Michelle was very rude, rushed the consult and made me feel like my questions I was asking were dumb. She did not take the time to even look at the area I wanted to get laser treatment on. I left feeling like I didn't want to come back. I understand if it's a busy day and they're more people to see but I am also in medicine and see patients every 15 min and have never once made my patients feel the way Michelle made me feel. She was not interested in explaining the treatments to me and I had to repeatedly say slow down. Definitely not coming back and will not recommend it to anyone. She slowly stepped me up to try out new treatments which I've candidly always been scared to try, and was always so attentive and sensitive throughout the process. I've now done chemical peels with basically no reaction (thanks to her technique and after care regimen!) and I'm starting laser soon. I had an appointment scheduled for today. I woke up with a pretty bad stye in my eye - certainly contagious and very painful. I called the minute the location opened and asked if I could reschedule my appointment to the first next available both due to the fact that injections would be painful and also to keep from spreading any of the germs. The answer was an absolute no without paying the $100 cancellation fee. This was despite the fact that I was rescheduling the appointment within less than 72 hours. The complete lack of concern for the health and wellness of their staff, and other patients was appalling. I was told there are absolutely NO exceptions to the fee, I even offered to provide a note from urgent care. $100 is more valuable to this business than operating a clean facility. My treatment was fine, but I will not be going back. read more

I had an excellent IPL laser treatment with Onute, and had excellent results. As I get older, I notice that some of the sun spots and spider veins start to become more visible as I get age. I decided to get the limelight IPL done. The process was pretty simple. My specialist cleaned my skin prior to the procedure. She also told me what to expect before she started using the laser. The actual laser treatment wasn't that bad. It sort of felt like a tiny rubber band being snapped against my skin. On the first day after the treatment, my skin was a little sore. On the second day, I didn't feel any pain at all. I noticed by day 4, my skin had completely calmed down. The sun spots that were there had faded away. Overall, I have to say that I'm very pleased with the results. read more

Substandard service, rude staff. Manager name: Kat states she represents the "entire" management, and there is no one above her to escalate the matter. Their cancellation policy is unacceptable. They hold customers accountable to 24-hour notice, even when the office is closed and there is no way to leave a message. They will charge you 50 to 150 dollars, even when they are the ones not in the office to receive the message. Not worth the time or frustration. read more

I absolutely love this med spa! Claire is the absolute best aesthetician. Anna is sincerely the BEST injector I've had, hands down. Unfortunately, my face can be tricky due to having post trauma from a car accident and having to have half my face reconstructed. I never thought that lip filler could be for me, or a Botox lip flip. Had a great laser experience but continuously felt bullied into getting a membership even though I stated multiple times that I wanted to pay for a single service. Then when I went to the front desk it got worse. I continued to state I wanted to pay full price and not get the membership. Finally I had to explain that I'm trying to get pregnant so I don't want to commit to a membership if I'm uncertain of the future (shouldn't have to explain this but it wouldn't stop). The facility has always been spotless every time I come in. I am not the type that cares to have only one technician so I have had the opportunity to be with Monique, Nicole, and Lindsey and I absolutely loved all three of them. SpaDerma seems like a nice place so far - my only quibble is that there is no price list at all, and really no way (apparently, after asking at front desk and on the phone) of finding out how much different services cost, which is strange. Booked a one hour facial for $150. I got up sold to a hydra facial that was an extra $100. The rep that did my facials spent about 25 minutes with the machine and 5 minutes on extractions. I went to the Dominican Republic and got a facial the following week ! The girl in the Dominican Republic spent 30 minutes on the extractions alone ! I don't know if it was late in the afternoon. But I was rushed in and out within 30 minutes for for a total of $250. No sense of value from my visit. read more

It pains me and bothers me that I have to write this review. This review in no way reflects the girl That did my Botox. This is a reflection on recent company policy changes that effected my girlfriend and I. First of all I have been a long time customer at Lincoln park and am new customer at Skokie. My issue is my girlfriend and I booked Botox appointments where we paid close to 800$ for our services. Like many places it's customary to do free touch ups 2 weeks later. Last Friday my girlfriend and I were emailed to say that touch ups were no longer free. To an extent I understand because covid has hurt many businesses. The flip side is we were not informed of the change in policy until 24 hours before. This led us to believe this was a policy that changed after our appointment. This was frustrating because if we were informed of this during our visit we could have made the choice to cancel our current appointments. Between the both of us we would probably spent between 2 and 3 thousand dollars a year. This review is solely to let management know it's not cool to change policies like this. Especially for good customers. I understand many take advantage of free touch ups. My girlfriend and I do not. It's important for management to understand our frustration. We canceled our November appointments as a result of the policy change. That's an additional 700 to 800 spa is losing. I also want to say this review is not about shaking them down for our free touch ups. This is about them understanding it was not right to make this type of change at the last minute. I also want to stress we like the girl that did our work. She is great. Botox can be a challenge sometimes Botox doesn't take in all Areas. Spas implement free touch ups as a way to make sure customers are satisfied. I recommend SpaDerma because they have high quality professionals. This review is solely about policies implemented by management. It would have been best if they said our policy changed. We will do your free touch up but after that we are discontinuing free touch ups. It's easier to be prepared then get blindsided 24 hours before the appointment. read more

I'm so so happy with SpaDerma and how my skin looks after only two appointments. I saw Claire for an IPL facial to help get rid of unwanted redness, sun spots, and the start of some wrinkles. While the process itself wasn't the most pleasant, Claire was great! She took her time explaining the process, the aftercare routine, as well as what other treatments I should do in between my next appointment. After Claire recommended a chemical peel in between my next IPL facial, I saw Dana a couple weeks later. She was incredibly knowledgable and made sure that I was doing ok through the process. The PCA chemical peel was a breeze and Dana recommended some affordable products for the aftercare routine. I am SO happy with how my treatments have gone. I had such a great experience here. I wasn't sure what I needed for my skin and was a little intimidated by all of the options out there. Not only was the spa BEAUTIFUL and clean, the staff was honestly so helpful and friendly! I never once felt pressured into anything.
