Great gem on our road trip. Food was high quality, well priced and served with great service. Highly recommend.

We came to La Siciliana for dinner. The side room had all the chairs up, and there was only one table available. So that's where we sat. Clearly they were understaffed that night, there was only one server for the whole restaurant. I saw two people cooking in the back. We started with the parmesan garlic bread. Then we ordered the Rancher's Delight: red sauce, grated mozzarella, ground fennel sausage made in-house, sliced pepperoni, and Italian dry salami. It was really busy, so we expected to wait a while. Eventually the garlic bread came. It was outstanding! My friend says it was some of the best garlic bread he had ever tasted, and I agree with him. Too bad there were only 8 small slices per order. We could taste the garlic for hours after dinner. Then our pizza came. It was good but nothing really special. The crust was crispy, and the cheese was really stringy. The meat was pretty good too. Service was as attentive as it could be with one person covering the whole place. But our server was apologetic about it. So to summarize: come for the garlic bread! read more

Good seats has always been tough to find when passing through Willits but found this place several years ago and now look forward to coming through to eat here. I took a coworker for dinner last night and had the same awesome experience as always. I love the menu style of ordering your choice of pasta, sauce and protein in separate categories. I had the penne pasta with Pesto sauce and chicken and it was delish. The caprice salad also hit the spot would great pitcher prices on good beers on tap. The waiter might've been the most attentive ever and we were greeted by the owner chef to see how we enjoyed our meal at the end. Would definitely recommend La Siciliana to anyone in the area. read more

If you find yourself hungry in Willits, like the four of us did, La Siciliana is a must. We settled on a large pizza with homemade sausage, and washed down this culinary delight with a bottle of local Sangiovese. While we were in the mood for pizza, the restaurant also offers a wide variety of Italian dishes. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was friendly, prompt and offered great recommendations. Kapila the owner took time to stop by our table a couple of times to check on everything and engage in conversation. The overall environment is quaint and very comfortable. La Siciliana was a great find and is highly recommended by the four of us. Our only regret is that the restaurant isn't closer to Sacramento, where we are from. Stopped during a rain storm on the way up North and stayed at Baechtel Creek Inn. The front desk recommended this restaurant, which was close to hotel. Amazing Italian food, had the Pesto sauce and it was really good. Cute atmosphere as well! Perfect food and ambience for a cold, rainy nif hot. read more

My biggest regret was that it took us 8 years to find this place! Definitely worth getting off at Willits if you're driving through. Everything was fresh and appeared made to order. Caesar salad was the best I've had in ages. Pasta serving was generous and the sauce was light while being packed with flavor. Worst Italian food ever. The most bland tasteless red sauce over pasta that was equally flavorless. The salad also had a mix of flavors that didn't mesh but at least had some taste to it. ***Warning - Long, but detailed, review! We are a family of 4 and were in Willits for an overnight stay on 10/9/21. We decided to have dinner at La Siciliana after reading all the great reviews on Yelp. I'll begin with the positive part of my review... everything we ordered was hot and tasty! It didn't take too long to get our drinks and food which was a good thing since we were really hungry! Here's what we ordered: 2 Arnold Palmers 2 Italian Cream Sodas Bread w/Dipping Sauces Spaghetti w/Sausage Spaghetti w/Sausage and Arrabbiata Spicy Sauce Spaghetti w/Chicken and Arrabbiata Spicy Sauce Tortellini w/Arrabbiata Spicy Sauce They ran out of some menu options due to an unusually busy day, so that's something we can't hold against them. Now for the negative part of my review... It wasn't too busy while we were there. After being seated, one of the first things a server usually does is serve glasses of water. We were not given any water and were left to go through the menu. Our server came to take our order a few minutes later. As I mentioned earlier, the food was really good. However, our server did not check on us at all during our dinner to see if we needed anything or wanted to order additional items. When we were done with dinner, we initially tried to get our server's attention to ask for water, but ended up getting her helper's attention instead. Several minutes later, the helper finally came back with one glass of iced water. She mentioned it was quite busy and she'll get the other glasses of water soon. After several more minutes, our server returned with a jug of iced water and asked if we were ok with re-using our drink glasses??? Apparently they had run out of clean glasses! We were really surprised and had never heard of a restaurant running out of glasses before! My son was ok with re-using his glass, but the Italian Sodas had cream in it which made the water milky. They should have had disposable cups handy or washed glasses at that time. Not everyone would be ok with using their drinks glasses! In hindsight, we wondered what they would've done if we ordered additional drinks? According to our receipt, our server that night was Kayla and we were seated at Table 2. We usually tip 20% at restaurants, but we only tipped 10% that night since it seemed to take forever to get water, then being asked to re-use our drink glasses for water was unacceptable, and they could have done a better job at interacting with us (their customers). The poor service dampened what would have otherwise been a fantastic dinner experience. read more

Oh man!!! Best stop yet! They have a great covid19 process in place. The food was on point as always. The wife got her usual tortellini and creamy pesto sauce. I decide to get the Fogetaboutit pizza. OMG new favorite for me!!! The pizza is a hit right out of the park!! I am struggling to find the words to describe just how amazing this pizza is! Normally this place gets 4-5 stars from me, I have probably eaten there 40 to 50 times, However last night was horrendous service. They were not exceptionally busy, but I didn't know any of the staff, so I have to believe they are new and inexperienced. There were also some food preparation "No-No's". They mopped the "final"food preparation area and bar area while food was being served/prepared with one of those large sloppy industrial size mops. I saw a party enter and sit at a dirty table, the waiter simply removed the dirty plates and did further clean the table. Another party came in and had to ask for bread with dinner, to which the waiter stated the bread is in the oven right now, and returned five-ten minutes later with cold bread. The patron called out the waiter and he just shrugged. I had to ask twice to get water, and this particular waiter didn't re-check on us for drink refills or during the meal. I hope this is not the future for a Willits restaurant, that used to get 4-5 stars. read more

Excellent service by Julee. Nice Italian background music to get the Italian vibe going. Lunch: Caprese salad was very good ($9.45). Penne ($9.95) plus sausage (extra $3.25) tasted very good. Interestingly their menu bragged that their penne and spaghetti was made in Italy. All the boxed penne and spaghetti that I buy comes from Italy including the boxed 99 cent pastas. This place is very yummy and has very authentic flavors, especially for being in such a rural area. Definitely one of two of my favorite pizza places in town! The ONLY Italian place I'll eat in ALL of Mendocino county!!! AMAZING!! EVERYTHING on the menu is top shelf across the board!! We eat there at minimum once every two weeks and after almost a year of doing just that we look forward to the next time we order out!! It's a cozy clean atmosphere with a little tiny bar and staff that's warms and welcoming. Friendly and courteous. This place is great! We got mozzarella garlic bread, the S & M and Kapila Phoenix pizzas and the creamy pesto with penne. It was ALL fabulous. Best pesto I've had by far in a very long time. We were driving through from Eureka and stopped, my 9 year old daughter declared she'd drive down here for the pesto any day! The garlic bread was nice and crispy and the pizza crust was crispy too. Marinara sauce was fresh and tasty. Service was awesome too, I can't remember our servers name but he was very welcoming and attentive. Our compliments to Kapila on his fabulous food! We saw the great reviews on Yelp about this place and wanted to give it a try! Well it lived up to the reviews. Its a simple little place that was delicious, fast, and friendly! Philip our host & server was fantastic and very genuine. He answered questions and gave us great food suggestions that were really amazing - did I say stuffed ravioli??! We were looking for a mid point to have dinner between home(Sacramento) and vacation(Mendocino). After seeing great yelp reviews and location, we decided to stop and have dinner here. We definitely were happy with our choice! Service was great. We split a house salad with ranch, which I was worried about because some ranch dressings are awful, this one was very good. We decided to get a half #8 and #9. Both pizzas were flavorful, fresh and filling. I can see why this place would be a locals favorite spot. Greeted by the owner and he thanked me for my military service. The owner is also a veteran and has a wall dedicated to the people from Willits who are actively serving in the military. we went yesterday (2/3/23) for dinner. we've been many times before and it's always been good. however last night both the service and food was exceptional! even with a full dinning room and one server it could not have been better! we both had the spinach ravioli. my partner had meatballs with them and I had Sugo sauce with house made sausage. Yum!The raviolis were tender, well sauced and piping hot. Knowledgeable with the menu and can steer you in any direction you want to go. We got an order of the meatballs, salad and garlic bread. I had a glass of wine, hubbie had a beer. Food came out and the meatballs were just a bit cool, bread hot and salad full of goodies. We decided to get a cannoli to go. The cannoli is our only complaint on the food. Don't go here on a weekend evening. They are under-staffed and their stove is too small the cook Told me. The food was good, but it took an hour and 20 minutes to get our meals. No apology until I complained and no updates during our waiting time. It was a $100 ticket and thought they might take something off the total for our long wait, but no. One of the best pastas we've ever had & we've had quite a few!! Highly highly recommend the fresh-made pastas here, they were scrumptious. We ordered the 6-cheese ravioli in Alfredo sauce with mushrooms and the tortellini in carbonara sauce and loved every bit of both the dishes! The chef came out to greet and check on the food at the end, which was a really nice touch.
