My wife and I like to stop in Willis when traveling and and we have had nothing but positive experiences in general over many visits. On this particular trip we were traveling with two puppies and needed to find an eatery with a patio that would allow our pets. Pizza To Go has an enclosed patio that was nice and cool on a particularly warm winter afternoon. I was willing to give them a try solely for the reason that they could make a pizza with non dairy cheese. Being lactose intolerant means I usually only get pizza when I make it myself, and that's something I do once a week. I make my own dough and sauce and smoke my own meats for toppings. If I lived in Willits I'd never make another pizza. Their crust is that perfect balance of crispy and chewy and the toppings were evenly distributed with care all the way to the edge of that crispy soft and chewy crust. It was without a doubt one of the top five pizzas that I've ever had, possibly the best, and pizza is my favorite meal. Pizza to go used to be a good restaurant a long time ago but now that they have a bunch of teenagers running their business they suck and they're very rude and the pizza actually isn't very good anymore. We had an all meat pizza from here a couple of days ago. The crust was under cooked and the meat toppings tasted old and the cheese had a sticky almost rubber texture. I am amazed this place doesn't have a full on 5 star rating. For starters the woman running the place is great with customers, she made my kids and I feel welcome upon arrival. It's so hard to find a good new york style pizza north of San Francisco. I've been to one up in Eureka and the crust was so over cooked it cracked upon folding. This slice passed the fold test. Then there's the best part, that grease that settles on the top. If you don't like greasy pizza, then I feel sorry for you, I literally dipped my slice into the grease that dripped out. You can't claim to like new york style pizza if you don't like the grease. In that case, just go eat at little Caesars or something. The kids wanted their slices cut which was nice. Huge array of pizzas that are very good. Nice tasty crust that isn't too thick or chewy. Great variety of interesting veggie combos, even dairy free and gluten free choices. Pepperoni is delicious. They have 3 kinds of olives!!! They even have one with almonds on it - but that's their dairy-free one and I put cheese on it and it's my fave. Big hint here - their cheese blend includes some yellow cheese (cheddar?) and that's just wrong so you can ask for mozzarella only which elevates it unbelievably. I didn't like their pizza before, then a coworker clued me in on this hack and now I love their pizzas. They also sell big greasy wonderful slices which are a huge hit with the high schoolers here. Decided to try a slice because the crust looked good. It did not disappoint! Excellent crust! Tomato sauce was a bit strong for my taste but it was still good. Oh, where do I start. We were traveling to Northern California and we decided to spend some time in Willits. We decided to get some pizza at Pizza to Go and we WERE so happy we did. We got a couple slices and each slice is about half a medium pizza, needless to say, THE SLICE WAS HUGE!!! The sauce, crust and cheese was AMAZING!!!! We went back the next day and as we traveled back through Willits we had Pizza to Go deliver a large pizza to our spot at the KOA (we were on a R.V. trip from Scottsdale). Greezy Pizza, but they deliver. Thier pizza has to be the greezyest pizza ive ever had, If you set the box down on the seat next to you, youll instantly regret it when you go to pick it up. Thats right, all the way through the box. I do like that they have green olives for a topping, most places dont. When I attended WHS in my sophomore year, I went here every day. This place is perfect if you want a classic New York style slice of pizza. If you order online, sometimes they mess it up, but they've always been real nice about it, and usually get it right the next time. This place used to be really good. The best place in town. Oh how they have fallen. Yesterday we ordered a cheese pizza and it was decent but there was barely any sauce, we could hardly see it let alone taste it. So today we ordered the same pizza but with extra sauce. First of all horrible customer service . my wife has a disability and I have to assist her in the restroom when she tried to follow me to the restroom they told her there was only one person allowed at a time in a very rude manner. When I told them she had a disability they remained rude and said it was because there were workers in the area that we had to walk through. Pizza- I asked for my money back because they were so rude, but the pizza that came out for us only had about two thirds of the slice covered with cheese and it was $4.50 for a two topping slice. And to think I almost opted for a burger as I went thru town. HA! I would have lost. Stopped in for a small pie of sausage and black olives. (Has asked for beef, but they use sliced meatballs, which I don't like.) It was a wonderful pie, to be sure. Good crust, nice sauce, plenty of toppings, edged well, served hot with several toppings on the table, like cheese, peppers and herbs. The staff were freindly. The restroom is down a maze of a hall, where I observed an employee (hello, there, just going to the loo) making dough in a large mixer. The indoor seating is comfortable enough. They had outdoor seating as well, but it was in the sun. Easy in and out. Lots of customers taking pies to go, so if you come and scare easily from eateries with no patrons, rest well. They have a good product and seemed to be quite popular. I thought Pizza to go was much better than Vassar's pizza. I only come thru town twice, once a year. I'll make PTG my destination in Willits.
