I'm so grateful this place opened! I didn't dine in but the first thing I noticed was how beautiful they made the place. Their tacos had me say "WOW!" when I took my first bite, they definitely made it their own and I love that. The carne asada dish could've used a little more salt but it was still so delicious. First time coming to this restaurant. Breakfast served all day on Sundays. Everything looked so good! Tried a Diablo burrito and it came with Pico, sour cream, and hashbrowns. All was yummy. I saw someone else's meal of chilaquiles with carne asada and it looked incredible so I will try that next! Big menu with tons of options. Very friendly service as well. This place takes the Americanized Mexican dish and returns it to its authenticity by using quality food products and cooking everything fresh. I highly doubt there is a food warmer in this place. We went in on a Friday in the early evening. There were maybe 2-3 tables with folks eating and finishing meals, so we figured service should be pretty good with two servers and a nearly empty restaurant. We were seated and ordered drinks and food soon after sitting. I did ask a few questions about some menu items some we'd never been there before, and the server either didn't really know how to answer or was annoyed I asked, so the answer to a couple of things was "I don't know." The salsa served with the chips was very bland and heavy on tomato and heat and no other flavor. We got our food after a longer than expected wait, but it was good. We had asked if the green sauce was spicy at all and the answer was one of the "I don't know" things, and we asked because we fully admit to not being able to enjoy much heat at all in our food, and often green sauce is more mild than red sauces, at least where we normally go. This green sauce had a lot more heat than expected for us, but the red sauce was nice and smoky. The chicken in the tacos, burritos, and enchiladas was great. Very flavorful and juicy and there was a good amount in our entrees. Unfortunately once we were served we were essentially forgotten about. Asked for drink refills multiple times and waited a really long time then husband had to go ask again and the server forgot again. We may try going again at some point but for the high prices and the mediocre service, not sure. $4.50 for iced tea or fountain drinks, and their prices being a little higher across the board than a lot of other Mexican food places around make it less appealing. read more

I stopped by early afternoon on a Wednesday, inside is so bright and clean, not at all outdated or how another review described it. The service is welcoming and very friendly. I'm not sure if another reviewer was in a different time of day, but they most definitely have a couple of menus separate from dinner. An over abundance of breakfast choices and American sandwiches on this takeout copy, but I was given a laminated lunch menu on my visit. I don't care for refried beans drowning in shredded cheese so I typically order whole beans on my first visit, but now I know I'll be ordering their house made refried beans every single time I go. But the hours for saturday was opening at 8:00 but we came at 9:00, and at 9:30 they told us they were just opening the kitchen and it took so long for us to get our food even though we were the only ones in there. We have tried different places around town and this place has been on our top list of favorites! Friendly staff along with delicious chips and salsa. Our food tasted so good and fresh! We ate here for the 1st time tonight. They did a lot of work on the building and it looks great. I had the house margarita on the rocks. If you like tart drinks like I do, this is perfect. No sweet & sour mix here - real lime juice only. Fantastic. I ordered the Pollo al la creama. Not your traditional creama but more of a creamy'ish tomato sauce with a slight spice. Amazing food, supreme service, and excellent food. We went today for brunch and what great food! The menu is huge, with tons of brunch, lunch, and dinner options. This is our second visit here, and we will be back for sure! Don't overlook this as a great breakfast/brunch option! My husband had the Bronco scramble, which was a chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast. He loved it. I had the California breakfast burrito, which was huge and delicious. Love the paintings! Chips were hot and fresh. Salsa bright and tasty. Son said quesadilla was best he's ever had. I had pollo crema verde and it was scrumptious. Very average Mexican fare. Building is run down and not in a great area. Service was good and the inside is clean but old. Food was not impressive nor very tasty. We came with a party of four for lunch. We each had a beer and a lunch special and our bill came to $80 before tax and tip----pricey for what you are getting. There are much better options for Mexican in South Everett on nearly every corner or drive to Marysville and try La Terraza for an amazing lunch. I'd been curious about this place and finally stopped in for lunch last week. I don't think the location is a big deal, I'll go almost anywhere for good Mexican food. The restaurant seemed clean, I was served chips and salsa which were okay. Not great but not bad. I was hoping for some kind of lunch option, so smaller portions for smaller price. There was no lunch menu that I could see, but full on "dinner" menu choices and premium prices. I asked the server about lunch menu items and she said they don't have a lunch menu except they do have something with mostly American food choices. I wasn't there for American food so I tried to put together my own lunch meal by doing a la carte side dishes. I picked the Chile Relleno ($11.90) and side of refried beans ($3.24). Otherwise the "Chile Relleno" meal was $18.39. I have no idea how it differs, it sounds like what I got with my a la carte choices. The Relleno was large in size and pretty good. The cheese inside was very firm, not melty like I expected. The flavor was fine. The tomato sauce tasted like simple tomato sauce. The refried beans were okay. I only ate about 1/4 of them, they just weren't that tasty and had no cheese on top. A lot of places scatter some shredded cheese they melt on top, this wasn't like that. Overall my experience was just okay. I won't go back, there are too many other Mexican restaurant choices that do a better job and offer a "lunch" menu with lunch prices. I know food prices have soared and I don't have a problem paying premium prices for premium food that is a pleasure to eat. What I ate wasn't delicious, it was just okay. And it seems that the average price must be $20 ish per meal including tax. Trying not to write a bad review but just relate my experience and opinion in an honest way. Bottom line for me is that the food was just okay, the location and ambiance were "meh" and the the prices are steep for mediocre food. read more

We decided to stop in since our favorite restaurant parking was full. Service was great, it was a little cool inside and noisy (a product of the structure). I guess I like my Mexican food Americanized because I thought the food lacked typical flavorings - the ground beef taco seemed to be just ground beef and onions but no 'taco' seasoning. The fajitas lacked the depth of seasoning I'm used to in fajitas - maybe it was an off night. read more
