My friend and I came here for breakfast around 9:30am on a Saturday. It was busy, but not packed. We asked if they were serving sandwiches, and they weren't, so we got a few pastries to share. The multigrain croissant was simple but very delicious. The pesto Gruyère scone was not dry (as most scones are!), and the flavor of the ingredients was very strong. The pistachio croissant with mascarpone frosting was certainly a maximalist pastry, but it was good. I really enjoyed the frosting and pistachio filling in it, but the texture of the croissant wasn't as crisp and flaky as usual due to the weight and moisture of everything else. They also have a full coffee bar. There's not much (if anything) in terms of indoor seating, but there's a patio out front with a few tables and benches. If the weather is poor, I'd be prepared to take your food on the go.

Every order I feel transported to Europe. Recently, I brought chai and chocolate chip cookies and muesli bars to a morning tailgate, all raved about them! Today, we received a gorgeous gift of assorted pastries and cookies. The croissants are akin to a fine Parisian bakery. The cookies are balanced and have lots of filling, these are award-winning in my book. I suggest ordering on line for quicker pickup but the cafe is well-staffed and efficient.

One of my all time favorite bakeries around Boston. Their matcha is unmatched and their sweets and sandwiches are a must. There are only a handful of seats outside, though I will keep wishing they will have indoor seating one day as it is cramped inside and the line is often out the door. Nonetheless a pit stop for every time I'm craving good matcha and a sweet treat.

Had a quick trip to Cambridge and saw this bakery near hotel. I had a chocolate croissant, kouign-amman, and parfait (sorry no pic). The pastries were fresh and flakyious. I came back next day to get their breakfast sandwich that people were ordering the previous day. The sandwich was very tasty to-go item before my flight home. The place was pretty busy with locals getting their breakfast and drinks. The interior is small, so I could see the lines going outside. The outside sitting was decent with three small tables and a bench table. Overall a great fine with friendly staff and delicious pastries.

I hate to give away my spot but this place is IT. always rotating weekly specials, seasonal specials, make their own sugar cubes, unique coffeees, sourdough pizza, I don't even know what to say. They have another location but this one is the OG. I've tried most of their menu but my favorite is always the sourdough pizza. Sometimes it's underbaked but I eat it anyways. Quick service, kind, and helpful people! Super small spot with no indoor seating but some outdoor and an igloo for the winter

really disappointed by their avocado toast. The avocado is sparse, uneven, and under-seasoned. For $8 this is pathetic

I keep coming back for the almond croissants- flaky on the outside, soft and airy on the inside, with a satisfying sweet butteriness. Cosy little store, staff are always in a great mood, keep up the good job!

The space is limited. At the time I was there the line was to the door. There is no seating but they do have some tables outside. They have strictly pastry items: cakes, pies, croissants. They do have egg sandwiches. If you like carbs, this is your place.

The barbari bread is amazing. I was craving it for a while now so when I found out this bakery makes it on Thursdays, I literally took two busses and 50 minutes later I had two loaves in my hands. IT TASTES SO GOOD. I devoured them in 30 minutes. A little taste of home :). And the chocolate cake was phenomenal. Highly recommend. Worth the trip! read more

Everything here is wonderful. The croissants are perfectly flaky and buttery, the kouign-amann is decadent and sinful, and the feta za'atar scones are the perfect blend of light and savory to enjoy with an espresso. Get there early, they are busy and sell out! In nice weather it's also lovely to sit out and enjoy a coffee and a pastry in some of their outdoor seating. Definitely one of my favorite bakeries in the area. read more

Wish I took a picture of the brioche frite. If you like custard, this is a must try. It was so good !!!!!!!!!! I also tried the chocolate croissant. It was out of the oven not long ago. Nice and flaky, but the brioche frite was such a knockout so it couldn't match up to it. Brought a few other things for my wife. Definitely will return with her next time. read more

egg bun is the thing to get and only reason i return. everything you could want - perfectly custardy soft egg, bacon, tomato, AND avocado?! and cheese! and mustard! lovely. brioche bun is perfect too. croissant pastries are overpriced and nothing special. scones are good. coffee is good. read more

The best bakery in the Boston area, hands down. All baked goods are spectacular, carefully made with high quality ingredients. I wish it were a bit easier to procure bread, especially barbari, without reserving ahead, but that's the price to pay for such excellent quality! read more

Worth a special trip into Cambridge. La Saison is a tiny, perfect little French bakery (with some Iranian soul), located partway between Fresh Pond area and Huron Village on Concord Ave- (blink and you'll miss it). Their basics including croissants and pain-au-chocolats are perfection. I also highly recommend the Kouign-amann and Palmier. There are several really special bakeries in the Boston area, but La Saison really feels like a leap ahead- closer to the quality I'd expend to find at a destination bakery in Paris. A++. read more

I should have known this would be an outrageously expensive purchase after seeing the "ambiance" inside and the fact that there were no prices posted on anything. The biggest disappointment was the $11.50 loaf of sourdough that did not even have a subtle hint of sourness to it. You got me once, but not gonna get me again... read more

Arguably the best scone in Massachusetts. Had the Za'atar scone and it was to die for. Will be back to try the rest of their offerings. If you are thinking about going here, do yourself a favor and stop thinking and just do it! Well worth the trip! Wish I lived closer to go everyday or post run on the weekends. Finally tried their famous sourdough loaf and it was worth the wait and accolades. I had to preorder and prepay a few days before for Sat. My husband picked up the order around 10am and it was still warm. Due to Covid19, they only allow 1 person in store each time, so expect a line on the weekends. I loved the look and texture of the sourdough bread loaf, and it had great sourdough flavor. Tasted great with butter! read more

All of the baked goods here are delicious. I got the vanilla bean poundcake and a few of the croissants. The croissants were good - quality that I would expect from a bakery like this. The poundcake was the item that really hit it out of the park. It had the perfect amount of sweetness (this is not an overly sweet pound cake), and the texture was light while still being moist. I would post a photo but the bakery items from La Saison were so delicious we ate them all before a picture could be taken. Just moved to this neighborhood and I'm in love with this bakery. Stopped in for iced coffee & to check them out; never been here before. Counter person suggested the pistachio & rosewater cookie. It's tiny & costly....but packs a ton of extra deliciousness! What a lovely spot! Such an treat to see trays of freshly baked croissants rolling out of the back straight to the display case. This is simplicity done well, just butter, flour, elbow grease, and obviously a hefty amount of passion. I brought an assortment of pastries to my new job and I think I may soon become a favorite colleague. I'm glad to have found a little hidden treasure in this new town. I will certainly be back! I would have taken some photos for Yelp but the goods got taken faster than my millennial fingers could swipe up the camera apps. read more

Okay I love the product! Yummy croissants and other delectables! But they need to figure out their "on-line orders" process and also police the people coming in and out a bit better. Spent ten minutes waiting in line. Maybe not so bad Until I realized that there were the same people still inside when I left! Someone with a large dog that I had to step over in the crammed space. There should be a clear indication of where a person can go to get their on-line order. Also- no dogs? In other words, maybe they're all too busy baking and so it's time to hire a good police-person to tell customers where to go and when to leave! read more

Delightful, unassuming local bakery conveniently located on Concord Ave. in Cambridge, walkable from Harvard Square. The pastries are excellent ~ perfectly fresh, just the right level of sweetness (that is, not cloyingly sweet), and just the right level of buttery (that is, not overly buttery). I enjoyed the chocolate croissant and raisin-custard swirl (the latter is like a bread-and-butter pudding in pastry form!). Paired well with a cortado, mmm! Will look forward to visiting again. read more

Not a very big selection of baked good at around noon time of the day. Tried a croissant and a marble brownie, and I would rate both as 3.5 stars since neither would get me to go back there and order them again. Prices are on par with other bakeries of this type. The croissant is very flakey, but it was not buttery at all, which defeats the purpose of a croissant. The marble brownie's taste was mostly sweet and doesn't have the more complex combination of chocolate and cream cheese taste that I was anticipating. Overall, a bit disappointed. Not a place I would go seek out, but it's definitely a fine place if one happens to be right at that location. read more

What a treat! This small bakery is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. Their pastries are superb--the almond cookies at to die for, crispy on the outside and chewy within and not too sweet. And the croissants--ah, REAL butter throughout and the perfect blend of substantial and flaky . You have to order bread a day or two ahead, which we have yet to do, but I am sure it is excellent. Even the iced tea was good and the service is friendly. May they thrive! read more

Wonderful new bakery that recently opened in Cambridge. When I heard they sold my favorite pastry, the kouign-amann, I knew I had to give their goods a try. I first tried the kouign-amann, chocolate croissant, and a regular croissant. Everything was delicious and most importantly fresh. The pastries were very rich and flaky as they should always be. I know need to try their non-pastry offerings such as the cookies, breads, and brownies. read more

Love this place! The Cranberry & walnut sourdough is a family favorite and the owners are so wonderful. I think I've shamelessly had all the pastries too. My 2-year old son is obsessed with the pain au chocolat. This place is such a treat for the West Cambridge/Fresh Pond area. read more

Such a wonderful experience at La Saison. We drove in from Central MA just to visit, and were so excited to see a full bakery case! Ordered a little bit of everything. Chocolate chip cookie and multigrain croissant were fantastic, muesli bar was so satisfying (perfect amount of sweetness)! A fantastic start to the weekend; I can't wait to order bread the next time we venture into the city. read more

La Saison TRULY bakes with love! Everything (& I mean EVERYTHING) is amazing. Because of their space limitations their baking volume never matches demand, but here that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's been an opportunity to try things I wouldn't have known to order. And I've never been disappointed. From baguettes to scones (previously an aversion) to cookies, pastries, croissants and of course, their heavenly loaves, all are masterfully made. They have great coffee, but SERIOUSLY: why would you waste your money on caffeine when you can spend it on baked joy? read more

Clearly, she dislikes her job and isn't interested in customer service. It's a bad look for Fastachi. We all have bad days but this person had a serious disregard for doing her job. I made 5-6 efforts yesterday to place an order and the computer program just will not accept the information and keeps stating that I need "To follow the format,..." which I thought I was doing. I wrote to their website/email and no response. I would just forget Fastachi totally at this point, never attempt to order again, however I had discussed some options with a client who chose to receive treats from them. I don't understand why I cannot simply order online and have it go through. It has never been a possibility for me over perhaps five years trying yo order online. Never had such a problem with other vendors! They even identify on the website the l item I want, which is a variety of chocolate bark as requested by my client. But, when I double click on it, I get all the chocolate treats and I cannot find the bark. I'm very very disappointed and not sure how I will handle this. Such inconvenience and lack of customer support. They apparently have expanded their services to other stores and have what looks like a large corporate clientele. I cannot understand why they no longer accept phone calls when their system to place orders just does not work! I would love help with this particularly for this one situation and then I wouldn't bother them again and not purchase their wonderful treats as gifts. I used to walk down Concord Ave just so that I could stop by Violette Bakery for a gluten free goodie or two. After they moved, another bakery moved in and moved out. The spot lay vacant until the new owners of La Saison decided to take over the location and I can not be more thrilled ! When I decided to give them a try, I started simply with a plain croissant; since I consider those the benchmark of a good bakery. And I knew I was in buttery goodness territory after the first bite. It tasted exactly like the croissants I would purchase at one of the artisan patisserie shops in Paris that still bake croissants using traditional French methods. La Saison's pastries are a fabulous fusion of European, American and Iranian baking traditions. You have to arrive early if you want to try the Feta Zatar scone or a marvelous loaf of their crusty bread. Because they bake in small batches, their goods do sell fast. My friend ordered me La Saison's Rosewater Vanilla Fruit Cake for my birthday and it was one of the best cakes I've ever had! The cake itself was super pretty and colorful with all the different fruits and flowers on it. The cake was super fresh and the rosewater soak in each layer added a great floral taste to each bite. I would definitely recommend coming here to order cakes on special occasions! read more
