Fantastic menu and prices are very reasonable. Service was fast, efficient and Texas friendly. Food csme out fast and hot. Love the rustic texas decor. Love the fact the breakfast potatoes are cooked on griddle not deep fried.

On my very first visit to La Rueda Restaurant on Oakland Blvd., not too crowded!! Gotta love this best place to have breakfast on the weekends!!

Great food for a very good price! We never walk away spending more than $20-$25 for the 2 of us. Service can be hit or miss at times, but the servers are very nice and usually pretty quick to get you anything they forgot. Besides serving your standard Mexican food, they do have a few veggie options, including cheese quesadillas, cheese enchiladas and chiles rellenos. We've brought different friends here several times and they always leave satisfied (and have continued coming back). We've been here plenty of times for their breakfast and dinner. La Rueda is BYOB so bring a bottle of champagne and turn your breakfast into a brunch or bring your favorite beer for dinner! Definitely recommend this place.

Beef. Fajita. Burrito. Those are three glorious words. Here's a few more.... Fresh made salsa, fresh made guacamole and all coming from a little house down Oakland in East Fort Worth. One of the guys at work had been here and liked it so that was good enough to try it out. All there is is a neon "Open' sign and a green house. It does not say La Rueda outside the building, if you pass it, you end up on Lancaster, and at night, that's not a fun place to be. So don't pass it. Now for this beef fajita burrito($5.50). Stuffed with rice, beans, onions, cheese and of course lots of tasty, tasty meat. I topped it with the guac, salsa and even got fresh chopped jalapenos to cover it with. You have choices of chicken, brisket, taco beef or fajita beef. The salsa is fresh and has a great snap to it. If you don't like spicy you may be afraid, but I loved it. The guacamole was creamy and had a little bit of chunk to it. Some of the other menu items include flautas, enchiladas and biztek, There are also American options like brisket and fried chicken. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and are open all seven days of the week. Most all options are under $10.00 and it looks like a place I will return to. They have a small parking lot and it's small inside as well, so not alot of seating but it is worth a stop. Enjoy.

New exterior color (2015). Same great food.

The place has an updated look on the exterior. The bright green paint is gone, replaced by a soft tan color. Inside, the food is just as good as always. The regular salsa is much tamer now, but if you want the spicy stuff, just ask for the green salsa. It will kick your a--. Still BYOB.

Got exactly what I ordered and it is amazing!!! Salsa was extremely flavorful all on its own.

We eat at "the wheel" quite often. The food always comes out fast and the portions are huge. I almost always leave with enough leftovers to form another meal. Even when the whole building is full and we were seated upstairs, we had our order within 10 minutes of placement. On my last visit I got a beef burrito that was gigantic and under $6. I didn't think it was going to be this big. My wife usually orders the La Rueda platter, which comes with a taco, chalupa, enchilada, rice and beans. They'll give you a free to-go fountain drink or iced tea if you ordered one with your meal. The FWPD sure likes La Rueda. There's usually a couple of officers in there grubbing down. Lots of city employees, firefighters, and dog catchers frequent the restaurant. If you're a chips and salsa aficionado - you'll enjoy a visit. The cold salsa is delicious and full of flavor, and the chips are thin, warm, with the perfect amount of salt. I've eaten enough chips to wish I made a smaller meal order before. Wednesday (beef) and Friday (chicken) are lunch fajita specials for 5.99, which is a spectacular deal. The brisket sandwich is excellent and the same price daily.

Chicken quesadilla (Monday special $6.50) YUM!
Lauren M.

Hubby and I went for lunch today, around 1pm - they continued to do a steady business the whole time we lunched. They have expanded the dining area so it's much more spacious and roomy-feeling! Big improvement! Started with chips and salsa - yum! Salsa was cold, mild and a little chunky. Really hit the spot. We asked if they had queso and they have 'nacho cheese' so we decided to try it. Yup, that's right, a bowl of bright orange-yellow nacho cheese sauce arrived....it was hot and when you dipped in there, then into the salsa, it made a nice little appetizer! Monday's special was either a quesadilla or a cheeseburger for $6.50, so I opted for the chicken quesadilla, adding pico to it when it was cooked. Our waitress, Betty, only charged me $0.50 for the pico, instead of $1.00 for a full side order - nice. All I can say is OMG this was probably one of THE best chicken quesadillas I've ever had! The shredded chicken was super juicy and there was plenty of it. They added the pico, plus it had cheese inside, so it was very delish - very flavorful, which is hard to do with a flour tortilla and chicken, but they nailed it! It was dusted with some white cheese and chopped cilantro and I could only eat 1/2! Score! Hubby ordered the ground beef chile relleno and proclaimed it 'delicious', and proceeded to devour the whole thing. The rice was good, with little peas and carrots in it, I think. He didn't touch his beans, but if you're a bean person, they looked good. Two iced teas rounded out our meal and it was about $25 before gratuity. This place is a local gem - it's BYOB, and you can order breakfast all day long! Their menu is very diverse, from breakfast (tacos, regular ole eggs ad chicken fried steak, etc.) to burgers and sandwiches to typical Tex-Mex of fajitas, enchiladas and the like. Definitely on our go back again soon list, for sure! Happy eating!!

$13, 12oz ribeye and two sides. Holy crap. It was really good. Good hot sauce and chips too.

However, I find the food to be quite a let down, not worth the price. I had the sourdough and it was good. I had the steak and fries for the main course with the upgrade cuts of steak. The fries were well seasoned however not all was good evenly and some over cooked and some undercooked. The steak was okay, the sears were bad and so was the overall flavor. Overall, I think it's a great place for a business meet up and if you are standing at the property but nothing too special. Note: this was lunch menu and I heard the burger here is good so many you can try that but I wouldn't recommend the steak at all.

We opened with a cocktail from the bar, which set a high bar for what followed -- unfortunately, not everything cleared it. The Deviled Eggs with Spicy Best Maid Pickles arrived looking the part, four to an order, but tasted like they'd forgotten to show up to their own party. Bland, flat, and in desperate need of seasoning, we reached for the salt shaker, which helped, but shouldn't have been necessary. The pickles, to their credit, were doing their absolute best and were genuinely the only flavor happening on that plate. Skip these. The pickles deserve better supporting cast. The Cheeseburger with Wasp Sauce on a potato bun, however, is a different story entirely. We ordered it medium, half expecting the kitchen to interpret that however it pleased, but it arrived cooked exactly as requested, which felt like a small victory worth celebrating. The Wasp Sauce is a mystery worth solving, and the house-made chips that come alongside are fresh, crisp, and dangerously snackable. Pro tip: order a side of ranch for dipping. You're welcome. We also added a side of fries, which were equally excellent. No notes. Little Red Wasp has real charm, great energy, a fun bar, and a cheeseburger worth crossing Main Street for. Just steer clear of the deviled eggs and order the chips with abandon.

Very upscale area so the inside is upscale PRICE: ~$70 I think WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - I was surprised by how fancy this place was (it is in the Clearfork shopping area which is known as a bougie shopping center so not super surprised). - The biscuits were so so good I wish that I took a picture of them but I recommend those for sure! The fried chicken and kale salad complemented each other so well I highly recommend as well. - The deviled eggs were good but they are just basic so you can skip those (unless if you were craving it). - The pimento cheese was very good too it was packed with flavor. I wish it came with more bread but I'm assuming we could've asked for more. - A little pricier than you would think but honestly this place had so much flavor I'm not gonna continue to complain about that lol.

We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.

However the bathroom sinks may just be an elaborate prank pulled on every guest of this hotel. There are many photos already on here, but the pictures don't do it justice. The sink is approximately 7" x 12", and has a mirror jutting out over a portion of it, leaving you with roughly 4-5" of functional sink space. This will be the smallest sink you've ever used in your life (and I've spent lots of time in NYC and Chicago, where I've used some very small sinks). Need to wash your hands? You're getting water on your feet. Shave? Better wear a bathing suit. Wash your face? A wetsuit is recommended. Accidentally turn the water on too high when doing any of the above?
