my Groupon. This led to a HUGE issue causing Groupon to step in and deal with iBeauty Clinic to get my refund back. Just, ugh. This place is terrible. read more

I had an appointment here on July 10th for microdermabrasion treatment in the chest area for some mild discoloration I had after stretch mark laser treatment. Microdermabrasion is supposed to be a painless experience with no recovery time. The aesthetician put witch hazel and some other chemical on my skin after doing the treatment (which I was later told by a doctor is extremely hazardous) and it burned my skin and has left a scar.
