The chocolate soft serve was very chocolatey, but unfortunately very gritty. Maybe their bars are the thing to get?

I've gotten the mixed chocolate and hot chocolate several times as well. The hot chocolate is never quite the same as the store but worth trying! I was super excited to try the ice cream and got a small hazelnut ($9 for one scoop). Unfortunately it was just fine, nothing special, and sooooo tiny. Wouldn't get that again!

Chocolate! Chocolate! Chocolate!…read more So rich hot chocolate! We were craving dessert and decided to get some hot chocolate from L.A Burdock since we were in the area. The shop is super cute with plenty of chocolate gifts to take home or to buy for someone special. I really liked their displays of beautifully wrapped chocolate bars and gift sets. At the back of the shop their is a coffee shop that offers some pastries. I ordered their classic hot chocolate and my boyfriend got their spicy hot chocolate. There are a few tables to sit and enjoy your dessert and we were lucky to grab a seat because it was very busy on a late Saturday night. The drinks came out hot and super rich! The classic was very good and very chocolatety. The spicy hot chocolate was so thick and rich it felt like I was drinking a candy bar it was almost non liquid! It was very good! If you are a chocolate lover I highly recommend trying their yummy hot chocolate! You can even purchase a bag to prepare at home!

My default is usually the 9-piece box. If I really like you, you get the 9-piece box (lollll). Walking up to the display case can be dangerous; it's so hard for me to choose flavors because I really just want to try them all. There are rows of beautiful handmade chocolates in every color imaginable, and the flavors are so much fun: Vietnamese coffee, cookie butter (Biscoff), passionfruit, strawberry matcha, lavender, macadamia praline, local honey, salted caramel, and so many more. They also make seasonal treats. Around Easter, there are gorgeous big chocolate eggs that you crack open to reveal candy inside (I was SO close to buying one for myself ), along with adorable little chocolate bunnies. The chocolates are almost too pretty to eat. (I said "almost", mind you.) You admire them for a little while, and then somehow they mysteriously disappear into your mouth. NOMZ! My personal favorites are the Vietnamese coffee (of course) and the cookie butter, while some of my friends swear by the passionfruit and the fruitier flavors. I don't think I've had a bad one yet. But here's one thing that has always stuck with me, it's something that happened when I was in the shop one afternoon. A family was sampling quite a few chocolates, and I remember feeling a little bad for the owner because they were so patient and generous with everyone. I ended up making sure I bought a box to bring to friends that day, not because anyone pressured me or anything, but...don't you just wanna support a small business run by genuinely kind people? I haven't found a chocolate-loving friend who wasn't thrilled to receive a box from Tick Tock. (One of my friends are the 9-piece box in a weekend. I can't blame them, but...) Belmont is lucky to have Tick Tock Chocolates, and I hope they're around for a very long time.

The chocolate lava cake takes around 15 min to make. The size is similar to the lava cakes you see at somewhere like chilis. I honestly thought it was pretty similar to a cake at chilis besides it being less sweet. The ice cream we chose was salted honey (I think, can't remember exactly besides it being salty). The ice cream paired very well with the cake, but it came in such a tiny cup. It was the size of the cups you get at the dentist to rinse. Actually, it might be even smaller than that. The cookie was a standard chocolate chip cookie. Nothing to run to, so I don't think it was worth the $6. Just warm up a Market Basket cookie and you'd have the same effect. Honestly, this place was good, but not worth the price. However, I didn't get to try the mousse so maybe that's worth it

I know pricing might be a complaint, but it's good to keep in mind that growing, harvesting, and making chocolate itself is a resource demanding process and would be reflected in quality.
