He…read morewas super responsive and even though there were some challenges (drove to the middle of nowhere New Jersey to drop my car) it was a reasonable price compared to others. Issues were threefold: - Eric basically represented and used a facility that does its own direct auto transport. When questioned (because they were cheaper) he highlighted his business as better due to a number of factors. None of these ended up coming to fruition. - the Rando he got to transport my car was horrible. Lack of communication or updates. Ended up delivering the car two or three days later than promised (meaning I missed being able to inspect the car). And throughout the process was full of lies regarding arrival time and why he wasn't delivering on time. - car was damaged during transport but because I was out of town for 2 months after the fact and wasn't able to confirm and share this with Eric (because it was delivered late) I had no recourse for costs to fix the damage. - finally, In reviewing his end of year books, Eric got confused about a voided transaction (I had been charged twice initially and there was a void in his books). He assumed that it was me doing it due to my dissatisfaction and charged my credit card again without confirming the issue with me. He left messages while I was in a meeting and then charged my card without confirming. When I called, he apologized for his angry action but for someone who highlights professionalism amongst his traits, I feel this was way out of line. I was going to just leave things as is and not write a review and leave things as they were in August but given the action he took today I felt compelled to warn others.

She offered to refund the $200 extra that I had to pay, which changed my review from 1/5 to 3/5 thanks to the considerate phone call and the refund. Review: I had a very unprofessional experience. The yelp reviews all seemed good and that's why I picked this company, but it was a bad experience that cost me time and money. I spoke with Kathleen who helped me set up the everything smoothly and I was given a "guaranteed quote" to transport my car from Long Island out west. I gave her a 4 day pick up window trying to ensure the pick up happens before I have to take my flight out. She said that sounds good and they would pick it up within that time range. After calls throughout the week, they finally told me one day before my flight (this was the last day of the pickup time range) that I would need to drop off my car to New Jersey (which is a 2-hour drive) and that it would cost $200 more to ship it. At this point, I had no choice but to agree with them. It was absolutely ridiculous to make me do 5-10% of the moving and to then increase the cost by $200 (or roughly 20%). The only positive was getting my car in 7 days, the driver was good.

    This is purely for car transport-I did not have this company move my personal items…read more When you first ask for a quote to move your vehicle they are all over it...emails come back in an acceptable amount of time, your contact person is always available to speak.... The person I worked for was based out of CA (I was in NYC at the time-so be aware to the 3 hour time difference). But watch for your pricing with this company and ask for everything in writing...one day to transport my car it was one price and the next day it was 400$ more expensive when I spoke to someone else. Then when you agree...sign the contract and hand over your money you might as well no exist. So The moving company and I agreed a window and date for my car pick up. I waited for someone to call or contact me with a time and the time frame...no one...I emailed and called with no response...I finally got nasty and then thats when they called back. The driver called and said he would be at the location by 200 PM...Then he he said he couldn't make it (and proceeded to call me several other times with a different time to pick up every time he called) and it was getting dark so we agreed on a time the next day...he was still late the next day as well by over an hour. Then my car was in his possession and I wanted to see when my car would arrive to Seattle...No response from the driver at all for 2 days...to call or to text. Then I called and emailed my point person at Trico...he was never ever in. Then when I said I was going to report to the authorities for a Stolen vehicle....then magically he replied. Then magically the next day the driver contacted me and said he was in the mountains??? Really for 2 days...BS. No apologies nothing...they are very blasé about anything they do...they do not take fault for anything... I am fortunate my car did come back in one piece although very dirty...and for car transport I would not recommend this company...you do get your car eventually but there is poor customer service and no responsibility unless you threaten them.

I looked at several firms that serviced LA-OR, and all had significant negative reviews. Except Trico. The reviews were spot on. Every aspect of the service - from communication, efficiency, timing and personnel, were as good as I could reasonably expect. Trico clearly takes customer service seriously, and I felt valued throughout. I was helped, guided and looked after during a complicated move of stuff from both LA and Upstate New York to a new address in Bend OR, and everything happened smoothly and efficiently. There were no hidden costs, no unpleasant surprises, and everything arrived at our new place swiftly and intact. Very happy with my choice.
