My husband and I stopped here on our trip from Fort Bragg back home to Grass Valley. We ordered the bread with 4 dips and the fireman's furry pizza. The bread was good, it was fresh, it comes with olive oil, vinegar, a spicy red sauce, and a home made pesto. Our favorite was the spicy red sauce. The pizza was delicious! It was quite spicy but we enjoy our spicy food :) our server Russel was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome. Don't go here on a weekend evening. They are under-staffed and their stove is too small the cook Told me. The food was good, but it took an hour and 20 minutes to get our meals. No apology until I complained and no updates during our waiting time. It was a $100 ticket and thought they might take something off the total for our long wait, but no. This is a cozy restaurant that is deceiving in how tasty their food is. We were driving back from the Eureka area and were starving. We ordered two salads caprese salad and the house salad. Both were tasty. And the balsamic vinaigrette over the caprese salad was yummy. We also ordered two pizzas. Redwood logger and another one I can't remember. The crust was nice. Not too crunchy but not too soft either. I hate when crusts cut the roof of your mouth. We found the pizza place on google maps. The guys serving us were nice and refilled our drinks as well. Willits is on the way, this was the only Italian restaurant, and we didn't want burgers or Mexican food. Pleasantly surprised with fresh ingredients and rich flavor. Owner and chef greeted us after we started eating, we tried the homemade meatballs with house sauce, hubby had pasta with house sauce, I had ravioli with cream pesto- everything delicious and fresh. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! On a family road trip and found this restaurant by chance. The waiter was kind and let us know that if we wanted the pasta there would be a wait because the machine was broken. Being gluten free, I got the (gf) gnocchi and was not disappointed! The rose sauce that I got with it was divine and wish I could have bottled it up to take home. My daughter loved the meatballs and the pizza and Caesar were devoured. We had a lovely conversation with others at the restaurant and the waiter and just added to the friendly atmosphere. we went yesterday (2/3/23) for dinner. we've been many times before and it's always been good. however last night both the service and food was exceptional! even with a full dinning room and one server it could not have been better! we both had the spinach ravioli. my partner had meatballs with them and I had Sugo sauce with house made sausage. Man I went up recycling me and my son wanted something different to eat and we're from Ukiah, Seen this on Yelp, handled our recycle business, stopped by and look at the menu and voila!!!! Wow! What a place to have discovered in Willits. The reviews don't lie. I had the Penne pasta with the Carbonara sauce with shredded chicken. Pasta was cooked perfectly, and plenty of sauce with out being too much. Great flavor. My husband had the pesto cream sauce with meatballs. To me, his was good, but I liked mine better. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and making sure we were happy with everything. This is a must on your way through Willits. I love my town, but our dining out options are sadly limited. When La Siciliana opened up in October my husband and I tried it right away. We've eaten there twice now and both times were impressed by the flavors and the friendly service. It's sometimes hard in a small town to review businesses honestly because we all kind of know each other and if you want to stay friendly you can feel pressured into saying nothing but "it's great". But Kapila, the owner, has been very open to reviews and feedback and is working hard to provide what diners want while also staying true to his vision and his food. Things he's doing right: the quality of food is excellent. Real ingredients, locally sourced and/or organic when possible. Dough, sauces, and meatballs are all made in house and they taste like it. (The meatballs are especially delicious - hand formed with local beef and pork and filled with pine nuts and fresh herbs) The dining room and kitchen are meticulous and maintained with pride. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. And finally, he's got Lagunitas IPA, Scrimshaw Pale Ale, and Angry Orchard Hard Cider (along with the usual fare) on tap for us beer lovers. One thing of note: the prices are not low. If you think about the quality of the ingredients this makes sense. But if you're thinking of pizza for dinner especially for a family, it can be more than you're used to paying. If expense is a factor for you, lean towards the pasta which is a good value for the amount of food (especially when you get meatballs which only add $3 to the cost and are seriously tasty and filling) and the dinner salad which is only $7 and is easily enough for two people. All in all, I'm glad this restaurant is here and I hope it sticks. In a time when it seems like only high-end restaurants actually make food from scratch, this an everyday eatery well worth supporting. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to Humboldt County in July because we wanted some pasta and this is the first restaurant that popped up on a Google search. We are so happy we ate here because it was just such a wonderful experience to lighten our 12 hour trip from Southern California. We were instantly greeted upon entering the restaurant. We were seated immediately and taken care of very well by a middle-aged server who seemed to be the manager or owner. I had the pesto gnocchi and my boyfriend had fettuccini alfredo. Both dishes were excellent and the pesto cream sauce was to die for!! The most delicious pesto cream sauce I've ever had right next to Tomaso's pesto sauce. The restaurant was very clean and so was the restroom. Everyone seemed to leave happy and I remember our tab to come out to an affordable price. OK, we are out there in the boonies and are looking for a place to eat. I am not expecting much but the Yelp ratings are good. The good: Food is actually not bad and really has a touch of Italy, especially the sugo flavor which brought back memories from my many visits in Italy. The OK: The owner clearly has not yet been to Italy because all the décor, paint schemes, wall decorations, wine selections, furniture, etc, nothing, niente como in Italia. We stopped for lunch on our way to Fort Bragg. The service was friendly and very prompt. We had the appetizer kabobs and they're very nice and fresh. We also order the Sicilian salad, prepared with the chef's mother's recipe and it was really nice. As a main course we had the Margherita pizza and it was super tasty. It's obvious that they use fresh and quality ingredients. The chef even came to the table and asked if everything was to our liking. We're very happy with our visit. Worth your stop! You know how you go to Willits for the fine dining? Oh wait, no you don't, because: Willits. We've driven through Willits a billion times, and have given most of our money to Taco Bell or Subway.
