this is the 3rd best pizza place in town, shadowed only by #1: Flying Dog Pizza and #2: Flying Dog Pizza. Slam Dunk has better hours of operation than most places in town (which is very important to me, especially for wifi access), great pizza (I've never been disappointed!) and offers wifi to guests. oh and hey they serve Pliny the Elder!! their game selection is laughable but I don't play video games so no loss for me. conveniently located in the same plaza as Grocery Outlet, Dollar Tree and Flourish & Flow yoga studio. Today we went in today, and our server Faith, was excellen! Her smile to, going beyond helping us make our decision on what to order for the size of family we had today (20 people)! We are beyond Grateful and Blessed! She was a great Blessing to ALL of us! We should note we are from out of town and never been here, but the food was excellen, from the salad bar, to the calzone, and the pizza's everything was Delicious and Amazin! We chose Slam Dunk because after arriving later than planned, getting situated at the RV resort... we realized we were too tired to deal with dinner. Slam Dunk is open an hour later than the other place in town, and so we didn't want to feel rushed. We ordered fried pickles, a large half-Hawaiian half-meat combo, and two drinks. A note on the service! We were so tired and just chilling catching up on messages that we didn't notice how long we'd been sitting there without food, until my hubby looked around and realized the people who got there after us got all their food already. Then one of the staff came to us with our pickles, an apology for a kitchen mixup, and a refund receipt! Dinner was on them!! The pizza arrived soon after. Everything was delicious! The batter they use on the pickles was crispy and not doughy, I loved every pickly bite. Very generous with the combination of meats, and the pineapple pieces were perfect and not completely dried out. Slam Dunk is now our go-to pizza place whenever we're in town. read more

This establishment is not consistent in the way that they make their pizzas.Every time we order a pizza, there's something wrong with it and it is made different every time. Definitely not worth the high prices that they charge. Also, do not build your own Pizza at this establishment. Because they overcharged for toppings. Even if you want toppings on just half of your pizza, they charge you full price for toppings. read more

Everything about our meal was terrible! It was so disgusting we couldn't even manage to eat it. The pizza had clumps of hard sauce on top and it wasn't spread, and the toppings were the opposite of fresh. I could not believe this pizza was sold to customers. The chicken tenders were also not edible and the meat was an overly dark color. The woman working was rude and purposely ignored us when we came in. A young worker helped us who was cleaning after waiting awhile. This was probably the worst meal I've had in a very long time and this establishment should be ashamed of themselves. I am very appreciate of the manager who called me to apologize after seeing the picture of the pizza! Very nice of them. read more

We were traveling from Sacramento to Ferndale (a 4 + hour drive) and Willits is half way. It was a Friday night and my two kids 6 and 7 love our Friday night pizza so we wanted to stick with tradition. We looked up pizza places and there were only two but we went with Slam Dunk mostly because they had the ability to order online and had an online menu. I ordered online and then called to confirm I ordered right. There was an issue with my online order but the staff handled it so well. When we showed up, the pizza was ready, looked amazing, and even more importantly, the service was amazing! They were so accommodating and were even right there with a towel when my kid spilled water on the table. I really felt they went above and beyond to make our dinner experience really positive and would definitely recommend you go here. Also, they had Pliny on tap which made my husband very happy :). read more

Seriously, I don't even know what the problem is at this place. Local person and we come here sometimes and every time it gets worse. Today I had my teams last t-ball game and my wife had ordered 5 pizzas for a pizza party. Order was at 10:30 and asked to have them ready by 12 and the cashier said "okay we'll see you at 12". When she went to pick them up after 1145 they haven't even started them yet. I'm like what the actual fuck??? Not only did we already pay for it but the cashier was super rude when she went. My boyfriend a friend and I dined in-house last night. We sat the bar for a beer and ordered burgers and wings. The bartender Treman was a sweet young man and actually conversed with us. Now the burgers were delicious! So much so that my boyfriend yelled across the place to tell the woman and young kid who made them that they were excellent, better than the Ukiah location. Pam was a gem who laughed and joked with us for a few minutes. Absolutely awesome customer service and We found out that she is Treman's Mom!! Great family establishment!! It is so disappointing that Old Mission is gone and replaced with Slam Dunk. Old Mission was fun and Slam Dunk is the worst! Bad service, although friendly. They have no knowledge of wine, I asked for Chardonnay and got offered Merlot! There's no supervision there and the young employees, mostly under 21, don't know what they're doing. We ordered a pizza there a couple of weeks ago and went to pick it up 20 or 30 minutes later and they hadn't even started cooking it!! They don't have the TV on and that used to be the place everyone went to watch sports! The place is like a ghost town and even if they only have call-in orders, this business is doomed - unless MAJOR changes are made immediately! Also, they charge too much for everything. read more

Today was my first time going here. The gentleman at the counter that helped me was very nice and took my order within seconds of me going in. I got their "Homerun" (their combination) and it was delicious. There were a ton of toppings and it smelled amazing. This establishment deserves more than five stars for sure.
